Seriously. Buy Renters Insurance. Just do it. There are so many things in life you have no control over.. whether it be getting robbed, a water pipe breaking in your place (or your neighbors place), the resulting costs of having to move and rent a place in the meanwhile until your unit is repaired or you find somewhere else permanent to live.. someone suing you .. so on and so forth. For the $10-15 a month-ish it would cost.. it is so worth it to protect all of your things and legal-financial self. The world is full of "things only happen to other people" people on the 10 o'clock news, crying about how they never thought anything like "this" could happen to them. Don't be one of those Jonses. I'm not saying you aught to throw yourself into a panic and become a hermit or *.phobe.. but you really aught to spend the equivalent of a sushi roll once a month on protecting all of your personal belongings and legal/financial self. Nevermind, most insurance companies offer discounts on your auto insurance if you get a package deal.
