EDIT: I wrote that last night, tired as frick, so omitted all the details to the game. After watching the replay, basically both sides played solidly. I'm a bit surprised as that being Jon's 4th game ever in his BB career and the improvements executing the box strategy almost flawlessly. What gave me the advantage was the favorable Injury die rolls. Even though the skavens were short-manned all game, there was a point where Jon could have taken a 2-1 lead with an amazing long pass. So the game was much closer than realized.

Seriously, I offered a good beatdown to the skavens! pretty awesome game. Pretty much all game I had at least 2-3 guys up on Jron, and by the end of the game most of his players were knocked out cold. There was 2 guys left standing. From turn 14, my passer had the butter fingers or his hand shoved up his butt, so he critically fumbled to pick up the ball twice despite the sure hands skill.

The last drive was the cancellation of all the lousy luck added up to that point. nice quick pass, handoff, and 2 GFI's for VICTORY!

Put it this way, in turns 14-16, I had three or fewer guys on the field, and there was STILL a substantial chance we could've tied. It was crazy. It came down to him HAVING to make a pickup, pass, and go for it run in turn 16.

Good game! Yeah, I was up 2-1 and was within scoring range sometime around turn 13 or 14 and I decided to run it along the edge to play out the clock. It is cheaps but I was afraid of the chaos line at the beginning of a possession and with my luck he'd score twice in a couple turns and kill some dudes! The dice gods were on my side but I think I'm also getting better at using my skinks to tie shit up. Yeah, they're flimsy but in this game his chaos just couldn't get a break with blocks n' junk.

Some brutal tossing around of ragdoll Chaos Warriors and beastmen (seemingly mostly be their own blocks), followed by some dodgy ass skinks, and for desert some end of game stalling and beatdown, leaves BC Kislev 2009 with 10 players on the roster, missing two with injuries next game, and a 1 - 3 loss under our belts. We was whupped! I understand pissing in the cornflakes of the dice gods this morning was not the smartest thing to do, but it seemed like a good idea at the time.
