Sweet!

My company is shut down all next week and everybody is on furlough. We're going camping for several days but starting Thursday... I'm getting my blub bowl on!
Good luck Art!

And cool that Blood Bowl is good! I'll grab it this weekend - house sitting my folks place still so no use in pre-ordering something when I don't have a computer to d/l it to. I'll grab it sat/sun.

| Blood Muthafuckin Bowl

I have downloaded and played a few solo games and it is awesome! I think you can just go to the Cyanide Blood Bowl Website and get in on the digital download version. $49.99, and I think it will be available after the 26th for non-preorder people. Check it! The Action Team League Vol II awaits!

So far I have trounced the 'hard' AI in an entry level tournament ( 2-0 vs humans, 3 -0 vs. dwarfs, I play against some skaven next), so I don't know if the AI either a) sux, or b) is being scaled, which will be nice.

Art: I owe you an email, apologies. Will get 'er done shortly! And you could be applying to places as awesome as Cleveland, Guam, Hades, and Siberia and they would all be better than Lost Wages!
SIMPLE GREEN IS PEOPLE!!!?! Oh wait.. that isn't right.

Homo says what?

Weeee... so, a little bit of light at the end of the tunnel, I've gotten two call backs for job openings in the greater Seattle area. Still haven't even sniffed a single response from resumes sent out in response to job postings in the greater San Francisco area (oh welp).

I fly up to Seattle on the 3rd to interview for a position with an insurance company ranked #1 in the U.S. to work for. Only a week to go! I can't frigging wait.

You are hilarious, sir, I have no follow-up to that.

As for the minis, I ended up soaking them in a solution called Simple Green (non-toxic, biodegradable cleaning product) for about two days and then taking the toothbrush to 'em. I didn't need to wear gloves or anything, my hand is a little wrinkly like I'd been washing dishes for a while but otherwise OK. The paint came off pretty easily and the minis don't seem any worse for wear.

I think I'll try priming a small batch of these guys this weekend and see if the problem happens again.
Jon - The primer probably reacted to the plastic. I heard of similar things happening with vinyl model kits. While I'm not exactly sure what kind of plastic they use for the Battlelore figures, I'm always nervous painting the softer plastics. It's hit or miss. Unfortunately, I don't know of any fixes.

It's good to hear you are still writing. But please, no more furries snuff stories.

| Clouseau vs Cato

Nothing fancy here, just saw one of the Pink Panther movies last night and the Clouseau vs Cato fight scene cracked my ass up. Stupid slapstick! Rrrrraaaaaarrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrgh!

| Happy Father's Day

... even to those individuals on the Action Team, who may be using family and fatherhood as a shield, a "beard" as it were, to deny the homosexual impulses that throb in their loins. (Hint, it's not Art.)

Various things:
- My own dad is 70 in a few days. Holy shit. Still partying hard and ready to attend bachelor parties in my place, though.

- How is it possible that this year is almost halfway over already?

- After playing Ancients with Aeryk at the con, I got inspired to start playing Command & Colors games again and dug out Battlelore with the intention of painting the guys I'd primered so long ago. Only to discover... something weird happened to the primer. It became glossy and took on an unpleasant, tacky texture. No way it would hold paint. No idea what happened there because it definitely wasn't like that when I threw it in the box (and I'm pretty sure it was fully dry when I did so).

- After many dry years, I'm finally working on a piece of writing that I have a feeling is, actually, good. In fact, the feeling unnerves me because I like it so much and I'm scared I'll fuck it up. Still plugging away at it though. Right now my job sucks hard so I'm basically taking hour and a half lunches, writing during that time, and considering that my "real job."

- Earthdawn 3rd edition! Fuck and Yeah!
Happy Fathers Day Update:

Kids are awesome. I love being Dad. Also, yesterday was the anniversary. We've been together now for 13 years, which just seems like a ridiculous amount of time, but it has gone so fast.

We've officially committed to Operation: GTFO of Vegas. I can't keep working 70 hour weeks and have the life I want to have with family and friends. Plus, with the company not coming through on promises of advancement and raises, there just isn't the financial incentive either. So, I've been pumping out resumes and cover letters the last couple of weeks.. and I have an interview in Seattle! Weeeeee! It's over the 4th of July weekend which means I'll be away from the family and that sucks, but if it means I get hired and we can move out of this town.. it will have been VERY worth it.

Hope all is well with you guys. Off to be with the fam for Dad's day.
