| D'oh

That sucks shit. Car accidents are the Blurst. I still occasionally get flashes of the nightmare on I-5. Ick. Sucks about the hit and run. Did anyone get plates or ID the car? And the insurance companies. Ooof. Sorry to hear you have to go through that.

Funny that you mention it, but every time I have been in an accident I have been in a good mood. Once on my way home to pack for the convention. Once on the way back from the Castro Street Halloween party when it was still great and finally on my way home on Dec 23rd to visit the family. All good events turned sour.

| bang.

Just got in a fucking car wreck. FUCK. I've wrecked 3 fucking cars. THIS TIME I was the victim of a hit n' run. On the way to work this morning around 7am I was stopped behind a bus who was stopped at a railroad crossing. I was in a good mood, just picked up a fuckin' DONUT when I look in my rear view and all the sudden is a fast white jeep coming RIGHT at me. He swerves up onto the curb on the right, nails me in the fuckings back - my head jams into the head rest - then he side swipes the bus then drives off. This is across the street from the Hawthorne police dept. RIGHT across the street. 45 goddamn minutes later a cop shows up. LOL, yes indeed. The guy got away, I had to give all these police reports n shit, and then get my car toed home. The rear passenger side tire was fuckin jammed into the car - it's fucked. Then on the phone with insurance for a long ass time.

Fucking-a.

1. You know Aimey was way addicted to that game for a few days too. Looks pretty cool. Occasionally she would rope me into helping her solve a puzzle.

2. So TheActionTeam is all set for Kubla. I booked two rooms starting Thursday May 22nd through Monday May 26th. Supposedly PetAr and Pump will be arriving Thursday. I have Friday off so I will probably check into the rooms Thursday night and meet those foolios Thursday night after work. Hopefully we will have more leverage for a sweet room arrangement. Maybe a little mini pre-con gaming is in order. All those up for it, come visit. F-Yeah! Do it!

3. Fuck yo Momma

4. I got a haircut for the first time since November. Go shag master!

So close Ryan... and yet SO far... How many hours are in a full day? More than 12 I think. But otherwise, you're more on track than I was. I didn't think of the 11:12 11:13 etc - thats the sequence that fucked me up. Yeah, I did a few more puzzles after that - some hard ass shit. But pretty cool. I liked the one where you need to get 3 chicks and 3 wolves across a river with certain conditions. This game makes me feel SO goddamn dumb. :)
I think the answer is 17?

1:11, 2:22, 3:33, 4:44, 5:55, 10:00, 12:22, 11:10, 11:11, 11:12, 11:13, 11:14, 11:15, 11:16, 11:17, 11:18, 11:19

I too have this game, and while it is charming, somewhat relaxing, challenging, with an interesting method of narrative, it is also monotonous and slow at times, so I have mixed reviews so far. I guess it gets a thumbs up from me and I would advise others to play it, but with those few caveats.

I think I am 70 or so puzzles into it, and have d/l'ed another 3 or so, one of which I find impossible.

Some of the puzzles are ridiculous (both hard and easy) and some are just downright lame and illogical. Sour grapes? Maybe, but I don't think so.

My aunt (Susie) played through it and solved all but 3 puzzles she said. She also said the story is interesting, though I may have figured it out (mostly) by watching a certain cutscene that mayhaps offered too much information...

Besides that 3:33 puzzle, which I needed a pencil and paper, I have found that the rest of the puzzles (that I can recall) usually rely on some form of misdirection and informational red herrings. Some seem like you need algebra, and then end up being the most obvious answer that needs no mathematics at all.

All in all, good stuff. The more I talk about it the more I want to play it! So, I guess my review has been bumped up from a B- to a B+ in the span of a few lines of text!

I have that game too! I'm pretty far into it. The puzzles get a lot harder as you go along but they really suck you in. I'm a sucker for puzzles.

THAT clock puzzle was tough for me too. I know a couple people who've been stumped by that one and I think it induces brain farts. For example, while I was working it out, for some reason I was accounting for times like 6:66, 7:77, 8:88, etc.

| This motherfucking game!

I'm playing the DS game Professor Layton right now. Really cool puzzle game. Little bit "adventure" too, but the meat is in the riddles. I'm only on like the 5th (out of 125) puzzle, but I just had to get 3 hints on it to figure it out. Take a stab:

| ENRON NEEDS TO WATCH THIS JUST FOR THE MOTORCYCLE

That was the funniest thing on the Internets I have seen in a really, really, really long time.

Easily a top 10, maybe top 5, EVAR.

And I write this with tears in my eyes and only halfway through watching it.

Wow.

| thanks marketing guys

I got a free can of Full Throttle yesterday and noticed on the side of the can some text:

(at) full throttle: if a person or a machine is at full throttle, they are doing something as well and with as much energy as they can

Gee fuckheads, thanks a lot for explaining what this extremely obscure term means. Truly America was confused by this mystery. If only more products had these helpful definitions.

wonder bread: a wonder bread is a bread that infuses awe, joy, and nourishment to the one who eats it

combat commander: a commander is one who leads other men, and combat is a state in which men fight other men. therefore, a combat commander is one who leads other men while those men are in combat. in this game, you represent such a man.
