| Blood Bowl Grave

I will be dead, and Blood Bowl will be the world sport. The rest of the AT will all own their own franchises, and get together in their luxury spaceship boxes for the matches to give each other good-natured ribbings as their teams win and lose. You will all watch your grandchildren play and laugh and you will think to yourselves what a wonderful life Blood Bowl has given you. All that you are, all that your legacy will be, all that others want to be, will be tied to the grand old sport of Blood Bowl.

Then, one of you will take pause for a moment, not entirely sure why, and you will be hit with a vague, foggy memory. You will turn to the others and ask if they remember a fellow by the name of Eric Hessell. The rest will reply, "nope", and continue on into an infinity of Blood Bowl Nirvana.

| Oh, no, no

The game group may have facilitated a Blood Bowl league, Aeryk, but it was you all along tough guy.

It was you all along.

| BB Joy?

I'm happy, yet saddened that it took some dude from SF to get you to try out BB when I had been trying for years and years....

...and years.

And all I got for my efforts was Blood Bowl Hell: The Boardgame.

:(
Aeryk, perhaps it will distract from your dual angers if I mention that Matt is so fired up about Blood Bowl, we're talking about starting up a once-a-month league. Games of Berkeley will sell Specialist minis, so I've special ordered an Amazon team....

If any of you local boys would like to join in I'm sure there's room!
I liked spidey 1 and 2, but not enough to worship as false idols or anything. Haven't seen three but it's pretty universally reviled. The good news is, Sam raimi is back to doing crazy ass horror movies! Drag Me to Hell is supposed to be off the muthafuckin' chain, to. Hoping to see it when I get some free time.

Speaking of which, Ja-el, all indications are that I will be spending this weekend getting raped in the ear by work so our rematch will have to wait... our shocking roulette rematch, that is!

Saw Up last night - quite good. Super sad in parts!
Oh Shit! Game time...

Any Boardgame conventions going on this weekend a la Jons? Having another go at the Starcraft game seems called for. Uh,... Need you guys to confirm that with me asap... hehe jk man! I think i'm desensitized to office email lingo.

NBA finals tonight! ABC at 6pm. Watch it!

Lakers in 5 Games

| Oh Shit... Now he's MAD!

Yeah, I have to say I am not a big fan of "ASAP" either. It just comes across wrong. Almost insincere.

And thank you that someone agrees with me about the Spiderman movies. I just didn't get into any of them. The movies just seemed weak sauce that got weaker as the trilogy went on.

On-line RPG sounds intriguing, but I will remain skeptical. I am just not sure I can keep the same attention focus over an internet connection. There is just something about actual being in the same room as the DM. That being said, I really like RPG action and would definitely try it out with an open mind.

| Things that piss me off right now

#1 - Anyone telling me in text or verbal, that they need anything ASAP. Even asap pisses me off. Fuck you.

#2 - The success of the Spiderman movies. I watched about 25 minutes of part 3 last night and it was the worst movie ever. The best part about it was turning it off.

That's all. I guess I'm a pretty happy guy overall right now, only two things are pissing me off.

Oh shit, I had no idea that these things really existed outside of my mind 10 years ago! Boom, we got 3. How strange and awesome to try and play a game this way! Dennis can finish that epic 9-man game and I can finally run Chill for the gang :)

| In a heartbeat

I would play RPGs over the internet in a heartbeat.

Tinychat seems handy for the video conferencing aspect.

Check these out:
Gametable
RPTools

I've only scratched the surface of these but these are both seemingly popular options for online table top gaming. Gametable is really easy to use. RPTools seems really powerful but is more in depth.
I would totally run Buck Rogers campaigns if we had a webcam group going, ahahaha. Yeah, I'd love to do it, but comeon, we could only ever get two of us to podcast so I can't imagine us getting a bigger group to actually vid-cast. Someday!

Yeah dude, don't sweat the gold membership, I feel you. Maybe when Left 4 Dead 2 comes out you can set it up :) (or we can get it for the PC and then problem solved.)

Anyone watch Tonight Show with Conan yet? It's pretty good - been watching them a day late on Hulu - I just can't get into watching tv at midnight anymore, but dinner time is a-ok.

| Video gamez

I sort of tuned into the twitter/videocast of the big E3 press conferences on Monday, and then just watched the Giant Bomb summary of Day 0 at E3. Cool things coming out, and a lot of cool looking games, and all that, but I still just wanna play boardgames. Boo.

I am trying to get my garage organized and am going through a new round of junk that was brought to my house that was my mom's, so there is ever more crap piling up in the garage trying to defeat my attempts to make it a soundproof gaming room with couch and wargame table. But I am working on it. Until I get a space carved out, I just can't see getting a gold membership because the way my house is designed, my voice carries through the house because we only have one door that closes off Wylies room (the rest of the house is just doorways), and the living room shares the headboard wall of Wylie's room, so voice chat is a no-no at night. But i'm getting there.

What I really need is a fire to ravage this place so I don't have to go through stuff anymore and can just be done with it. Not really, but sort of. Be careful what you wish for and all that, but still. Maybe someone could break into the house while we are all at work and school, and then unload all the boxes in the garages, donate it all to goodwill, and be done with it. That would be ideal, because the crap that I have in there I don't really even know about until I see it, and only then do I care about keeping it. Me want clean slate.

We should do a tinychat.com sometime. It's like our dreams of playing D&D through webcams are coming true! I know there is a way to use it while playing a game somehow to fully recreate the face to face gaming experience, only we won't need to wear pants.

Lots of cool stuff coming out of E3 - didn't you go to an E3 Dennis/Jon/Peter/Somedude!?

Tales of Monkey Island. Tell-Tale doing episodic Monkey Island's similar to thier Sam n Max games (which are cool too) and then LucasArts is giving the original Monkey Island a face-lift w/ new graphics and voice overs for an XBLA release.

Left 4 Dead 2 comes out Nov 17 - comeone Eric, I re-upped my xbox gold from amazon for only $30 for 13 months! You wanna watch them Netflix and play 1v100 don't ya!?

And some other crazy shit (a Metal Gear game for Xbox) etc etc. Yay for games.

EDIT: Seriously, if you have any love for Monkey Island, peep dis.
