I searched for the app last week and it wasn't there. Now it mysteriously appeared and is available for sweet download! Get ready for some challenges.
Nothing else exciting going on round here. No wisdom teeth being pulled, no dentures, not even tooth decay. Short of dental work, I'd be down for some team fortress from time to time! although I'm never on steam, so you'll have to text me or something when you go online.
EDIT: wtf. it's free to download, but you need to pay for the teams to play it!

The summoner wars app is pretty awesome. I'm not too familiar with most of these factions either but Johnny and I played a lot of the tundra irks and phoeneiz elves because I do have that starter set. Also bought the "everything bundle" it's very much worth. Game have a lot of depth and Ive been having fun so far.
Just imagine how much more embarrassing it will be when I beat you, since I've never even played the game! HA!
Think this one is a lost cause but: anyone have any interest in jumping into a little Team Fortress 2 from time to time? It perfectly satisfies my need to shoot stuff for half an hour at a time. Plus, the random loot is fun as hell. Anyway I'm always down so let me know if you want to shoot some dudes with me.

I finally was able to d/l Summoner Wars and purchase the bundle on iOS and it's fun! You should all buy it and take advantage of my total lack of familiarity with ANY of the included classes :)

Plan: Coming Together, Love it
- Wisdom teeth: I haz them. They are all at cool angles, but I haz them and they have not caused me any grief over the years, which is why I make so many great life and career choices - I have +4 Wisdom Teeth.
- Beer in my backyard: How about this, Enron - I will pick up the cost of your ticket to the beer bash, if you get a ZipCar, or other such nonsense, and drive it to my house? Do it!
- Beer in Santa Rosa and Petaluma - We should make a 2 or 3 day beer tour to Lagunitas and Russian River over the holiday break. We get a room in the middle somewhere (they are like 30 minutes, maybe, apart IIRC) and take day trips to each, drink, eat, drink, get merch, then back to the room for more drink (growlers of Pliny, anyone?) and gamez. Thoughts?
- Run For Your Lives - the zombie run in Temecula sold out for Saturday, but they have added Sunday! The family and I were planning on making a vacation out of it and going to Lego Land, seeing some family, etc. then we realized that Wylie will be in like 'real school' and you don't just take your kids out of real school for vacations, so we put the kibosh on that plan.
That being said, anyone in for a zombie run trek to Temecula on Oct 21? Maybe drive down on Friday or Saturday the day before, to Temecula on Sunday for the run, and either back to NorCal (or SoCal, if that's where you live I guess...) that day, or take Monday off and have a more leisurely drive up?

Pliers! Yeeeegh! Nice to get it over quickly, though.
Rude, you never know with Wisdom teeth. The wife also has all hers. Since she has an underbite they seem to be in there happily enough. I got mine all pulled at once in my early 20s (then taped them to the Earthdawn GM screen). Nasty business, I got lazy flushing out the cavities after a week or so and the smell was atrocious.
I love the random aside in Cryptonomicon where nobody will operate on the main char's wisdoms because the roots are in so deep they're snarled around parts of his brain.

I've never had my wisdom teeth out! Is that something EVERYONE has to eventually get done? I've been dreading it since I was a kid.
We went a bought a new refrigerator for the house we're moving into next week. I'm so used to living in either apartments or my parents house, I'm overwhelmed by all the furniture you have to come up with to furnish a decent sized house. We have a pool, so I'm stoked over that more than anything else.
In gaming news, the Summoner Wars app is due out any day now on iOS. It got submitted last week, so maybe Monday or so. I'm stoked that I'll be able to stomp Johnny after he left us hanging on Hero Academy! ;)
