Disarm Bush

FYI, there's a lot of anti-war protests going on this weekend all over the country. Here's a good site giving out information about it:
United For Peace.

I'm going to a march Saturday (tomorrow) that's very close to my work, (Martin Sheen's gonna be there) but I also know there is going to be something down in Santa Monica -Peace On The Beach (Slash is gonna be there! DOH.) I know we've got some PEACE PUNX here, so get involved! :)
Awesome website you made there Eric! I like the profiles alot - heh. :)

Good luck Jael! Sounds like bummer news d00d!

- Nothing better than Jon getting hired at this place and then not showing up on his first day, or showing up 4 hours late to his first shift then not showing up to his second. Something like that. Either way, funny.

- Rudy, I gots the book for you on learning HTML. I learned from it, and its a great starting point. I think its called Laura Lemay's HTML 4.0, or something. You can borrow mine and see if the HTMLing world is right for you.

- Here is the website for my work that I built the last two days. Check it out! I think the profiles section will change shortly, but I'm not sure....

- The NAF website rules, not so much the design, and some of the navigation is a bit convoluted, but the principle and the members really make it kick ass. Check it Johnny and Mike, and maybe even Bobby McOil Baron Killen.

So for the last 4 month we've been working on this Itanium Server Deal, and now HP can't deliver on the promised date because of some logistics and constrainment problem. Fuckin Fuckwads. Shits blowing through the roof. So, tonight I will get inebriated with 10 people in a hotel room, hopefully there will be some cute looking chicks.

This one struck a nerve (like that Bad Relgion song!)
Outrage Overload.

"Decision to Ask Out Girl Made Using 10-Sided Die"

Ah, genius! Anyway, yes, it's been a slow time for Blog-bot Oeterson lately. I've just been busy doing this or that such that the time necessary to get my blog on has seemed not worth it, especiall since I've basically just been watching a bunch of movies lately. Anyway, let's get cerackin with the reviews! I am going to type them as fast as possible without erasing anything. Keep in mind I'm on a teeny tiny keybpard.

Minority Report

This movie stars Tom Cruise as a guy who rides around in a space ship that like like Jago Fett's and whe nhe finds the bad guy, he jumps out of it with his buddies like in "Brazil" (which was about Brazil Younis). The way they know who's bad is, the precognizits tell them about it. But then they say Tom Cruise is bad and he's all, holy shit. So he goes on the run and then at the end... well, I won't say, but some crazy things happen. This was pretty good except the cinematography was really really blue everywhere. Apparently the light spectrum is different in the future or something. Also, there was something I couldn't put my finger on... it was like the movie was too "high-resolution" or something. The details were almost too fine. Maybe it was a result of CGI, but I could swear the effect was there even when there was no CGI. I liked the computers though. Overall, it gets like a, I don't know, B or something. Fine.

Office Space

Always a good one! Gotta watch the part where they beat the shit out of the printer five or six times, as usual!

Glengarry ross bill mike

I only watched the first half. I'd seen the whol emovie before, but I can't remember what happens. I remember that I wasn't very clear on what happened at the end. This is because my IQ is only 1000 unlik EDavid Mmaet whose is 10036.

The Guru

Pretty funny shit! Go see it if you have some time to spare and you feel like seeing the Guru. The guy who was the Indian (or whatever) guy in Office Space is in it, but he doesn't have a big part. I love that guy 'cause at certain angles, he really, really looks like Ranjit (my former roommate and love interest). (Who I don't think was circumsized by the way.)

Unfaithful

I didn't see this but my mom rented it. She said I wasn't old enough to watch it. Note: I am twenty-seven.

That's all, folks!

Review: Zaos @ Fillmore & California

So Aimey goes to Zaos at lunch with a few coworkers and gets a noodle dish w/ vegetables at this mid-range Pan-Asian style restaurant.AImey had frequented this place on several other occasions and had been quite pleased with the food. Well this time she is grinding away when she noticed a strange herb. No not the kind found in large cone shaped devices made of paper. After trying to identify it, she gave up and continued eating until she found something a bit too similar to our favorite parasitic companion, La Cocaracha. D'oh. Without saying a word she runs to the restroom and procedes to expell the offending meal. Returns to find her co-workers questioning stares. "Did we say something to offend?" Only thing she could get out was,"Please say that is not what I think it is!" Sure enough they concur. Waitress as well. Hmmm, maybe those herbs were not herbs after all, just plain old sauted legs. Stir fry cockroach. Eat it up while its hot. To make matters worse, Aimey started looking like shit. Her co-workers sent her home early about an hour after lunch. When I came home she looked terrible. Purple swelling under her eyes, red blotches on her skin all over her face and neck, plus burning/itchy eyes. Allergy reaction. D'oh. This all happened on Friday, and she is only now back to her normal self. Either she reacted to the cockroach or the pesticide the restaurant's exterminator was using. From what I understand Cockroaches generate quite an allergic response in most people that are sensative to dust mites. I guess the Fecal matter and saliva is quite hostile when airborne, let alone taken internally.

Semi-Monthly Cockroach Extermination Effectiveness: D-
Restaurant herb selection: B- (Points for creativity, Deductions for human incompatibilty)
Ryan's Waterpolo Story: B+ (Points for "Scoreboard" comment)
Kurt Vonegut Quote: B+ (Humor factor a plus!)

Sorry boyz. I have been busy ripping CDs in my spare time. Got side tracked. Well there is a chance that I may yet see broad band. I have not given up the fight in an effort to keep my sanity. After over a month without the internet and several weeks with very narrow band (~28kb/s), I need to make up for it by getting my hands on copious amounts of data transfer. Or something. More on that later. Math is hard.

Been reading more in that "Body of Secrets" book, and man is Rudy's Mom easy. Oh sorry, I mean the Joint Chiefs of Staff are a bunch of rat bastards. Those monkeys tried to get the CIA to commit terrorist acts upon Americans on US soil and to make it look like the Cubans were the aggressor, thereby increasing public approval of an overt invasion on Cuba in the 60's. Johnson was an idiot. The SR-71 is fast. American foreign policy is some aggressive shit. The Isrealis are dicks. Michael Anderson sleeps with, but only cuddles, little boys. Vietnam sucked. Etc, Etc, Etc....

Yeah so I saw another man bust out his urea cannon in the streets of SF. This time it was drunk idiot that just whipped it out in plain view on a street corner facing the intersection. Bizarro...

Oeterson: What's the lowdown on Jon Bean Town Peckerwood? Have an ETD?

Ja -el: We need to work on your magazine selection. At least maybe try reading Juggs or Slit. I mean where do you come of trying to imply that Vanity Fair is acceptable reading in these parts.

Elric Von Hassington: Workage? I hate getting up at 5:45am. Chopper suck ballz.

Futball: Keep away from the kiddies, they will only distract your studies. And no fair claiming that little Italian boys are ancient Roman, portable hotdog warmers. Keep all your appendages to yourself.

Rude Log: ANy new stories at the Studio? How is the weight loss program going?

(tumbleweeds...crickets, crickets...)

Yeah, come on people, post something! Sorry about the no bikes on Sunday Mr. Mannings, I kinda had a catch-up with crap/hang-with-the-woman weekend. No D&D on sunday, no bike riding on sunday.

On the upside, the NAF website has finally launched, which is good for those of us that are Blood Bowl coaches. Hooray! For $10 through PayPal, you get a membership which allows access the the forums, articles, etc on the site, and ID card or some such nonsense, and the best perk, black blocking dice! Neat! Also you can be ranked world-wide as a coach and blah blah blah.

I am happy about it anyway.....
