Okay...

SO I went and check out the Cliff Yablownski action. Oh my god that is some wacked shit. Where does this person come up with this stuff. Dear lord. SOme of it was so random and funny I could not believe it. Wild stuff.

Off to bed

that kid is from one of those CLIFF Yablownski (sp?) Hates You page from Something awful - along with that quote about Blood Gnome. It friggin killed me when I read it!

Props to Elric

Nice additions to the random action team banner images. BTW, who is that freaky kid by the christmas tree? ALso, I am in on the BB7 actionat Boobla Khan. Painting? Well I dont think that is going to happen, Im poor, have no paints or brushes, and wont really be able until early april for that type of free time. Maybe if I was able to get to LA where all my paint and brushes are.

I like green
Farmer Brown

I just realized what a dumbass i am. I've been paying 29.99 for 250 minutes when I could have 1000 minutes for 39.99. Retard. Last month my bill was 130... for overusage. I didn't realize I ran over that much. I'm changing plans.

Nice... I have a Lizardman team that is unpainted. I'm in! My name is Ready Freddy. I saw the rules for BB7, looks interesting enough and worth a shot. I'm down for that at the con.

Denis: I'll look for you at 10ish. If youre not there, we'll just play on the weekends. (nah... being stood up by chicks is not that bad.... meant that there WAS a chance... Score!)

Dan Brown

Skip Digital Fortress if you were so inclined. I enjoyed Da Da Vinci Code, and I am borrowing Angels and Devils right now, so I am all for Dan Brown, but just don't bother with teh fortress. It is tiresome, elementary, pedestrian, and well-suited to 12 year olds to read while on the toilet, but nothing more, IMHO.

Cliff Yablonski is a genious.

Denis has challenged me to a paint-off! He has PROMISED that his skaven BB team will be painted by Kublacon, and since he promised I matched him with a promise to paint the Pro Elf team. So there you have it. johnny? Enron? Care to join our little challenge and paint up some BB figures? I also have to deal with finishing the Crossfire N scale project, as well as re-addressing the Battle Cry Miniatures Project....

Also, I think it would be interesting to perhaps, and if nothing else, have a small BB 7's tournament at Kublacon. Any interested parties? BB 7's is smaller, quicker, and a blast (to play against myself, anyway). Any takers! Games last about an hour.

Heh heh, tonight...

Johnny: (better to be stood up by me than a woman) Forgiveness please, my definition of tonight is terribly schewed from the rest of the population. My tonights start around 10:00ish. That's usually when I get on the computer on weekdays. Weekends if I'm home, anytime. Soooo, if you can play starting around 10:00 and that's, I say that's in the P.M., then tomorrow or Friday I'm game. Otherwise we'll have to schedule it for sometime in the weekend.

Buks an reedin an lernin is for suckars alls i need is PORNO and my shotgun
Love the new banners! Also, welcome Dennis! Hope you guys play tonight, I wanna watch!

Nice insight on the flick and bible in general Enron. Believe it or not, it was da stupid da vinci code that got me thinking about that stuff! I'm like the biggest closet Dan Brown lover.

The next few days sounds good...

Hey dinesh, welcome aboard! =) Will you be on the ICQ tonight at around 7:30ish? I can meet you then.

Lost CDs

Has anyone else had this problem: Over the past five years or so I have found that a number of my CDs have gone missing. It is really infuriating. I have only in the past few months really started to notice what is missing since I have been trying to get my collection into mp3. Some albums I am really annoyed at and there are a few I dont really care about. SuXOr.

Im off to run errends
Stupid Insomnia strikes again

Pump: Visceral humor is par for the course here, three cheers to a brilliant entry.

Rude: Passion looks to be a bit of an oddity. Certain Christian organizations are condemning certain violent and sexual content on the air, yet promoting Passion. Example: "This week, the Rev. James Kennedy, of the Coral Ridge Ministries in Tampa, was on Fox TV drumming up letters from viewers to members of Congress and the FCC to rail against sex and violence on TV and radio. And then he segued to how great Mel Gibson's extremely violent -- and possibly pornographic -- movie, 'The Passion of the Christ,' is doing in theaters." Source. An even more important point to note about the anti-semetic tilt of the movie is that most of the current english versions of the bible are descendents of the bible translated in the 17th century by clerics trying to curry the favor of King James I, the first Stuart king and a man of uncertain temperament. A clip from an even better opinion article about religious fundamentalism in american and how it effects science research. Seeing that the bible was originally written in three languages (Greek, Aramaic, Hebrew), the many translations afterwards have slowly chaged its meaning, particularly since rulers sometimes had reign over the translators and would put their own political spin on it. Or translators would change the spirit of the document by making it more readable by the population. This was done since word for word translations tend to be a little awkward to read and certain words and phrases change in meaning and use in languages over time. Finally, the oldest know bibles are from the 4th or 5th centuries, add transcription errors and tranlator judgement over the first 4 to 5 centuries after the death of Jesus and you have a document subtly different than the orignal's intent. Think of it as a big game of telephone where instead of a media of a chain of electronic conversations bottlenecked by human memories penchant to summerize things, you have hand written documents with typos and potential politcal agendas. This is of course the best case scinario in which a tranlation would be made directly from these. Yet, as pointed out above, most current english versions of the bible are based on the King James I's version, cleaving the system exposed to even more noise leaks. How different is the intent and makeup of the 'good book' now?

Trust no one! Kill allllll the vampyres.

"My eyes, my eyes, their alien"

Gentlemen, salutations!

After tossing my cookies, Blogger has seen fit to let me in. How you'll come to rue this day. Oh yes...

To think of all the Blood Bowl love I've been missing. It breaks the heart.

Johnny: Let me know when you're free to play. The next few nights are actually good for me. Bring it!

The only Passion I would be interested in right now is fruit. Sweet sweet red juice running down my lacerated back. Painfully tart liquid stinging my open wounds... See aren't you guys already sorry you let me in?

PS

Oh man. After sitting thru The Passi on, I needed a laugh. So, I visited THEHUN.NET and masturbated. After that, I wanted to see if there were any new Jeff Ks over at SA. Man, alot of that site isnt very funny. No new jeffk. BUT, I hadn't seen those Cliff Yablonski pics in awhile. OH MAN. I just laughed outloud a few good times.

Start here:

http://somethingawful.com/cliff/ihateyou/page-260.htm

I dont know how recent these updates are - haven't been to this site in FOREVER.
Movie Review: Teh Pashun!

Well, I just finished watching M.G.'s The Passi on, and I must say I thought it was pretty awful. I always knew this was going to be a bad and worthless movie, but after seeing it, I discovered a ton of reasons why it sucked that I hadn't even thought of!

It was gory. NOT as bad as I thought it would be. I guess I'm just used to the sight of blood and torture and all those good things now. I really can't believe that churches PROMOTE this movie though! It really seems to emphasize violence way more than understanding and forgiveness and all the other things Mel Gibson lied about on that Diane Sawyer interview a few weeks back.

It's WAY anti-semetic. Yikes! Those jews come off as straight MONSTERS! While I was watching it, I would pause it and look through websites about the bible, and I guess most christians are behind blaming the jews and making Pilate look like an "awww shucks" good roman govena! I dunno, but there's something inside of me that makes me sceptical of the bible's/gibson's version of Pilate. Its ALL politics, then and now. I was reading one article that suggested that the gospels painted Pilate (or PP as I like to call him) in such favorable light inorder to not offend Rome when they came out.

The movie was just directed and photographed poorly. It looked BORING. And I swear half of the movie is in slo-motion. So many shots of blood dripping in slow motion. SHADUP ALREADY! Crap.

I wanna see the Last Temptation of Christ again. I remember liking it, but I can't remember much about it.

BTW, this reviewer watched a d/l'd version of the flick that was shot by a camcorder in a theater. It was weird - a few times thru the movie, you see a silhouette of some guys getting up to go to the bathroom or something. It looks like its part of the movie! Its just this shadow of a guy crouching down, walking across the scene! Also, I kinda missed the 1st and last words of the subtitles, cuz they were cutoff. BUT, in defense of watching the camcorder bootleg version, it added this strange, grainy, late 70's horror flick vibe to the movie! It was awesome! It reminded me of some of those fucked up 70's b-movie horror flicks theyd show on channel 5 when I was growing up. The movie gets points for that!

I'm flying thru Angels and Demons right now. Fuck, its the SAME fucking story as da Da Vinci Code! Oh man, if I had read this book 1st, then read da da vinci code, I'da felt SO ripped off! Its just tacky. Still, all the illuminati/vatican shit is sorta interesting and fun to read. :)

Anyone ever read Foucault's Pendulum by Umberto Eco? People have told me to read that if I liked conspiracy/history type o shit.

thanks for listening!

-Love, Ruby.

Fast Food Nation.

I thought it was a very good book. Sort of like the Jungle for our generation, albeit more documentary style and less fictional narrative. I still go to fast food restaurants, but less often than before. One thing that I thought was pretty cool, is the coverage of fast food restaurants that are atypical in the industry like In N Out. In N Out is much better fast food than other places.

Taco Hell is the worst, it is even worse than Mac-Donalds.

Jon, I worked at Left At Albequerque when I was living with Eric down in Irivine. Pretty good food, pretty shitty company to work for. It was so very corporate and everyone was so anal... made me realize why I hate working for the restaurant industry. They treat their employees like they are indispencible. I used to get royally screwed on a regular basis on tips. I would work my ass off and still end up with pennies because all of the favorite employees would be assigned all of the good sections and all of the good shifts.

Needless to say, I am boycotting all LAO restaurants. On a side note, I am reading Fast Food Nation albeit at a snail's pace. Truly, very eye opening. The corruption and drive to make a buck on the stupidity and ignorance of the consumer is astounding. Doesn't keep me from my Taco Bell, though... nothing will.
Awesome.

Ja -eL: Good news, it's a suppository. I mean that is great to hear.

Eric: I think this convention (Kubla) will see the return of Garlatory or supparlic. AKA Garlic nibblers. How much are apothecaries? I am afraid to select 'buy' and find out it is too much AND I wont be able to change my decision. It doesnt say on the overview page what the cost is like the other purchases. What do you think of the recent acquistions by the Kings? Anson Carter seems like a good pick up. I dont know much about the prospect we traded away. Cowen for Brennan? How has Dempsey looked on ice so far? Sigh.... I wish Kings games were on TV here.

Jon: I have been to a left at Albuquerue up here before. I wonder if they are affiliated. I was less than impressed with them. Slow service and over priced. Didn't you know I was running for public office?

Gnarly Ghhhha-Rilla
I got me a date! hooyah...

Thanks Aaron for the Ad-vice, it all worked out.

So I saw Starsky and Hutch... and it was great! I liked it at least, (sorry big jon)! Maybe because I never saw the original show or maybe just because I liked it. The cast was great, quite a few were from the cast of Old School, for example, Will Ferrell, Vince Vaughn, Juliette lewis aka "gang bang", and special appearances by snoop and carmen elec. I'm not a huge fan of that slut, carmen, but in that chearleader uniform, carmen looked mighty delicious. The acting was a bit poor but I can think of some movies out there are much much much worse. The huggy bear shit could be cut out of the movie.

yeeba yeba yeba, dats all folks!
Enron-Halliburton '04

1. That was a bumper sticker I saw today. Made me laugh.
2. I went up to Santa Barbara this weekend. I'd never been there before when school was in session and tons of students were wandering about. UCSB college girls are smoking, but only moderately so. I think they drink too much. I don't know. They'd probably throw up on your cock while sucking it.
2a. I had the best pork sandwich evar at this place called "Left Turn at Albuquerque." Cheesy name, cheesy decor, but man... that was good pork.
2b. I'm also ashamed to say that we saw "Starsky & Hutch." It was hot, we didn't want to leave yet, my brain was half-melted. There were four or five good laughs in it, with the rest being pretty bad, but watchable. Will Ferrell was pretty good. He needs to make more movies besides ones about elves.
3. I've been playing lots of "Prince of Persia 4" lately. It's awesome! It's short enough to be beatable in a reasonable amount of time! I highly recommend it.

BBL..

I think both Rude and I learned a good deal that game. A lot of bad choices and too many big risks. A lot of fun though. It was a pretty wide open game. And so I have won my first game EvAR.

Three cheers to our soon to be newest member of the Action "Jackson" team... Denish.

Rock On
Good Game

I got pretty owned. Not only did i make some uber-stupid mistakes, like not noticing my ball carrier was right next to an oppentent and moving/fumbling/etc, Enron did really good, and ya, our teams were WAY too matched up. The blockers vs the dodgers. And his dodging PWNED!

GG
Blood Bowl, blog pertaining to

Smoking Tacos 1 - Weapons of Mass Corruption 0
(watch it here, if you have Javabowl installed!)
It was an interesting game, with poor luck defining most of the match. The norse and amazons make for quite a paring, one with block across the board, the other with dodge across the board.

I am going to to invite Denis to join theactionteam.org so he can stay in the loop and maybe organize his games better.

GG guys!

Maybe tonight would be good, for us to play some BLOWD BWOEL!

Any of you guys see the Dave Chapell Show DVD? It's really really really funny. You should check it out if you like the laughs. As funny as The Passion and Starsky & Hutch were. Good stuff.
