Rood, didn't Elzar tell you? He needed to call you about some unrelated topic and offered to pass along that we had to cancel the Thursday night rooms at the hotel. They overbooked so we won't have a room until Friday. Don't worry though, we will totally call you on Friday when we get there. I think we plan on getting there somewhere about 8 or 9 pm. I did put your name on the room reservation for Friday so here is a copy of the reservation info. You'll need it to check in unless you want to wait until 9pm. It's cool, just put it on your credit card. We will totally be there to pay you back... In spirit. But totally we will.
On the upside, Motobyke Hunt, the special lady friends and I will be going to Indy and the Fucking Alien Spielbergo-Ewok Skull at 2pm this afternoon. We will let you all know what we think.
I am totally pumped for this Con. I love me some gamin', Drinking, bad eating and farting debauchery and not necessarily in that order. Ahhhhh yeah!
BUZZ CAWKS!

I'm having doubts about my burgertowngeoning gaming career. I got home last night and was too fucking tired to watch my Netflix movies (I have Cloverfield and 30 Days of Nights atm) so if I can't even accomplish that, how the fuck is a guy supposed to create groundbreaking new games at a rate of 1-3 a day? It's daunting... I dunno guys.
CON TONIGHT!!! I arrive around 7ish and then I'll go to the hotel I guess. Enron, email/txt/phone me the room numbers or some kind of information when you have it so I'm not stuck for 4 days sitting in the lobby poopsocking it while you guys enjoy the rooms. Then watch Eric still ask me for room money while I'm lying in a pool of my own blood, piss, and vomit near the pool of the wrong hotel. Thanks Eric!

I am REALLY excited for this con. I have been working weekends every week for two months now and a break for large beers, games, and copious farting sounds really good!
I will be down there at some point on Friday night.
Just looking at pictures like this has me super fired up!!!!!

So have you game designing doosh-bags looked at that new Microsoft/Xbox thing the XNA club? It's like tools n shit to make games for Windows (for free) or Xbox 360 (for a yearly fee) then they get voted on and can make it into the marketplace for anyone to buy. So I just signed up for it, I'll probably start making some games tonight when I get home. If you guys think of any good ideas let me know. I'll probably invent a new genre I'm thinking a 4-D shooter or something like that. I'm thinking maybe I'll make like a game a day till I find the perfect one.

Elzar the Gozarian: That is a good idea. I think between you and Jon we will have enough coffee for the weekend. Ill chip in a few bucks to the coffee fund. I will even bring tea for you fuckers... So I can Teabag you whilst you sleep! Yes! Also, I have not seen Star Wars: Queens Gambit.
jr0n: I have heard similar comments about the new Indy movie. Given all that has transpired with Lucas's bat-shit crazy megalomania in the past decade, I should say this could have been a lot worse. Of course, we shall see this Thursday.
There is a remote chance DaveDefeat will be at the convention Thursday and Friday, returning to LA Friday late or Saturday early. I still can't believe that he has to work at the Poop on Saturday, Sunday and Monday. The owner told my father that David was by far the most responsible employee he has. Oh dear, that is scary.
Rood: I liked the Good Shepard, but it is definitely on the drier side. Not the kind of movie I would go out of my way to watch a second time around but a good story none the less.
I watched the Indy movies this weekend, and I have to say that my perceptions of the movies have definitely changed. After not watching it for many years, my distaste for Temple of Doom has changed significantly in a positive direction. Perhaps this can be attributed to the fact that I am mostly over the casting of Speilbergo's wife as a main character. I seem to have encapsulated my annoyance at the character and view the rest of the movie in a revised perspective unweighted by this burden. On the other hand, the sort of silly slap stick humor that comes and goes throughout all of the movies seems strike me as a bit juvenile at times. Just a little something that didn't bother me as a kid. Not that I don't think the movies are great, just not as high up on the pedestal as before. Still movies worth owning and viewing again from time to time.

Yeah, that's a great fucking parody, thanks Jon. I always have flash-block running, but I still see the title and feel duped! Darn you to fucking hell.
Any of you guys gonna get AGE OF CONAN!? I don't think my PC can run it, and the $1000 dollars itd take for a new internet-viewing/pc-machine just isn't worth it. Oh well. It probably sucks anyways.

Fantastic idea Aeryk! I will make sure to bring some of Arabia's finest. I will bring enough for whatever other douchebags want some of my coffee.
Yeah George Lucas is crazy. The early reviews I'm reading of the movie aren't too bad. A common theme seems to be: pick your least favorite Indiana Jones movie. You will probably like this new one better than that one. Which I can totally live with.
Glad you liked There Will Be Blood! I liked how crazy it got at the end with the guy firing guns inside his house, etc.. There's a (pretty funny, actually) parody here.

I think I will be bringing a cheap-o Target coffee maker to the con and a bag of coffee and filters. It will be sweet to fill up my huge Thermos throughout the day and enjoy cheap and delicious coffee!
Just a heads up so if you want some, bring some of your favorite bags of coffee and we can avoid the $4 cups at the hotel!

RE: Crazy Indy shit. The only channel I get with decent reception is ABC 7, so on the weekends I wake up to their weird Disney kids shows; Hannah Montana, That's So Raven, etc. Anyways, I caught this fucked up commercial for an Indiana Jones Sound FX Whip. Some fat kid in an Indy outfit is going around using this 2 foot long whip that at the end of the commercial literally looks like a cross between a big brown cock and the slimiest runny turd you've ever seen. I was in that strange place somewhere between sleep and waking and I'm watching this dump truck of a kid in an indy hat whip this thing around while it made this horrible whip-sound. Good shit. And it's made by HASBRO! See, everything comes together in the end.
Just finished There Will Be Blood. It was good! Don't think I really need to see it again, but definitely an interesting film. Daniel Day Lewis is an incredible actor. The one thing that totally fucked with me and threw me off though was I could have SWORN that Joaquine Phoenix was in it! I was totally confused! I thought he played his son AND turned into a preacher. Not only did I have the wrong actor, the character I imagined didn't even exist. What a nutty movie though. Very good.
