Deadwood!

That's my other new favorite show of all times with BSG and Curb yer Enthusiasm. Ran through the first season in 2 days and wish I had cable to watch all the episodes that came out since. Most memorable exchange from Season 1:

WILD BILL: Sure you want to quit, Jack? The game's all that's between you and getting called a cunt.

BARMAN: Meeting adjourned, fellas - take it outside.

WILD BILL: That droop eye of yours looks like the hood on a cunt to me, Jack. When you talk your mouth looks like a cunt moving.

JACK: I ain't gonna get in no gunfight with you Hickok.

WILD BILL: But you will run your cunt mouth at me. And I will take it - to play poker.

OMG it's such a good show haha. First two episodes were kinda "eh" for me, but then I really got into it and by the end of the season I was SO fuckin' hooked. Love it!

Man-e-cunt-mouthes

So, that is a quick shot of the Destroyer. I think it turned out better than the other warjackass, whatever his name is. Seriously, 2, maybe 2.5 hours total paint/dry time. That does not include figuring out the airbrush for the first time.
I think some of my best material has come from when I am tired too. First of all, your filters about what is funny/not funny and appropriate/not appropriate are not quite working. Also, everybody else is tired too so they are more susceptible to thinking your crazy bullshit is humorous. Therefore, Carrot Head at midnight = top genius!

I had fun going to a couple of Kings games. I think that makes me like the 20th biggest fan of hockey in the US? Enron I still say we should Shrek out (as Rudy might say) the Sharks sometime. We will kick the glass with our boots and have us a good old time.

Hey AEryk I would like to see pix of your newly airbrushed robuts. Enron: we getting together tomorrow again? How's about we make a run to the game store for some paints n' shit?

I was in the middle of a deep, REM sleep (dream: I was a blonde, curly-haired '70s guy in prehistoric times telling a girl, "Baby, I'm from the future") when the doorbell rang and woke me up. Consequently I have a huge headache that I cannot shake. Yeargh!

Sleep Deprivation

Why is it that more insane laughter and sacrilege has been had at the hands of sleep deprivation by us? Man that was funny shit. I just don’t know if I can pee with Jebuz watching me.

The Lord

Also, don't forget that in Art's house, Jesus will protect you as you urinate. He did for me and I am a new man!
I do forget...

I now have a friend in Vegas. Sometimes I still think you are in Warshington.

D>M>
Vegas, baby.

Don't even worry about a place to stay. I'll hook you up with a roomie-room no problem.
Eat Eggs

My reaction to that quote was pretty much the same when I ran across it. Brutal. I guess the re-branding and redefining of the entire presentation of pro hockey can only get better than it was. A putrid stench of death lingered on the state of hockey before, only most people hadn't noticed because the league and ESPN would annually spraying it with some Lysol and call the NHL the new lemony scented NHL. I think this will all be for the best. A correction if you will. I just hope I have OLN at home. Now if only Bettman would quit, the second part of the prophecy would be fulfilled. Good riddance to Goodenow (Part One).

I would love to go to a Kings game, but I think one in Vegas is not going to happen for me. I just can not see that happening financially (Flight + Hotel + Tickets) right now. I think a Kings game in mid-fall down in LA is much more realistic. At least that does not entail a hotel room. And as a bonus I get to visit my family, which I have not seen since mid-April. Next time I am setting up a trip to LA I do want to go to a Kings game. I will give you heads up and we can coordinate a game. I miss that.

Jon: Sweet action with the Jobby Job. Not working is the SuX-z0R.

Gotta get my booty back to work
Why I Love Hockey

Why ESPN didn't pickup the NHL TV contract: In the NHL's place, ESPN filled the air with original programming, like "Bowling Night" and "Stump The Schwab." Programs like these drew ratings that were at least comparable to the number of people watching NHL games.

Ouch.

However, I think OLN is probably one of the best moves the NHL could make right now. Only 63million homes get OLN, compared to 90million for ESPN and 89million for the Deuce, which is bad, but I think since OLN is trying to be a competitor with ESPN, they will be eager to make a name for themselves and really support hockey like ESPN refused to. I think there will be more diverse games to watch, and less Detroit vs. Colorado vs. New Jersey vs. Dallas games. Not to mention I am sick as all fuck of Gary Thorne and Bill Clement. Sadly, I don't know where that leaves Barry Melrose or Buccigrass. I think OLN should hire Bucci, Melrose and Don Cherry and give them their own NHL tonight show that is at least an hour long everynight of the week, maybe 2 on weekends, and them them be themselves on air. I think it would be a tremendous show to watch. Lots of insight and lots of entertainment!

I am strangely excited about this "step down". I think it always darkest before the dawn.
"I'm Ryan, and I'm a nerd."

Ryan has been sitting the fence on nerdliness for some time now, occasionally taking a jaunt to the Dark Side for some Blood Bowl or Memoir '44 here and there, but last night he made the transition official: he played a chit wargame with me from start to finish and had a good time and would like to play again. He used tweezers and everything! I think we might play again today. Welcome, Ryan.

Other news: Camping was a blast, surfing was fun except for the epic 1/4 mile vert hike to and fro the beach. And the campers to the north that thought I would be a good idea to actually set their tent up in our site. And the campers to the south who thought it would be a good idea to get drunk and talk about anal sex and how they don't get it anymore, while their kids played around them. Good times.

- Why I feel more like 30 than 29: I threw out my shoulder playing dodgeball, I twisted my ankle three weeks ago playing dodgeball and it still hurts, I am seeing a chiropractor about my back (incidentally, at first my back was only operating at about 38% of the way it should be, now that I am 30 and have been recieving treatment, it is up to about 75%, so take that age!), I would rather chit wargame than roleplay (though I think that is just a cyclical phase), and I am interested in ancients wargaming. There are other reasons, but those strike me this moring.

- 2 of my warjacks are painted, and they each took me about 2 hours to paint. Using an airbrush is SO GREAT. However, that means that I was distracted from pulling my weight on the DBA front. I still have 2 days to paint the remaining 8 units, but I think that might not happen.

- Battlestar Galactica is awesome. So good. New season of Arrested Development Septeber 14th I think. Rugby on the Fox Soccer Channel at 11pm is pretty good too.

- HP6 was a good read (finally), interested to see if the next one is actually no longer set in Hogwarts. Only 5 more years til we find out!

- If anyone (READ: Aaron) wants to go to Vegas over the September 24th weekend and see the Kings take on the newer, weaker Colorado Assalanche in Frozen Fury, give me a ring. I am buying the tickets shortly, so give me a hollar, hollar.

- See The Dave Chappelle Show, Season Two, Disk One. Everyone needs to see the True Hollywood Stories with Charlie Murphy. Everybody. Make it happen.
Hockey on... OLN?

WTF, Mate? The Outdoor Life Network? Man. I dont even know if I get that station up here. SO much for Hockey night on ESPN. And so the league continues to morph and change for better or for worse in so many ways. Elzar, what is your take on this? I am both very excited and nervous about the new face of Hockey. Will it head in the right direction? In so many ways it seems to be with the Salary Cap and some of the new rules designed to generate offense, or as Barry says it Oaf-fense.

Back to work.

Soon, Eric, I will join you in the world of 30 :,,,(

Happy B-Day man! Hope it was a good one and lots of surfing ensued.

I started a new job today. Unfortunately, it's about the same commute length as Leapfrog, so it's kinda brutal. I'm hoping to save up for a cheap-arse car. In the meantime I'm bringing my laptop and trying to have plenty of things to do to keep busy during the ride.

Everybody should read post 3 and post 5 of this thread. Trust me.
Dear Lord.

Ass prices have reached to just shy of $3.00 a gallon in the city. WTF, mate? I am so glad that I average about 50 miles a week now. That is still $7.50 a week in gas alone. Whores! It costs me 45-50 to fill up my tank. Jebuz.

In other news I have my DSL back. Well, since mid-weekend. Go go gadget phone companies. Yeah well, we say we will have it in a week, but.... We dont really feel like following through on that. We are like "Le Tired".

Seriously. Eric, I am sorry I was not able to make it to the B-Day bash. With the move and all the other shiite occurring around me I just could not swing it. It was good to hear that you had a good time. Hopefully I will be down that way in the near future.

My Apartment is very nearly finished. In fact Johnny, Jon and I had a cool little gaming action followed by a dinner with Janis, Aimey, Francis (A friend from up here) . Highlight of the eve: Johnny gave Jon and I sweet wooden grog mugs. Three cheers to seeing Ja-El again. Boo to going back to the Philippines again. He says he will not be back until December, missing GenCon SoCal.I also got a chance to throw down some warmachine with j0nZ0. Cool game. I like the mechanics. I would like to play with terrain and have a little more strategmizin'.

Art-a-fart-a-choke: I am game for the weekend of the 16th in October. Any hanging out action sounds good to me. We can tool about the city, drink, and be merry. Just give me a heads up once you have firmed up some of your plans.

Rude: Sweet animated gif files.

Mike Hunt: How are you doing? Still alive? Dig up any sweet corpses?
