| doctor says I need a backeotomy

Can't wait to hear your gripping tales of island passion!

So last week Enron helped me buy a TV.

Me: I want to buy a TV.
Enron: I did three hours of research at work and I think you should buy this one.
Me: OK.
Enron: Now let's watch Mythbusters clips on YouTube.
Me: OK.

It got here yesterday and it is amazing. It's a 42" plasma, which really did not look all that big in the store, but now that it is here in my apartment, looks completely mammoth. If it were 1" bigger it would be too large. It also makes the living room about 2 degrees warmer, which is a plus. I haven't played too many games on it yet, but I did fire up Bioshock for about an hour and it looks ridiculously incredible. The TV has very nice sound too. So thanks again for that Enron.

I also played Rock Band for the first time in about three months and my skills have dropped WAY off. I am terrible now. After the first couple botches I thought it was the calibration, so I recalibrated the game. I actually just got worse after that.

In other news:
- I seem to have hurt my back setting up the TV. Fortunately the way to recuperate is by spending my time lying down and watching the same TV. Self-correcting problem!

- I'm finally playing my copy of Chrono Trigger on the DS and it's so fun. I think this is probably the best JRPG that exists. It's charming, short, it has satisfyingly tough fights without requiring any grinding and it's generally low-bullshit. If you haven't tried it, give it a shot!

- I am so, so close to finally finishing the first draft of a script that I've been working on for about four months. Maybe about a week of work. I'm excited about it.

- After extensive discussion with Enron, the new proposed time for either Man-Con, or a one-day Assault on Aptos, is sometime Labor Day Weekend (which is 9/4-9/7 this year). All in favor?

| A-Hola

My internet has not worked at my new place yet, so I bit the bullet and paid the $3.99 at a Starbuck's hotspot. I may call you later Eric and see if you can walk me through connecting. It says the signal is strong, but when my computer tries to connect, it says "out of range." I fear it has something to do with a firewall or some shit.

So far, so good over here. I surfed twice already and have had many misadventures. If I didn't have to pay some bills online right now, I would be giving details on said misadventures. As it is, I have to drop some dough online stylie.

More to come...

| 2-1

And the win goes to the Dino Dudesss! It was a good long game and we both got our asses owned by the dice. I killed one of Johnny's dudes early in the first half randomly and then there was a fair amount of KO's and serious injuries. But it was tough all around and I barely pulled out the tie breaker at the start of turn 16. Lucked out with the final kick-off event so Johnny didn't get a chance to hurt my dudes :)

yeah! on turn 2, one of rudys skinks was already visiting the bleachers courtesy of a Ork blitzer, and would be missing the game as the wild fans pounded him into Badly hurt territory.

My handoff to the endzone failed on a 3 or better roll, meaning a 33% failure, and lo and behold it fails. Even after a reroll. That's just lame, for the Orks that is.

Anyway, earlier I set the multisampling to 2 and turned on a whole bunch of add-ons. By addons I mean, TRULY sophisticated add-ons like sound and cinematics. The crash was probably caused by the fancy new(b) style state of art programming, the speed and graphics bogged down ALOT and the app just crashed.

Cyanide! get it the fuck right! Just so typical GW games Outsourcing. Hire a company with people out of the diapers PLEASE! 10000 Monkeys on a computer coulda coded it better

Me and Johnny tried to play our game tonight and 2 minutes in Johnny realized he had to take his brother to LAX tonight in like 10 minutes! So we said, let's jam through it! Johnny's orks got the kick off and were working their way down the field. I think we got to turn 4 when he tried and failed a hand-off that might have gotten him a score near the endzone. So then the turnover goes to me and I had 4 sidesteppin' skinks down there ready to pick it up and run it home... but Johnny pulled the plug on his computer... or the app crashed and he needed to leave anyways. It gave me some SPP but it looks like we can play again because it's still showing ?-? for the score.. so that mean it ain't over?
