That's awesome you're gonna cook some gnarly meal. Me and the lady friend try big crazy meals every weekend and its totally fun. Last night was this epic Indian meal and this morning I made biscuits from scratch! Cookings fun. Making wontons and then wonton soup is totally not as hard as you'd think (and pretty yummy.)

Jon: In ME2 you can watch strippers like the first one and its just this weird "lean forward" option and like you can tip. But the akward part is the other 2 people in your team are just standing there in the background waiting... hahahah, it looks so sleazy!

Hi mike!

| Confirmation!

With Dr. Motorbyke's assent, we are officially on for "Rat Catcher Saturday!" (A single tear rolls down Ja-El's cheek at the thought of role-playing....)

We should dig up another fun multi-player game to play when the dice rolling is done... maybe I could borrow Runewars from Matt? Aeryk, any new hotness? (Edit: Maybe some Battlestar Galactica? 4 Cylons FTW!)

I'm going to make some french onion soup today that I am 95% sure will be completely bad-ass. I saw it on America's Test Kitchen and it involves like four hours of effort and a process called "triple de-glazing."

| Funny Funny Dr. Jones!

Glad to hear I'm not the only one still playing that game...so....good! Which one are you running? So, Elrock, thanks for the WOW invite, and sorry I couldn't act on it right away. Do I need to purchase a particular version of the game first or should we resolve that on WarHammer Sunday?

Greetings to All the rest of the Action Team as well on this fine Friday, when I can't believe I'm still sitting at my desk working instead of, well, sitting at my desk working... at home. Hope all is good with you all.

| Buttercup

So I had my Close Combat CD here at work and threw it in the drive to install for some outside chance of lunchtime session one of these days, and discovered that sharing my CD drive with the CC CD in it, you get a funny looking picture of the Windows Share Hand giving a buttercup to the tough as nails GI icon from CC. I thought it was funny.

I played the 5 min intro, totally awesome, then it froze... I hear it's pretty buggy. Maybe by the time you get it, things will be patched up. But seems alright. Looks pretty darn good. I hated that racist chick too and i SHOULD have killed her but I thought I could have space sex with the alien and the racist. Totally robbed.

| Joining the Joyride

Finally got set up on Twitter and Twatted all you fools (the ones I know anyway).

I'm sick, for the second time in three weeks, so I've been missing the last couple days of work. I've burned through pretty much all my sick days in the first month of the year. Off to a good start!

How is ME2, Rude? I'm not getting it for another few weeks so I'm giving the first game another playthrough. Featuring the adventures of Omar Little Shepard, straight gangster and space homosexual. Admittedly there are no gay male options in the first game so out of frustration, he's going to hook up with the racist white woman and then send her off to get blown up.

It's a good game.

| software etc (meeeerkoooo)

I built my first PC from scratch last night! What a weird thing to do. I did a little research and tried to put together a new machine that would allow me a couple of years of freshness at a decent price with room for upgrades. My current PC was on it's last leg so here's what I got, all from New Egg:

CASE: CoolerMaster|RC-310-BWN1-GP BK RT
MoBo: GIGABYTE GA-P55M-UD2 P55 RT
GPU: HD5750 1G
PSU: CORSAIR|CMPSU-550VX 550W RT
CPU: INTEL|CORE I5 750 2.66G R
MEM: 4gb DDR3
HDD: 500G|SAMSUNG Spinpoint
OS: WIN HOME PREM 7 64-BIT
CPU COOLER CM
DVD BURNER LITE-ON

I did most of the building outside of the case and attaching the cooling stuff to the CPU was probably the hardest/scariest part (thermal grease, ugh). Other than that, some of the tiny connections for the front panel of the case were weird, but luckily the mobo had a good manual and it wasn't too complicated. A little freaked out about the first boot thinking I'd have to mess with the BIOS but I didn't change anything and I loaded Win 7 fine. I'm going to still poke around to make sure I'm not gimping myself on anything, but supposedly the Intel i5 will overclock itself as needed, but I'll run some programs tonight to get up to speed. Also need to swing by Frys and grab some USB card/hub because everything uses them now and I'm in desperate need of more.

It was fun! Having to buy and research each piece of equipment really made me appreciate how these things are put together and work. Really demystifies things. I took way too long because I was being overly cautious but Win 7 looks like it will be fun to mess with. I hear it's much better and efficient than Vista.

Shepard...
Rental copy of Mass Effect 2 arrived last night but didn't crack it open because I was busy with PC. One bummer I'll need to rectify is, if you had transfered Mass Effect 1 saves to a new HDD (which I did when I upgraded my 360's drive) it doesnt transfer whatever is needed to carry over your save to ME2. BUT, I guess you can load an later save and play till the end and it will then show up in the new game. Or something!
