Ice cream, cake, lottery tickets, and Guinness

Bahahaha. That's some funny shit. You should [segue] write a song about it![/segue]

Signed up for a room this MONDAY, and if the recording gawds are kind, we can record a couple of real quick albums! Odds seem good this time, BUT I'll still need to call down there on monday to confirm. Can you guys do it? PLEAZE!

See you in DA PIT!
Brother of the Year

So last night me and Jordan went to Ziskin's place on account of we wanted to watch Return of the Jedi on Matt's new secondhand laserdisc player. Matt's parents were out of town. As soon as Kris (Matt's little brother, 18 or so) saw us, he started begging and pleading with us to leave because his girlfriend was coming over. We were in a cock-blocking kind of mood so we said no. He offered us fifty bucks to get out and we laughed at him. Then he offered us a hundred dollars and we stopped laughing. After sweating him for about an hour, we took it and left. I've never shaken anyone down before, it was an interesting experience and I recommend it to everyone.

We spent the money on ice cream, cake, lottery tickets, and Guinness, and we saved the receipt to give to him.

:p

Hehe... 4 radio listeners at te SAME time right now.
WOW
Cool songs so far ElfRock! Maybe a little Alkaline Trio heavy, but otherwise, lots of cool surprises (was just thinking about FUCKING HOSTILE when it came on teh radoo!)

Let's get the friggin' band back together! Oon Oetersen, get to work on those wacky lymrocks, and the rest brush up on your finger-tapping. Just like Oon had said the best shit he writes is when he doenst try rto hard, thats we what gotta do! NOW GET TO PRACTACING ASSHOLES!

:D
WHAT!? Theyre Screwed Up! They'd rather make $2000 dollars than let some superstars play for $0? Talk about retards! Ha!
Last free CD I give them or will give. Take that Radio Station!

So um... that's fine, whenever I drop in town then. :_-(

I'm so frickin phat now. Gotta hit the gym so I'm not so outa shape. Although technically I'm in perfect shape, a more spherical one, just I guess the wrong kind of shape. Oh, for those that aren't so genetically gifted as I am, they have successfully "grown" a test tube Penis. Just thought I'd share some interesting scientific journal news randomly. I know Oon was real concerned when he found out his book of facts was in error and that the Danish actually had smaller average testes than Asians.

Jael
Unfortunately, I can never really "book" a studio for free. If they have a chance of making $2000, or letting me use the room for $0 dollars, they're gonna book it. Just like today, there was a chance we could have done it, but theres already a session going on in there. :( Next time you come down for a weekend, we can try real hard, but no guarantees. :(
ROOODY ROODY

there's no way of defining a smaller time frame? I can't just drive down on a snap of a finger or a whim!!! I want be there too! Even a couple days in advance would suffice. So u think u can get the room on monday? or next friday?

Was listening to our cover song. pretty sweet

Boo

Shitty session from yesterday is going on again today (or as we in the biz call it: continueing) so NO studio for us. :(
BUT, gives us time to create the next Creed power-ballad! Get to writing fellos, and I will try for a room next monday or friday or next weekend (my nights off.) Take care and see yoyu in da pit!

Yeah. Re: ATRadio, 40kbs is still to shitty for me @ home, but at work its perfect. I got shitty modem on AOL, so theres no real other way around it- whatever you guys wanna do is cool! :D

Muzak!

I have had no problems with the 40kbs rate. Then again I only had a few hiccups at 96kbs.

Bortz
[punk emo metal some hi(p-hop and you don't stop and acid jazz to boot)]

...is actually what the server description says, but apparently its truncated on SHOUTcast, one of a million other things to change. Any problems with the stream anyone? Is 40 okay? The next lowest mark would be to take out the stereo, so tell me if it needs it.

It's kinda kewl that when there are only 2 or 3 listeners on the station, we still often pop-up on the first page of the SHOUTcast "punk" search page, eh?

As far as Che Rudy is concerned, I have pictures somewhere, but if you can send me a .jpg, it's more likely that I'll do something about it rather than finding one of yours somewhere, scanning it, etc....
[punk emo metal some hi]

Coolness! Well, I let you all know when we can get in the studio! It'll be fun... Hey Elmrick, you got any pictures of me? I'm waaay sick of my nike-che avatar, and I would rather have a cool photo like the rest of the gang. plz thx

/me puts on his favorite "some hi" cd... hehe ;)
i am tuned... why don't we just call ourselves "the action team"? Or 2D6? I dunno... humanity point is still pretty good. Meh.
Sounds Like It's Gonna Be A Regular Nut-Rally

Thanks for the b-day wishes Oon! Well, looks like the band is made.
World- H353 is Humanity Points! (We can put the letter "H" backwards like Korn does.)

Ry- Drum Biatch
Elrik - Guit/Bass
Oon - VoCal (rights!) / B ass
Jael - Rythmn Guitar (even though he'll be fuckin 300 miles away- HA)
R. Mannington- The Mastermind/King of the Nut-Rally/ Maybe some guitars
Bortz- Fluffer (oh wait- if he aint in San Fran! JUST KIDDING DUDE- OMG, LOVE YA!)

Well, shit- I can start bugging work (rymes with jerk) for a room SOON if you guys want. It'd be cool if you guys at least on your own (or together) wrote up some tuneage. Wouldn't do vo-cals (you're cuck is huge) the same night- just wanna track TONS of short and sweet songs. Or whatever. :) Ry- tune your drums! :D
nice touch for september 11th.

I thought that the ribbon is a good sentiment on such a somber day. Anyway... Johnny, Pun Crocks has been done. And Rudy, I am TOTALLY down to play drums for whoever, whenever, especially in the studio. I love recording. I am down... I'll bet you we can bust some old favorites and some new jammy jams, and it would be sooo much better than when we did it in my garage, reocrded on my sister's boom box. Let me know when and where. I will be there. Your local drum slut, ry.

DEDICATED SERVER!!!

Pun Crock: I think that's a great name Pun Crocks!

Also remember to add in the buzz words "hate music" "devil hate" as we know that should increase the traffic 200 fold. JUST KIDDING!!! I no longer think that punk rock is hate music. Eric does play some songs that are more to the Heavy metal side which is still a little dark...

I like the name Humanity Point but I like Pun Crocks more!

ok... my value in this whole thing? Not only am I an awesome rythm guitarist but I am also a Server Specialist!!! In about 3 weeks I should be getting my A+ server certification and then I can get us a discounted server, or even mooch a demo unit and we'll have a dedicated 2-4 way server!!! yeeha!

The Action Team Radio now has 3 listeners!!! or How We Became Humanity Point
It's true! I changed the description to use more "buzzwords" and did a search for punk on SHOUTcast, and there we were! Shit! Gotta get serious about it now! Need a dedicated server.....

Banned Names: I think we found a winner in "Humanity Point". Done. We are Humanity Point.

As far as Ryan is concerned, yeah, he is still Mr. Drummond. He plays with RR and on the side seems to be a session guy too.
Band Names
Hmmm... How about "Local Rights." Hmmm... no.
"Sorority Hazing Gone Wrong" - I like that one.
"8/11" - Sorry, mark up a humanity point for me!

Seriously- You clowns ought to get together soon and make some songs to record in the studio. Dude- what in the fuck is up with RY??? Is he still drummond?
I can write all my parts in the studio ;)

YEAH! Soon... Its a *little* busy these days, but I'll sneak us in there soon! l8r sk8r!

I am ready to r0x0r!!!

You know me, I'm always into some tuneage. I got the big ass Blue Voodoo and Les Paul just taking up space in my house, might as well put them to some use!!!! Who knows, maybe something neat will come from it all - "Puppet Girl" anyone? We should combine drinkin' and studio time into one beast and drink at the studio! It's sure to generate many "Fuck the Kids" songs! Now, on to the important stuff: what to call ourselves! We need to know that so we can get right on the website, merchandise, etc....

Happy birthday to [blam]

Nice work on the radio guys! Haven't had a chance to listen to it yet since I get to be on the Internet for about 25 minutes at night over a modem, but I'll get the scoop next time I'm at Eric's. Maybe I can mix my Uncle Tupelo, Yo La Tengo, and Bob Dylan in amongst the Napalm Death hate music. Nice work. Happy belated birthday Rudy! I mailed you some sleeping pills and a guillotine. Music-wise, I'm willing to break out the axe one of these days, but I haven't played in over a year so I'm pretty damn rusty. You would need to give me plenty of time to finish each refrain as I get very testy when I'm not allowed to.

Anyone wanna go out drinkin' one of these nights? I've been in a going out and drinkin' kind of mood lately. I know everybody hates a) going out drinkin' b) me, but it never hurts to put the bait out there, except when the bait is your own tibia. Love, Oon.
Getting the BAND back together

Well- You guys still got your musical equipments? (or as we in the "biz" say, "gear.")
Well- my studio job is TEH SUCKz so I don't wanna work here much longer, BUT seeing as I had such fun the other nigth with my Punk Rawk Monstar Jammy Mash, I was thinking I could get you guys in on one of my days off to knock out an album or two. LET'S DO IT! It's up to you guys to tune your fucking "gears" but other than that, I can make it sound bettar than we've ever fu(ked with!
We could do whatever. ANd seeing as the dudes I jammed with were not so into actually trying to do "songs", we can do it! For HUMANATY!

See ya in da' pit!
UPDATE
4:50PM
Hey- saw our listing on SHoutcast, and you know- instead of it just saying Pun Crock (which btw, i love it!) maybe you ought to put "punk" "metal" and whatever other cool keywords. Otherwise, unless someone types in ACTION TEAM RADIO or just browses through ALL teh stuff, they aint gonna find it!

Also, at work this new bitrate is tits (its dsl I think) but here at home my aol still dont like it. :(
No big deal! Its probably cuz we're running it off yer machine and not some super server like some other stations (I usually have no-buffer problems on 28k or even 56k stations... for whatever reason, this one aint crackin for me!) :) I just heard Descendents come on for a second, and now its some alkaline trio (?) - COOLNESS!

Nazi Punks Fuck Off! (and off... and off... and off...)

Hehe- Looks like the radio station got stuck on that Napalm Death song! Anyways, with this lower bitrate, connection is a lot smother. Could we furnish you with shows (maybe fill up a cd with a playlist or something?) Shit dude- just askin' !!!!

UPDATE Yeah, no more Nazi Punks loop, maybe something is broken with the MP3, have to look into that one.
Woody Allen's 4th Wife Born

I'm on Macs here at work, and it works fine. Click on the linky on the bottom of the page that sez ACTION TEAM RADIO and realplayer or whatever audio player you got on your computer should pop up.

:)

Happy Birthday to me (40 minutes ago.) :(

Am I retarded?

You all may as well be speaking Japanese to me (hamanamikimas). I have no idea what is going on with the radio, music thing. Is it supposed to be streaming as I am looking at our page? Do I have to DL something? Am I just shit-out-of-luck because I am trapped in the world of mac? Please help.
Action Jackson Radio

Yeah I think the real limitation is not the number of connections your box can pump out but bandwidth. Upstream on cable and ADSL is pretty bad.. I think we only get 384kbs peak on ours and our connection here is really good. That being said we should run a few test to see how many we can run simultaneously without degrading the experience and then set that as the server limit. Even if you were to get continuous perfect 384kbs that only translates to about 9 connections @ 40. Of course we all know that that bandwidth on cable is not consistant and that the stated transfer maximum is usually only a peak value. I can not imagine that the station can sustain more than 5 or 6 connections under good Internet weather @ 40kbs transmission. It is better to have the few connection be quality than too many with degraded quality and lost connections. AM I right in my logic Elric?

A current playlist could be fun, but fairly time intensive... You need to make it pretty low mantainence or it will get the old death by laziness treatment.

BTW I am bitter that I can not find alot of my old Metal CD's... Fuckers Jerks!

Elric, keep up the good work.

Bortz-a-lot, Bortz-a-lot, you gotta like Bortz-a-lot.
Action RADio v1.1

Thanks for the kind words about the station, hopefully we can make it R0x0rz!!!!

The server boasts that I can have 32 connections, though you can set any number based on server bandwidth. Yeah sorry about the frequency etc., I had it high cause I was testing it at home and wanted it to sound good, so I have lowered it to 40kbps, and 22kHz with stereo support. Hollar if I need to drop it even more, I hope not cause it sounds like crap as is..... As far as a high vs. low bandwidth options, I would need two servers for that, I only have one box running the "station" right now, and don't really want two, any volunteers? Then again, I might learn more about this and find out some workarounds for it, who knows. There are all sorts of goodies and whatnot to add/enhance the radio experience, perhaps one day I'll get to them...

Yeah, I'm using SHOUTcast.

I'm thinking about the whole cycling different themed playlists (manually of course, ugh...) as well as only running the tunes during certain hours. Also maybe a current playlist page? Yay or nay?
Tut De Sweete

Yeah the broadcast action is pretty cool. How many simultaneous users can you support? Do you just have a huge playlist that you randomize? Throw down the gritty details boy! Can you broadcast two different streams like a low bandwidth and a high bandwidth one at the same time?

Don't you love it when your cat will not get its ass out from in front of your computer. D'oh! Yeehaa, Descendents!

Yeah I know that some cable/DSL companies get a little pissy about upstream communication and serving web material, that is unless you have their business variety services. Jackasses. Hopefully they are too dumb to notice or do not care at adelphia. Or who ever serves you up these days in Hermosa.

Monkey Nutz
Coolage, Floater, Barnacle, and Other Good Stuff!

Sounds cool man! What system are you using (Shoutcast? Or the other ones?) and give us a linky linky too! I'll totally get on some station ID's! When we did our little punk-rawk jammy jam the other day, we've got tons of little 20 second "gems" that I could mix, and then add vocals over! Cool! Give us more info! Also, I don't remember the link, but there are some cool progams out there for randomizing shows, etc etc. DOn't know if you've been to THESE forums, but there seems to be some good advice in there! RAD!

UPDATE
Just check it out! TESTAMENT! Kewl! Hey- 96kbs is kinda tuff for me (damn aol), don't know how it is for the others...) COuld we maybe go 56k or 28k? Otherwise, its stutters-ville for clowns like me! :( :)
The Action Team Radio, in full effect!!!!

So, there is now an Action Team Radio Stream coming from my home.... yikes! Hopefully the following things won't happen:

1) H4x0rz won't launch the link and see my IP and try to fuck with it....
2) Adelphia doesn't get pissed that miraculusly my bandwith is super-high when it was nearly zero previously....
3) I get shit for not playing music anyone wants to hear....

It's kinda fun, so I'm hopefully going to get tricky with it in the future. First and foremost is to set it up so that no one can easily snatch my IP while linking to it, and then maybe we can get together and record some promos or some shit and throw that in the mix. I dunno, just some fun stuff.

And Johnny, I'm in for any and all those cons you mentioned on the reviews page, however, for anal/administrator/housecleaning purposes, PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE post general fun discussion stuff here, and full-blown reviews in the reviews section, I will be pleased....

Tell me what you think, problems, requests, etc!

the storyline even made me cry...i mean ME CRY,i aint cried to a game till I saw aeris die in FF7

Once we mix the gems that was our crazy punx jam session, I well let you all here it! Didn't even REMEMBER what "transformers" was, but ah, now I remember! I did think of "Ice Cream Truck" when I was in the rock n roll party mash, but we did all brand new originals. SPealing of Transformers, check out this crazy articles for some good MEMORYS!!!

To do your own intranet radio is easy (you gotta download shoutcast from winamp or something) but where it gets crazy is you gotta use a server- my damn aol wont let me be a server!

Right now I found a wierd internet radio show that is the book-on-tapes of Lord of the Rings! Cool!
:D
