what you need to do is call him up and live your information

Jonaleelee, you don't know what your missing. It was a great flick- live me alone!
I also rented Panic Room and something else (can't remember- Scorpion King maybe?) Anyways, I'll live my thoughts on those flicks after I've seen them. Hollywood Video has these kick ass 99 cent per movie rental coupons out- I couldn't belive the savings! Talk you to guys later!

Review: Panic Room
I want my 99 cents back.
I want my 2 hours back.
Swear to god, you'll enjoy the Michelle Phifer Indian Jones movie What Lies Beneath 100 times more than this.
Not scary. Not suspensfull. What a waste. :(
Grade: Big-Fat F- (Could have been a bad 30 minute episode of The New Twilight Zone.)

Editor's Note: omg, hax! JON you really really reallt really neeed to finish that flash movie. I really wanna do the music. wtf?

Yo Aaron!

I called up Flanders yesterday and he said that he hadn't mailed the deposit checks because we hadn't left forwarding addresses. Er, right. Anyway, what you need to do is call him up and live your information. The number is ***-****. I'd just email you but I'm not sure what your address is anymore.

Right after I left Panasonic (the first time) we had to do the special edition of Fast and the Furious in about ten different versions (domestic, Australian, Scandanavian, Japanese, Turkish, etc.). I still haven't seen the movie yet but I'm glad I dodged that bullet.

Don't you love when people send you huge attachment and you're on dialup? Yeah, I think that's great too.
EDITORS NOTE: Sorry for the amendment to the email, but we really should not print anyone's phone number on the site. It's just not good practice and bad things can happen. Email Aaron at: nyarlathotep@10d6.com
Rudy Da Troll

You gotta be shittin me! You're waaaay to generous buddy. That movie was the worst next to second sight. Besides the sluts n Hos and the muscle cars, that movie had ta be one of the worst. I couldn't even bear to watch the entire movie. Fast and the furious? Fast out the door trying furiously to run away maybe.

Re-Review grade: F+ (plus for the skanky hos and the titty grabbin)

Movie Review: The Fast And The Furious!

Yeah- its basically a remake of Point Break, expect the surfing has been replaced with street racing. The cars: awesome. Swear to god, made me want to be a street racer (and Point Break made me want to be a Patrick Swayzee.) The action: pretty good. I had read in reviews that the racing scenes were really good and made you "feel the speed", as Pennywise the clown says, BUT they weren't really THAT impressive. You could tell that there was LOTS of post-production and lots of green-screen. The acting: oh, not so good. This is one of those movies where the first 15 minutes is SO bad. The acting and the music are just garbage. And then, either:
1. You get used to it
or
2 It gets better
but it doesn't seem so bad after those initial 15 minutes. Overall: I liked it! It was pretty corny and dumb, BUT like Point Break, there's something appealing about it.
Overall Grade: B

Death (aka Teh Big SuX0r)

Yeah, that's a bummer about the Jammer. As I discussed with Eric earlier today I can't believe that guy was only 37. That means he started rapping when he was like 17 or 18! That's pretty aweomse.

I wore my Beastie Boys "Alessandro Allegre as THE CHIEF" costume to work and discovered only one other guy in my department dressed up. Oops! Oh well, at least I got to wear a fake mustache all day. I like teh moosetaches.

Work is turbo boring lately. It's also about the time when they start telling people, "Sorry, you don't get to come in today." This has happened a lot and I am endlessly grateful that when I went from Mattel to Panasonic I had the presence of mind to make being guaranteed the chance to work 40 hours a condition of coming back. Otherwise I would either be very very angry, back at Mattel, or most likely both.

I watched "Monty Python and the Holy Grail" today, it's an good movie but come on, that's ridiculous. Maybe the fact that I was wearing a mustache made it better? I do not know.

Remember when we had that one friend named Mike, and that other friend named Ryan? That was aweomse.
JMJ

(moment of silence)

Anyways, Happy Halloween guys! Any exciting plans? Regardless, it's been a joyous day for me. Work was good, social life feels like something brewing, and it's great that I can share it with good friends. Jon, does your parents have email addresses? If they do, please give it to me. On occasions, I could send them an email greetings card or something.

Inaneness. All my blogs are pretty inane, mostly responses, movies and games. It doesn't bother me at all though. I think It's really occupational. It doesn't bother me because my job doesn't require me to be colorful. On the other hand, as a writer, you can't be inane because then no one would care to read your books. Afterall who wants to read a boring book? I could write one myself. That's deep eh?

PBI: rule admendments
Eric, do a query search "PBI2 AND NEW RULES". You'll find a YAHOO Group that's hosted by one of the PBI2 designers. It has a file bin that has rules clarifications, new company sheets, and some other good stuff. Plus people post questions that I had eg. why are the mortars so dam powerful etc etc. Its a cool forum.

anyways, some things we were playing wrong:
1. On the first turn, the attacker can fire at anyone within 1 or 2 squares away from them and not the way we were playing where the attacker can only attack the 1st 2 rows. This deters the defense from lining up at the starting choke points, or they can, but as soon as they are discovered, the offense can lay down fire...

2. clustering is 4 or more (giving additional dice)
while overstacking is more than 7 (hit's on a 5 or 6). Think we were playing 7 or more.

3. The American garand rifles gets one extra dice per shot.

4. The americans smokes lots of herbs and therefore gets 1 more action point and lessens the morale check. They also are poorer than their german counterparts for buying so much grass...

Hairon, want to go to D&J's hobby shack this saturday? I want to invest in some PBI miniatures. You can paint them for me!

RIP
Tupac, Biggie, and (hopefully someday) Suge. Those guys led the life that would make sense to end in a tragic shooting, but not Jay. Not Run DMC. Doesn't make any sense at all.
Rest in Peace Jam Master Jay

This fucking sucks...

EB works as follows... you go in and give em your games and your shit and they tell you how much store credit they'll give you (not cash). For PS1 stuff it won't be very much, maybe 5-6 bucks per game, but if you don't want it anyway, who cares? (I got about 7 bucks each for my assorted Dreamcast games.) They will probably also give you something (but not much) for your console as well. Anyway then you can trade for your PS2 (or whatever).

I have to say that I refuse to get a PS2, for any reason whatsoever, but it really hurts losing out on the new GTA. Oh well, I would probably play it even more than I play Tony Hawk, so it's probably a good thing I can't play it.

Hey Rude sorry I didn't call you back (if you called me at all.. I didn't get any messages). Now stop bellyachin'! :)

Fuckin'-A man, I gotta rash too!

Hey- how does EB work. Alls I got is my PS1, but I could go for some gaming-credits. I'm still thinking about getting one of these next-gen consoles. They're gettin' cheaper as we speak!

Good luck with your JOB hunt on friday E-Man!

Oh yeah- thanks for returning my calls this weekend everyone (and yes, I called 2 of you.)

Cap'n Tapeworm Rides Again

DAMN YOU TONY HAWK!! You've beaten me once more. Yes, I had nothing to do at about 7:00, so I went to EB and traded in some old lame games for the Xbox version of my sweet, precious Tony. Ah yes. I would have to say that so far it looks like the best of the lot. Taking the timer out really helped change the pace for the better and the graphics are great. And I like how you buy stuff now. And mini-games too! I liked the street luge game.

Lawrence of Arabia... YEAH! Big screen is better than little for almost every movie but it's even more amazing for this particular movie for the shots where you'll be staring at some vast, vast expanse of desert, and then you'll see some teeny, teeny little figure come out of it. Those shots would have to be like one pixel high on a regular TV. But yeah, it's aweomse. (NEW VERSION OF THE WORD AWESOME!)

I watched the first half of "The Warriors" at work today (slow time). Oh man, it would be cool to have some pals and dress up as the warriors for Halloween.

This was a really inane post, I guess because it was all response and movie and video game talk. Oh well, they can't all be deep.
Events That Shaped My life Today

1) Taking a page out of Aaron's Linux purchasing experience, I thought I would switch the price tags between the $139.00 Redhat Professional and the $39.00 Redhat Personal. I did the switch then realized that the barcode that is scanned will remain the same, so I backed out at the last minute and just bought the Personal.

2) I installed Red Hat Linux 8.0 today and it is neat-o, strange, but Konquerer (the web browser) is awesome (!),so the Action Team Radio is temporarily out of order, like the band of the same state of being.

3) Some jackass from the Atlanta Thrashers delivered a deliberate knee-on-knee contact with jason Allison tonight, taking Allison out of the game, and potentially many future games, with a knee sprain. That motherfucker. I am so mad. Oh yeah, the little children that are being called refs missed the most obvious call of their lives, so no penalties were called.

4) Picked up Grand Theft Auto: Vice City today, too. Motorcycles, Helicopters, spike strips, music by Slayer, Hall and Oates, Anthrax, and others makes for a fun game. I like it.

5) Some of the best surfing of my life happened this morning.

6) I have an interview with Torrance School District this friday. Fingers crossed.
Florence of Arabia

Yeah when I saw it at the Castro up here I was pretty much blown away too. I had the same attitude before, yeah it looks okay.. Boring.. But it pretty much rocked. Seeing it on the silver screen was amazing. I think I am going to buy the DVD when I get the chance.

Sorry Rudy, I thought that you knew we were coming down. It was kind of a haphazard weekend for me since I was attending that party, visiting my family, and celebrating both my mother's and my sister's Bdays. Next time I will be able to hang more.

Did you guys see that Futurama was picked up by Cartoon Network for Adult Swim. Hopefully they will continue to put out a quality show. Obviously Adult Swim is not going to be able to shell out the dough like fox can. Then again Futurama was always the red-headed step-child.

A Message to you, Lawrence: F*CK YOU LAWRENCE (fucker!)

G-Damnit, there's lots of movies I need to see that are out now. I have seen "Lawrence" on Digitol-Video, and even on the small screen, it is AMAZING. I'd always avoided seeing it- Eh, it looked kinda boring. And then recently I rented it on a whim, and WOW- knowing nothing about it, I was blown away. That scene early on when blows out that match- hehe. I should see that on the big screen.

Well, a movie I just watched that is really good is called Tape. Its from Richard Linklater (the guy who made the super-cool "Waking Life" movie, and some other shit) and its awesome! 3 people in it: Ethan Hawke, Uma Thurman, and some other dude (Ryan Weber?) and its all set in a dingy little motel room. Don't wanna say anymore, and don't read anything about it- just see it. Cool flick. :)

You guys are a bunch of jerks, and congrats on your diploma Jpn! :) :\

I got my diploma and saw Lawrence of Arabia today. HOLY SHIT... do not deny yourself the pleasure of this movie, if you haven't seen it on the big screen yet. It is visually one of the most amazing movies I've ever seen. There isn't even that much dialogue really, it's mostly one amazing visual after another. In the beginning it's mostly desolate desert landscapes, then people and horses, then trains, and then cities... despite the length of the movie you never see the same thing twice, and there's always tons to look at.

Props to Ice Lee and Enron for coming down. Sorry rude for the lack of calling... actually I didn't get to see Aaron much at all. Of course it didn't help that on Saturday (the day he was around) I was sitting in Eric's chair in a borrowed Miller Genuine Draft shirt, without having showered, sleeping off my hangover most of the day. I smelled so bad by five o' clock, it was amazing.
THNAKS

Thanks for getting in contact- wonderful seeing you guys too. :\
A Fun Filled Weekend

Blogger Diary Entry #1

1. Hermosa beach and Manhattan are da shitsa. The beachy environment, scantily clad women with large... um... rolling hills, warm breeze, tropical restaurants, mellow people... definitely a serene place, second to none.

2. House Parties with the sound of crickets: I like. Big loud loud raving dance parties w/ pelvic gyrations: Got it's cool parts, but definitely not as much liked as the house parties. It's more important to have a good crowd, quality rather than quantity. 2 thumbs up. Kudos to Matt Ziskin.

3. Driving 6 hours is definitely taxing. Aaron, the ironman was able to pull it off with incredible stamina which I don't think I would be able to handle the driving all by myself. I remember Mr. Oeterson and I once went to Vegas, but I think we started early on both legs of the trip. Driving in the morning is by FAR less of a struggle than driving at night especially after the day over hangovers.

4. Team Fooseball Hockey, PBI, Grand Theft Auto III and a little of Hitman 2. Can there be a better comination than that? Perhaps, but not today. Only regret was not having more time to explore the possibilites. A little nerdy... who'd judging? Certainly not I.

All in all, Weekend: Nastalgic goodness.

i saw the Jackass movie this weekend. I laughed for an hour and a half solid. If anyone needs to see it, please let me know. I need to go back and see it again. I missed so much from almost passing out becasue of the laughing. Worth the $6.50 (student price). That's all for now.
