I feels smart in my pink wig and moustache!
There are only a few numbers (like probably 10) that the expression can work out to. For example, if you pick 82, it works out to 72 (82-(8+2)).
If you pick 83, it works out to 83-(8+3) = 72.
If you pick 84, it works out to... you got it... 72.
Another possible number is 9. For example all the numbers 10-19 work out to 9.
So there are only a few numbers that it can work out to, right? So how's it guess the symbol? If you look at the chart you'll see that the possible numbers have the same symbol every time. It's just that the symbol that is assigned to that group of numbers changes.
So if you launch the puzzle twice, and look at the 9 and the 72 each time, you'll see what I'm talkin' about.

Ok, someone please explain this to me.

It's worked twice for me, but I'm gonna try it again. Basically you think of a 2 digit number, then add those two numbers together and subtract it from the orginal 2 digit one, then you look at an icon representing that number on a grid - and it figures it out - I'm confused.

Don't sweat it
Elzar: Hey you know, it is what it is. I understand the baby thing is a bit of a schedule wrecker. Fortunately, my boss is way cool and did not mind me staying the whole day. Got a lot of shit done at work and my desk is actually clean. Well mostly. First time in weeks. Ugggg. Yes I will indeed be old. I was hoping you could make dinner Saturday with the us on Saturday. Jon, Mike, the special lady friends, and I will kick back one for you.

Enemy O' Fun and Breaker of Plans
As it ends up, perhaps the idea of leaving Leslie alone here for a few days with not only 3 houseguests, but houseguests with a kid that is on a different schedule than Wylie (ie cries when Wylie tries to sleep), and not being able to sleep in our regular bed, and having the kitchen out of use for a few days because of remodeling, was not a so well thought out plan.
Apologies to all in SF that were looking forward to my visit (again), but this whole kid + outside elements that are not the usual schedule + one parent to deal = bad idea for Eric to visit SF.
It would have been fun, partuculary cause I think Enron turns Old this weekend, right? Saturday?
Alas, one day, perhaps when things are normal around here, I will be able to skip town and sleep on a lovely floor, and play some lovely games, and eat delicious garlic fries, once again!
Sorry Enron if you scheudled your half-day and had to waste it.

Gozarian: That Wylie vid was awesome! LOL!
Rood: New pics? Teh? Am I missing the secret stash?
SF Crew: Thanks for the good times this past weekend.. it was great! Even better to watch my team win at the wire. Wheeeeeee! Bummer news: got back and was told by dentist that the excrutiating pain that woke me up out of a dead sleep was an infected root in one of my molars. (How the hell does THAT happen?) So, I get to have a root canal done in about 10 days. WIN!

nwn2 is out! any of you guys get it yet? i might try in a few weeks but i'm a little weary if i'd meet the mem requirements - been a LONG time since i upgraded.
just watched the 1st ep of Torchwood. Pretty good! Waaaaaay different from Doctor Who - definately darker - and they say shit and fuck on it too! Not a lot, but like sprinkled here and there. Anyways, yeah it's cool. ;)
Nice new pics. Change mine though, jeez! And Jon's is friggin' rad looking. And no fair, Jael gets his glamour shot in there.

Hey A-Team,
I'm doing good man. Today is national soul day, no work. Everyone is busy digging up... i mean visiting the cemetary generally for parents, grandparents and I've even heard great GP's. The roads were fairly deserted when I drove to Mcdeeznutz. Does anyone actually commemorate their great forefathers or even remember who they are? I've fallen into the 20th century civilization syndrome: It's hard enough to commemorate grandparents let alone the ones further up the food chain.
EDIT: This storm was much milder, in fact it was just rainy. No major damage. This one was probably hyped to make it seem like the country is in Red alert...
Work-wise, it's good, finally got some dues. Recently been given some light managing roles in the purchasing dept. Can't say i'm getting paid any better but it's a different set of challenge and more satisfying for sure.
Other than that, picked up Neitze and the guy is certifiably crazy.

Ok ok.
Seeing how I have received a great deal of flack from Myke and O Rugs, I will make new avatars tomorrow. You couple of bearded clams!
Elzar, If you make it up that would be sweet. Let us know what the low down is later this week. Also, that is a freaky funny video of Wylie. Awesome hysterical laughter!
Good times with O this past weekend; especially the mugs of Gin and Scotch. Damn. Art and I were so toasty he Drunk dialed and gave the phone to me to unknowingly leave a message on... my own VM. jArk!
ja -El: How are you doing there. Did the latest Typhoon rip you a new one? This seems to be a busy year for that unpleasant activity.

Los Angeles is Burning...
...with baby fever! Leslie is having the same friend, Meredith, stay at the house as last weekend, but this time, she is bringing her sister, Jennifer, and her kid that is a week younger than Wylie, Asher. What does this mean for you, fair Action Team? It means I may, or may not be skipping town to escape the Mess o' Mothering that will be going on at my house starting Thursday and ending Sunday!
So, MAYBE, if I can swing putting both car seats in their rental car, which then also has to fit 3 adults, and get the Prius for the weekend, I may just jet up to SF to invade your homes for a few days!
If I can't get the car seat situation figured out, I don't really wanna drive the truck up there again, so the deal is off!
Updates as they come, and Rudy and Denis are welcome to flee with me, if they are so inclined, though I doubt it.
ASL!

That's a brilliant observation Jon, I concur! By rough estimation that would be a 2 feet by 2 feet dice rocketed at about 100 fps at a distance of 3 times your body length, so roughly 16 feet. It would be quite hilarious to see an object of that enormity flying past ones face over and over and over again.

Nice video! I have to admit, if I saw a d20 that proportionally large, I just might start cackling with uncontrolled glee myself!
Aeryk -- how are we looking for GenCon? There's a fellow in the SF game group that's thinking about going down there. I thought I might offer him a spot in the room if we're looking empty, he's a decent enough chap. (Enron, this is Eric, the big feller.)

Steve reholstered his piece; the other cops separated. Rudy looked down at the keyboard, felt his knees buckle and made like a criminologist so he wouldn't pass out or vomit.
Day 1 LAPD - pretty cool! Get my own desk and pseudo-cubicle, so should be something fun and new. Easy. Very easy. Boring? Oh yes, but that's alright if the money rolls in like I desperately need it to.
Awwww wiley is a funny little guy! :) Maybe you spawned the anti-nerd and he's laughing in disgust at the d20... or not!
PS Elrock look for a new BBC show called Torchwood, its a spinoff from the new Doctor Who. Haven't actually seen it yet, but I'll prolly grab the 1st 3 episodes soon as I finish 2nd season of Doctor? Maybe it sucks, maybe not.!?
