I'm probably skipping L4D2 (r2d2's cousin?). The original was fun, but I didn't get enough online goodness out of it to justify another $60. (I've already played Borderlands like 3x as much). Maybe if I get gamefly next year.
My PC is pretty decent right now! I'm running xp on my intel mac and should be "current" for a year or two. Fired up Dragon Age briefly and had fun. My character is a dwarf female named Rachael who dreams of someday becoming a famed cook. But first it's going to take a lot of bloodshed, and a lot of dirty, dirty sex.
(I thought the default dwarven female looked like Rachael Ray, so I decided to roll with it.)

Nah, I returned it last week for Dragon Age :( !!! Left4Dead2 in couple weeks so maybe we can meet again there. Do you have a gnarly pc!? I'm just afraid mine wouldn't run it, but I'll probably get it down the line when it's cheaper and if I've upgraded by then. But yeah, I'm liking it a lot. Still running through all the origins so haven't even got into the main chunk of game yet.
I'm glad you like it! I'm relieved because I bought it a few days ago (for PC) and finally have a chance to check it out. In fact I was going to play it RIGHT AFTER checking the blog. Definitely people seem happy with it.
Do you still have Borderlands? Enron got it for his b-day, so if you've still got it we can form the Pandoran Action Team Auxiliary.

| Dragon Age: Origin
The new Bioware RPG Dragon Age: Origins is awesome. Playing it on the PS3. Supposedly the PC version is the bestest but I just don't have a rig capable. Then the PS3 with the 360 version looking the worst, sorta. It's got some goofy old-school textures but whatever, it's just a fun Baldur's Gate for the modern day. They ditched the DnD license so created their own world which is HEAVILY influenced by stuff like GRRM's Ice & Fire books. In the game there's the "Grey Wardens" who are basically the Night's Watch. And it's all dark-grimy fantasy. But it's great! The "origin" subtitle comes from I think it being the first game in this new universe they've created, but also there's 6+ completely different openings to the game depending on the race/class you choose. Those "origins" last about 2 hours or so and then you get to the same starting point for the rest of the story. (The reason I say + is that if you're FEMALE, then the origins are totally different as well - at least in the dwarf and elf ones I've tried - but its the same basic story, you're just playing a different roll.) RAD!!!
If you've got a computer capable, totally get the PC version though. They released all the tools so it will probably be like Neverwinter Nights and have a big community with homebrew adventures that the console one's will never get. Also, the console controls are kinda goofy. I'm already used to it but I can only imagine how rad it would be to have complete control of the menus, etc, with a mouse.

| Happy birthday Enron
And here we all thought you'd OD on speedballs before you were twenty. Congratulations, jark.
The new edition of Warhammer Fantasy Roleplay was totally not on my radar, but man, this is some weird shit. It looks like they decided 2nd ed took it as far as it was gonna go and just completely changed everything up for the new edition. It comes in a huge box and has tons of weird dice, cards, all kinds of shit. Best part is it assumes a GM + 3 players, unlike 4th ed D&D whose default assumption is GM + 5. It's as if they know that if you're a WFRP fan, you're kind of a friendless loner. Which I am!

| The future...
Had a decent Halloween. Went to a couple of parties as Ricky Ricardo with the lady friend going as Lucy. One of the parties was kind of a fancy one in Pacific Palisades and they had some celebrity psychic there and I got a reading. Weird shit! Kinda hokey too, but it was fun, here's some highlights. In about 4 or 5 years I'm going to publish a bestselling novel, sounded sorta like a memoir, maybe having to do with my job (so maybe something crime related - like another OJ? some behind the scenes shit perhaps?) She also had visions of FBI or CIA in my future in that I'd be working for them in some capacity. She said "I see a man in a brown suit..." and implied that he was going to pull me into some sort of government intrigue. THEN she asked if I believe in UFO's and I said "sure" and she said "you should listen to this radio show, coast to coast with art bell..." I don't know how that random bit relates but it was still pretty funny.
Fucking Halloween.
Fucking Halloween.
