| Dragon Age: Origin

The new Bioware RPG Dragon Age: Origins is awesome. Playing it on the PS3. Supposedly the PC version is the bestest but I just don't have a rig capable. Then the PS3 with the 360 version looking the worst, sorta. It's got some goofy old-school textures but whatever, it's just a fun Baldur's Gate for the modern day. They ditched the DnD license so created their own world which is HEAVILY influenced by stuff like GRRM's Ice & Fire books. In the game there's the "Grey Wardens" who are basically the Night's Watch. And it's all dark-grimy fantasy. But it's great! The "origin" subtitle comes from I think it being the first game in this new universe they've created, but also there's 6+ completely different openings to the game depending on the race/class you choose. Those "origins" last about 2 hours or so and then you get to the same starting point for the rest of the story. (The reason I say + is that if you're FEMALE, then the origins are totally different as well - at least in the dwarf and elf ones I've tried - but its the same basic story, you're just playing a different roll.) RAD!!!

If you've got a computer capable, totally get the PC version though. They released all the tools so it will probably be like Neverwinter Nights and have a big community with homebrew adventures that the console one's will never get. Also, the console controls are kinda goofy. I'm already used to it but I can only imagine how rad it would be to have complete control of the menus, etc, with a mouse.
