Nice!  spagetti!   (That's what i thought it was before I clicked on the video)

After that video, I clicked on the next thumbnail "removing worms from intestines from a 3 year old".
Ugh, I'm sick! I had one of those moments this afternoon where I went from feeling totally fine, to suddenly knowing I was sick, then over the next total hours moving into Crapsville.

I blame this disgusting video of a parasite emerging from a freshly killed spider:

Interesting reading about the best order to watch the Star Wars movies, if you gotta watch the prequels: linky

(Spoiler: it's 4-5-2-3-6, skipping Phantom. But the reasoning is pretty well thought-out.)

| Blockheads

For you iOS dudes, get the free game Blockheads. It's really good. It is a side scrolling Minecraft that looks and plays really well. Read the directions first time you play because some of it was a bit confusing. Blockheads.

| spoony bards

Finally got to catch up on all your youtube clips at home this afternoon. Good stuff. Weird stuff too (the NSFW cartoons!?). I've always heard of Dead Can Dance but I didn't know they literally make Spoony Bard Elf music! That shit was crazy but totally medieval and awesome.

Looks like Jael and I are planning on heading up thursday Early afternoon. Can not wait for that trip. I'm taking butt loads of horrible vitamins trying to stave off the plague.

That robot band is excellent. The world needs more things like this.

The idea of getting together a bunch of dudes in a beach house to hang out listening to Enya is pretty hilarious. Although, on that note, check out the Tori Amos cover of Raining Blood. It's pretty frickin' creepy.

| There's always Enya. No seriously.

How in the name of urine hat do you even come across these videos?!  I'm fearful to see your browsing history.

I realize my music leanings are at best a tangent to your venn diagrams.  Despite that, I offer some Dead Can Dance for the gothy elves in the party.  For the bardy elfs and more for the gothy elves.  And finally for the d&d gothy elves.

To cleanse your palates, I offer this to get some metal cred...  ASUS PAYS!!!

I'm pretty sure it was the ManOWar album The Triumph of Steel which features a kick ass Conan looking cover. It had a 28 minute song :( YouTube some if their stuff, it's slow and awful.
Nice! All that pretty much has to be a couple hours already, do I think we're good! Thanks dudes.

Rude - which Bolt Thrower album was it? I'll put in a song in memory of the incident :)
My List:

Man O War - The CD Rudy was so proud to buy and then was super embarassed when he played it in Elrick's old room and everyone laughed at it.

| List Strap-Ons

More list goodies

Okay, working on current stuff. I am definitely not so knowledgeable with current bits but I will work on more than just this...

Arch Enemy - Dehumanization (Audio sucks on this You tube, but the original is clean).

Maybe some Unearth and As I Lay dying, although maybe a little to Metalcore?

Super Classics are Easy

Bolt Thrower - World Eater and/or Cenotaph (Absolute gaming classics, and GW approved)

Death - Lack of Comprehension (Another gaming Classic)

Obituary - Left Hand Path

Sepultura - Arise

Motorhead - Ace of Spades

While on the slayer theme, I'd throw in Slayer - Angel of Death from reign in blood. Another brilliant classic. Maybe Slayer - Seasons in the Abyss which is a good bit more moody

Iron Stain - Hallowed be thy name May need to clipped some of the lead.

Megadeth - Holy Wars

Metallica - Creeping Death or For Whom the Bell Tolls. Both have dramatic flare, even though it is Alcohollica

Okay for the super mood cult moment: Black Sabbath - Black Sabbath. It is pretty long though.

| Ummmm... Urine Collecting Hat?

Oh dear god this (NSFW) is fucking amazing!!!! This (I repeat NSFW) was the number two suggested video given when watching the YouTube video of 3 Inches of Blood - Deadly Sinners. Skip to 0:39 for the brilliance to begins promptly... LULZ

Also, this project actually seems like the perfect eLzar job. The Metal thing, not the vagina thing. Or maybe the vagina thing is his bag too, I donno. I don't live with the man anymore.

That's some quality stuff right there! I definitely am more of a fan of the "classic" metal sound, but the couple Aeryk threw in there definitely seem like exceptions, since they appear to be somewhat silly/lighthearted, and not about raping nuns with their own entrails, or whatever. I give it two thumbs up!

And we'll only go a couple hours so no need to make it too long!

I'm pumped!

| The Playlist Begins...

 - 3 Inches of Blood - Deadly Sinners
 - Judas Priest - Night Crawler
 - Slayer - Reign in Blood (notice, the blood raining down, get it?)
 - A Band of Orcs - Into the Maelstrom
 - Amon Amarth - Twilight of the Thunder God

| Rock on Mother Truckers!

jr0n, in that case, my Metal list will be pretty good. I can tailor it some more to get it pared down to predominately old school thrash (e.g. Slayer and Megadeth) and grindcore/death metal (e.g. Bolt Thrower and Obituary). Maybe cut it down to three to four hours. I am pretty excited about the list r00d described for another fantasy themed board game. It would be, in the recent parlance of jr0n, "super appropriate" for Warhammer Quest or something fantasy and RPG like but fast paced and pulpy like that.

I really want to try Lords of Waterdeep! That one has shot up pretty high on the BGG list. And I only played Castles of (Ron) Burgundy once and it was under suboptimal conditions, so I'd like to try that one again too.

DCC: I'm thinking epic-sounding scores mixed with exciting heavy metal. Kinda the audio equivalent of this:

Like, "Rain in Blood" would fit in there nicely, not so much the sludgy industrial music we listened to during JP's Werewolf game. I can definitely make my own, just thought someone might feel inspired.
Bummer you can't make it Farturo. The most I've ever seen you/hung out was like 2 minutes at Enron's wedding. Start planning for man-named related event in early 2014.

I'll bring this sweet bluetooth speaker we got ourselves for christmas. Sounds really good and the technology is pretty impressive. Not perfect by any means, but it works really well.

I'll also bring my meeple-pimped Lords of Waterdeep, Castles of Burgundy, and a handful of other newer games.

What kind of soundtrack does DCC need? I found a ridiculous Pandora station that's called "epic soundtracks" that's just these ultra heroic movie scores like Braveheart and Lord of the Rings. That could work unless you wanted something more specific.
