This is the most insane thing...

I guess the first Apple store that opened in Japan was quite an event. The line is just obsene. Check out the video.

Rude-a: I thnk 50% of the missions to Mars have failed. Particularly the Russians. They have sent more junk to Mars then anyone else, and most of the missions have miserably failed. I think they are sending monkeys up in the probes because they dont have enough money for electronics. The monkeys probably dont have enough food and die.

Elrock: How close are we to passing the injury man-games record this year? I think we are heading for a new record, two years in a row. D'oh! Andy Murray at the hardware store, "I'll take to more rolls of Duct tape, three packages of rubberbands and... Do you have any Gum?"

"My lord! I have never seen such giganticism in a scrotum before."
Only the lonely...

Hey! Glad you had a rad honeymoon in Costa Rica! I've never been there but I've heard a lot about it from Jon and now you. Someday my friends, someday. Jetblue has a deal for flying to Puerto Rico right now - $99 each way (from Ontario or Sactown.) That's REALLY FUCKING CHEAP. My parents are going in May, so I'm really thinking about going also.

A friend at work lent me some rad dvds:
The Complete Ben Stiller Show - from mtv, anyone remember? Funny ass stuff.
Mr. Show 1st Season - I've never seen it but its supposed to be funny.

and then he also lent me 2 of those music video directors series that Jon mentioned watching: Spike Jonez and Michel Gondry. Frikkin' A , the Michel Gondry one is AWESOME! He's done a bunch of Bjork videos and a ton of other stuff. He also did that White Stripes video thats all in Lego. Haven't watched the Spike Jonez one yet.

Is Mars Cursed?
Why the hell does anything we send up there break? I know its SUPAR far away, so I guess there are just SO many variables and all that shit, but FUCK. Comeon! Everything fucking breaks or disappears or malfunctions or whatever. I know a few missions worked (back in the 70's) but what the fuck??? It's kinda weird if you ask me. HMMM. I might have to turn this into a Chill Module.
Hope you guys are all staying warm - see ya!

Elrock!

Elrock: Good to hear you had a good time! I kind of figured you were super bizzay. Speaking of Actionshots I was hoping to dump it onto the 10d6 actionteam server, but since they changed the passwords/login after the server outage debacle I was not able to access it. I was also hoping that we could link it off of the 'images' link on the ActionTeam site. RotK was pretty rocking. I wonder what they are going to add in the extended version. The first two really had a lot of good extra footage. I am so not interested in working for a big company. The times that I have enjoyed myself the most has been when I have worked for small companies. You get to work on a lot of aspects of the product/service. Where as a large company you feel like a cog in a huge machine. Blah.

Johnny: I get that way sometimes. You get all upset about something someone says or does that is out of there control and then later you can not seem to understand why you were mad in the first place.

Motorbyke: Sign me up.. Oh wait I would look like an idiot about ten seconds into my first lecture.

Jon & Ru-Dog: I was never really into teh Thudnardcats. Most of my friends were but me.

Ry: Roll over your corpse stinks.

PS Elrock: Did you see I left the Raw Jpegs of the wedding on your computer desktop?
Some business Ideas

I'm all for the not working for others. We should pool together and form a consortium to discuss ideas. If I don't go to business school, I want to start something. Most interesting would be to start a Dot Com. Its a good time to perhaps reevaluate past failed concepts, as investors are starting to favor internet ideas again.

Eric did you get my email?

Valentines con is most excellent for me but I think there might be problems with others.

My brother and his friends were talking about starting an online chocolate company selling European local high class chocolates that's not easily obtained here in the US. Good for hotels (as complimentary pillow chocolates) etc. Just an example.

The Return of the Kingy-Yeah

It's true, I'm back and have been since saturday night, however being gone for 10 days, means you ahve 10 days of catching up to do... so that's where I have been, catching up around the house and sure as shit, catching up around work as well. So a brief synopsis of my last few days, and the 10 days before that:

- Costa Rica was awesome. I surfed there, drove on what could only be described as potholes with road connecting them, ate horrible food, stayed at one of the most beautiful places ever, enjoyed some of the bet weather ever, endured one of the most horrible flights ever, and gazed upon some of the craziest bits of scenery ever, and loved every minute of it. If you have the means, I highly suggest you pick up a trip to Costa Rica, it is so choice.

- Return of the Kings was good. F all the playa haters that though the ending was too long, I liked it.

- I think I am tired of working for someone else and am going to try and not anymore. Somehow.

- How about that Dow Jones? And just think, we were at Gen Con when it broke 10,000...

- Married life is sweet. Of course, it's not much different than normal life has been the past 6 years....

- Thank you all again for coming to the wedding and all of your generous wedding gifts, official thank you's should be arriving soon!

- Action Shots is cool!

- I'm a 2nd level True Dungeon Fighter! Even though I died!

- While the Tolkien Fellowship is neat, I'm still holding out for the R.A. Salvatore Fellowship.

Thats all for now. See ya'll soon? Anyone going to be around for the Valentines Day Con? Mike?
Tire Fuckup

I think there might be something wrong with my logic... Makes me think i'm a little hasty, judgemental and belligerant sometimes.

So the other day I went to the tire shop where I bought my last pair of doughnuts. They have lifetime rotation service, so I decide to get one as seeing my front tires were worn out a bit. The guy wouldn't let me rotate em because he claimed they were too thin. I guess he meant "thin" enough that his company policy won't let him rotate the tires, by the book. I know I could still use the tires for 6mo to a year (my uncles who is a mechanic tells me). So I took it personally, felt the guy was trying to sell me tires, and swore never to buy tires from that establishment. Went home and wasted my time writing a complaint letter...

All the while, it didn't occur to me, till now, that maybe the guy coulndt rotate my tires because it was too thin based on his companies policy. Its just sometimes these polices are too wasteful. Why not rotate tires that still has some life in em? I guess it's a combination of corporate greed as well. So why am I specfically mad at this place? don't quite know.

i'm don't wasting my time on this shit.
Ja -El...

I think the preferred nomenclature is "Bloody Buggerers" or if you are feeling nutty, perhaps 'Limey'. Brit is so derogatory. Yo momma. Yeah tell us what you don’t like mike, that way we can refer to you by that most hated name more often.

My back = Teh wrost. Fuggin' chair has slayed it.

Is Elrock back? He was supposed to be back on the 17th right?

Sweet, I'd totally fit in with the oriental studies faculty

You brits, need a good strong dose of real Asian Gangster culture.

Amended:
I don't know. do you get offended by the word 'Brits"? If you do, let me know, and I'll use some other derogatory slander. =)

J.R.R. Tolkien Professorship is now Open

Guys, I think we should apply for this... surely with all of our gaming and Tolkien knowledge we could get it. Hell, I'll even read the Silmarillion if it will help!

Check it out! Bottom of the page.

Spoilers

I think I noticed this before gen con so cal. But on the TD websiter contains a spoiler forum that gives all the answers to the room. Perhaps the answers weren't overtly given, but little hints and clues, including some that we missed, were shared. True, it's not in the spirit of the game, and for that reason alone was enough for me not to gravitate towards it.

2nd Level Ranger! Hooah!

J
2nd Level!!!!

Well, some of us True Dungeoneers reached 2nd level -- booyaaa! Now I can take 2d6 points of damage!!!!
Sorry Jon and Dennis didn't make it, but it may be possible to gain an XP boost by services rendered (so I hear anyway).

Check it out
Cool beans. Other than that, my life sucks. Cambridge = Teh Burnt and I'm tired of trying to fit in 30 hours of work into a 24 hour day... never mind sleep. And I miss you all!
