Well tell your friend guitarist he stinks and should go back to the hamalayan mountains to play the banjos.
and no... i'm not implying credit for my friends trip. did it come off that way? I'm just too brilliant for my own subtleties.

Here's a cool video of me playing drums with some friends last weekend. The rest of the people in the band are pretty boring but just focus on me. I was fuckin' killing it!

| Loong ass bike trip
Hey y'all, this was pretty unique done by the guy I was neighbors with at the factory for 2 years. We had our differences, I think one of his girlfriends post was of him being a "seargeant major mode". I think that just sums up him per se, and obviously his GF is more tolerant, and knowing me I just don't put up well with getting bossed around, but all and all, looking back, there were good times too.
So, this is a bike sabbatical that he's curretnly on for 1 year. The websites done really well, pictures are great artistically, so I thot this might jog some creative juices for you guys and some ideas. It's definitely given me some creativeness.

| Spooks
I'm watching this cool british tv show called SPOOKS. Well, in Netflix it's called MI-5 cuz SPOOKS is kinda a gnarly name, but regardless, it's pretty rad. Spy show, only 6 episodes in a season, but it's friggen good. I think Netflix has the first 2 seasons as "watch it nows" so you should check it out. SPOOKS.

| Classic Post #11
Ryan's previous post earns a place in the hallowed halls of comedy. Made me nose laugh some bits of cereal up into my brain which I will not doubt still be trying to get rid of sometime next week.
| Two rooms for sure? For Three nights?
One last comment before I we go forward on the rooms. I am going to assume that the hotel policy is the consistent with last year's policy. They do not allocate or reserve specific rooms prior to check in. This leaves us at the mercy of the specific occupancy complexion at check in time. Last year I had to work with the desk staff to get the one atrium room, as it was the only available at that time. It is very unlikely we will be able to get two adjacent and even less likely to get two adjacent rooms AND an atrium view if we check in on Friday. The problem is the hotel is typically at or near capacity by Friday of Memorial day weekend. The only way to have a great deal of likelihood of getting the rooms we want, would most likely entail booking and checking into the rooms on Thursday night. I leave it up to the group to decide if they would like to spend an extra $35/person ($125/night x 4 nights x 2 rooms / 7 Actionteamers = $142.86 or roughly $35 more than 3 nights). Two Kubla Cons events ago we had such a killer room because Elzar checked in on Thursday. Now I will try my best again this year, assuming 2 rooms @ 3 nights and will try and arrive much earlier, but in talking with the desk agent, that may not really change the options in our favor, it will just represent a different outcome.
Please advise and confirm gents, otherwise I will stick with two rooms and three nights.

| Jericho
Rent that tv show Jericho. It was pretty good! It went one full season (22 episodes) then got canceled on a cliff hanger. Fans made a stink, they renewed it for a 2nd season and did 7 episodes then finally canned it. I just started the 2nd season but apparently they basically give the series an ending at the 7th episode. They might try to shop it around but I think it's basically dead.
It's about a shit-ton of nukes go off in the US and how this little town in Kansas trys to survive. First season has its share of cheese with romantic subplots, but it got progressively badass as it went along and looks like it's gonna end as an awesome show. I watched the whole thing streaming on CBS's website, and I must say, they have the most atrocious streaming I've ever seen. So watch the dvds.

2 rooms is cool with me too. please let them be connected, thatd be depressing if they weren't. atrium view would be a bonus.
I got a week vacation startin tomorrow! I hope I can make the best of it. Staying in town though but I think I'm gonna try to do some fun shit like check out the new griffith observatory.

Aw, no Dave? That sucks! The con just got a little quieter....
I vote for getting two rooms. Is there anything we can do to make sure they're both adjacent and facing the atrium?
Glad to hear you got the AT-43 rulebook Aeryk! The game really is fun to play. Some advice if the books pique your interest in the game:
- You can often find the common unit boxes for pretty cheap on eBay (I cleaned up on UNA mechs this way)
- If there is both a unit box and a unit attachment box available, you usually want both
- About 1000 points is a perfectly viable starting army size, ignore the rulebook's filthy lies to the contrary
- As with every other miniatures game ever made, apparently, the rulebook has a lot of errata so make sure you grab that from the website
- Avoid the GF9 tokens, they're pretty but you need like two or three packages to get enough for a typical sized game
- The army list building rules are sort of hard to get your head around at first but fun to dick around with after that
- Unlike 40k or Warmachine, the fluff is lousy, and best avoided!

| News and Notes
According to my sources, it seems Dave will need to 'work' at the Poopdeck over the convention weekend, ipso facto no Dave or Ian for con weekend. That will mean there will be seven of us. This brings up the question of one vs. two rooms. Let's go over some pros and cons of each, shall we?
- One room: $125 (with tax a night or so) x 3 = $375/7 = $54 each, which is awesome, BUUUUUUUT, that means 7 people in one room.
- Two rooms: $107 each and 3 - 4 people in each room which is AWESOMMMMME!!!
- Probably add some cash on top of that for various fees, parking etc. I am throwing my hat in the two room ring because I am 32 and would like to have some level of comfort at this point in my life. Room for our stuff, room for our people, room to breathe, etc.
Maybe this time we can get rooms that are either connected, on the same floor, or at least near each other. Thoughts?
PS My AT-43 rulebook and Red Bloc books are enroute from thewarstore.com as we speak... more later as I read da roolz...
