Stuff n' stuff
ElrOxOr: Yeah we should have a few for my Bday at der Khawn. The first to hit 30. Stale. When last we spoke with Myke, early december was out side of his scope. He did not think he would be in the states. I would love to try out the CoC CCG. I like CoC genre games.
Ja El: What'chu you talkin' bout Wilibus? Fight to the death? Sunday. Ill have to miss out on that. Most likely I will be on the road to go back to SF.
Ry: Maybe we should try and get an inititive to get the Western costal states to suceed from the union. Stupid Bush.

In the Land of Rice-A-Roni
I guess I haven't been too forthcoming about my SF experiences so far. I basically spent the first week of October doing absolutely nothing job- or apartment-related. In other words, it was purely a vacation. I spent tons of time walking around, going to random restaurants, lamenting that I have to do all my cooking with a microwave/toaster oven, and befriending cats.
In my second and third weeks I slowly started apartment-searching. I also got one job interview, but decided not to attend when I realized that maybe I don't want to do 60 hours a week in a dead-end job anymore. I'd much rather consistently work 40 hours in a dead-end job and spend the other 20 hours learning how to do something awesome. So I'm spending some time learning Java, with an eye towards learning J2ME (mobile version of Java).
I guess I posted about some of my apartment-searching adventures. I found two places I liked, but both fell through. So, the last week and a half has been a bit of a scramble, but I finally have found a nice place. I'm living with a young married couple and an IT dude who spends a few nights a week out of town. There's also a parapalegic cat. It seems like a good situation... the roommates seem nice, and I'm really happy with the room (walls could use a coat of paint, though).
I haven't been job searching so much because I've been so preoccupied with apartment-hunting, obsessing about iMacs, watching Freaks & Geeks, leashing cats to poles, waiting with Aaron in parking lots, reading about punk rock, taking big shits in a shallow toilet, and perfecting the art of toasted ham sandwiches.
I've been reading a fair amount, too. Current books, in case you're really interested:
A Princess of Mars
Pin-Ups
Please Kill Me
Exalted: Savant and Sorcerer
Head First Java
So, it's been a really good month to relax, explore SF, expand my brain a little, and probably spend more dough than I should. So, November should be all about job-searching... yee-ha!
By the way, everyone feel free to check out my silly li'l phone-camera gallery: hey ya!. (Password: enoto.)
Next year, I'm dressing up as Ragnar. I have the coat and everything!

Oh yeah.. All Hallow's Eve tomorrow..
Hmm.. that may very well put a damper on attendance. Although, you gotta figure most kiddies are done by 9pm or so, I'd imagine. Maybe we'll just have to play it by ear I guess.
BTW.. you fellas see where Dick Cheney actually said he thought people would look back and view our operations in Afghanistan and Iraq as "brilliant" ?
I almost spit my drink on my monitor.
Late,
~O.

Another Sunday Sans DM
- Tonight is bad for me because I am moving crap between houses today and tonight. I think I can swing tomorrow, but don't know the time, I will try 9pm or so.
- You can play Ticket to Ride online now at daysofwonder.com, haven't done it yet, just bought my copy of the game today, check it out though!
- Denis: Are you still coming to GenCon with your current work schedule? Please say yes. I need a full-time attendant to play Blood Bowl with and The CoC Card Game!
- Mike?
- Isn't your birthday coming up Enron? Let's have a little 30th BDay-fest at GenCon! Nothing too special, just some beer and some games, and maybe the return of the beer bong, but something! I have the perfect gift for you, already bought it, so don't even sweat it.... seriously, you'll like it. It's not like a poo in a box all wrapped up or anything.
- Jon: So are you staying in SF? We haven't heard about any success with job or house hunting? WTF?
- Rudy: Did your album finish on time?
May the Force be with you, and prosper.

Hey guys--what do you say we get together either tonight (anytime tonight) or, if tomorrow, then a little earlier? (Starting anytime up until about five-six, maybe?) I think I'd be cheating myself if I didn't go check out the wild n' crazy Castro district on my first Halloween in SF.
Anyway, if you guys are down for that, I can run some more Bramblewood Keep. If only tomorrow night works for you guys, it is real real easy to DM a game and someone else could pick up the job while I cavort with the gays.
Eric--I bet the reason you couldn't make anything but fighters was that you were inadvertantly trying to import characters with expansion spells or equipment into Johnny's non-expansion game.

We are so fucked. Sink, Florida. Sink.
Florida ballots go missing
Associated Press FORT LAUDERDALE (Florida), Oct. 28. —
Tens of thousands of postal ballots have gone missing in Florida, sparking concern over irregularities in the poll campaign. Poll officials here are questioning how many of a batch of 58,000 absentee ballots reached voters who requested them more than two weeks ago. State police investigated but found no criminal violations. Hundreds of people have called Broward County elections office to complain that they never got their ballots. The phone system was so overwhelmed that some frustrated voters could not get through. The county election office said the problem involved ballots mailed on 7-8 October, though the number of those actually missing was uncertain. Some absentee ballots mailed on those dates have already been returned to be counted. The Florida Department of Law Enforcement said it investigated and found no criminal violations. The county blamed the U.S. Postal Service. “That is something beyond our control,” deputy supervisor of elections Ms Gisela Salas said.
On another note... Team America is a GREAT movie. I strongly suggest it. It was pretty funny from top to bottom.

Ehhh..
Hooters is pretty bunk. They are really suspensive too for what they serve. Sorry ten dollars for a burger fries and a coke before tip sucks ass. ALthough we did have a great experience at Hooters in Milwaukee at the first GenCon. Five young strapping guys show up there and order diet cokes and salads all around. What a bunch of dorks. RULE!
fArt: Ummm.. heres the skinny on this Con. Not the same deal as the old school ones. Con starts on the 2nd (Thursday) and ends on the 5th (Sunday). So coming down Friday night would entail Saturday gaming and a few hours in the morning on Sunday.
Elrox: Ummm I would love Towb of Horrors. Perhaps you could do an adaptation though called Tomb of Whores and we can roll-hoff to see who gets what woman pregnant with what number of children. Ick.. That was the creepiest game ever. What a sleezy DM. Anyway I would like any RPG'n, I like the Idea of tournies. I also think we need to do the Living Dungeon again. that was coolio. Lemme think some mo.
Back to work. Snore....

i went to hooters for the first time in my life tonight - pretty let down. was still fun - the beer was flowing and my red sox fan-friends were hootin' and hollerin - the hooter girls were alright, but i think i hyped it in my mind like it was gonna be a trip to Big Eds - nah. Still, it wasn't as disgusting and/or disturbing as i thought it might be.
here's a clip from the 90's of bush flippin the bird :

Con-Queso?
Ok.. question about the Con dates. Aparently, I have an infant-parent class on December 3rd which is that Friday. If I was to fly down either later Friday night, probably arriving around midnight or so.. would I stay through Monday and come back to SeaTac on Monday night? I seem to remember our big Con going through Monday but that was the Labor Day Con.. so I have no idea if this one is similarly arranged. If not, at least I could maybe stay Saturday and Sunday and fly out Monday morning or.. yeah. Anyway..
I miiiight be able to swing that if so.
Will know more in the next few days or so-ish.

Gen Con Special Events
Anyone have an idea for a fun event or happening we should run for ourselves? What does anyone want to play as a group? My ideas:
- Blood Bowl Tournament. Between Denis, Jael and I we have human, orc, dwarf, halfling, wood elf, pro elf, and an almost painted lizardman, so we could all play if there is interest. Or if we have wireless internet access, we could do a FUMBBL tourney.
- A mega-killer dungeon crawl a-la Tomb of Horrors or some such nonsense.
- World's Largest Dungeon could be run all weekend long whenever there is interest.
- Mega 6 player Memoir '44 with two boards!
- Chug! the OFFICIAL version of the made-up version from last year that had me doing two beer bongs in a row....
I guess what I am getting at is that it would be fun to have something to prepare for, or plan for, or something like that. Something that would make this GenCon particularly fun! Ideas?

Always copy your text
I always do a "select all" and copy before submitting to blogger, it has its moments where it send the post to oblivion and it is easy to resend if the text is all copied. It's a good practice to get into.
We have a room booked with a check in on Thursday the 2nd and checkout sunday the 5th at the Marriott hotel adjacent to the convention center, hooray! Where did we stay last time? I know the Hilton was across the street, and there was something next to the Hilton, which must be the Marriott, were we at the Hyatt? I can't remember...
Anyhoo, we are locked and loaded, so at the very least Enron, Jael and I will party like rockstars, and I'm sure Denis can be persuaded to stay the duration, and we are just waiting on the remaining fence-sitters to chime it!
This con will probably feature more gaming and less double-laptop porn displays, less beer-bonging and less lapdances and ATM visits to finance said lapdances... unless there is a vote suggesting otherwise....

Trying this out..
Rud-ay.. I wouldn't bother with the Bioware modules for sale. There are dozens of "Hall of Fame" modules available that are just as good, if not better. Like I said before.. try out the Twilight/Midnight Paladin series! Dreamcatcher was very, very good as well and I absolutely loved the Penultima series. The Blackguard series started out poorly but the BGII module was worth it. Right now I'm playing the Honor Amongst Theives module and it has to be the best role-playing character module I've ever seen. It is amazingly well written and the "rules" are solid. If you sleep anywhere but a protected room you have a percentage chance of being woken up by city guards and being told to move on, being pick-pocketed or having your throat cut by other rogues.
There's just too much available to worry about the Bioware modules unless they add content like the SoU and HotU did.. those are well worth the cash.

Dang.. blogger ate meh post!
Briefly, this time..
NWN: Eric, beat the deer senseless, then feed him the malt liquor when he chills out.
Recall stone weak sauce: Yes, it's weak. So is the "rest-anywhere-anytime" healing/refresh dealie. The nice thing is that in most of the player made modules, this kind of thing has been addressed in one way or another. Be advised, however.. that at the end of the main Bioware campaign you will not be able to rest nor use the recall stone. So, you had better have a plan of action to fight a prolonged battle.
WWII Online: I'd love to hook up with you fellas! My likely spots for doing so would be Thursday evening post-9pm, Saturday morning early 8am-ish, or Sunday night after NWN with you guys (or perhaps instead, if attendance is such that it's just those of us with the game and we feel the feeling). Lemme know what sounds good to you guys! I'd love to multicrew a tank/bomber/boat with you and have some misadventures.
Weeeeeee!

Gaming goodness!
Con Update:
Upgrading my probability of attendance from 30% to 60%.. looking like this just might be able to be had. I will give a final go/no-go probably by next week.
NWN:
Eric, beat the living hell out of the deer. Once you beat him into submission then you can give him the malt liquor and have goatsex with him. Erhm.. wait, I told that wrong. =]
On the Recall stone weaksauce:
Yes. It is kind of a cop-out and I think you'll find that most player made modules address this in unique and different ways. I also tend to think that the rest-whenever-wherever method of regaining all your HP is weaksauce too. Be advised, however, that there is a point at the very end of the game where you can neither rest nor use the recall stone/portal to save your ass. So you had better have a viable strategy for surviving an elongated battle without such weak-sauce assistance.
On WWII Online:
I'd love to go galavanting through France and the low countries with you gents! As I've said previously, I've been using a buddy's second account but I'd be absolutely thrilled to reactivate my main account to go gaming with you fellas. It could be tons of fun to multicrew some tanks, boats, planes or whatever. Lemme know when you guys think you might be able to do it and we'll hook up! I could likely squeeze in an hour or two on Thursdays post-9pm, early Saturday morningish at maybe 8am? Or, we could junk NWN on a slow weekend without other participants and go play war games (or play afterwards?)
It's kind of odd, really.. but I've found that I have more gaming time now that we have the baby. Especially for start/stoppable games like NWN. I'm not complaining!

"Gentlemen! Good news! New Dungeons & Dragons handbook! Deities & Demigods... we're gonna have fun Friday night!"
I just finished watching my box set of Freaks & Geeks. This is an awesome show. It's nice that they closed out the series with some good old 1st ed AD&D. All you guys who haven't seen it yet (everyone besides Eric and maybe Ryan?) should check it out. It is a great portrayal of the high school years.
There are some situations that are painfully embarrassing to watch, but once you realize things work out pretty well for the characters by the end of each episode, it isn't that bad. It would be like if somebody made a TV episode out of our band's performance in that house in Hermosa. That would be some embarrassing shit to watch. But in the end, everything worked out fine.
SO GOOD!!!

WTF Spirit of the Wood
***NWN Spoilers***
Okay, how do I administer the antidote to the Spirit of the Wood?!?! The lil' bugger keeps kicking my ass, and I can't seem to give the juice to him, or to his precious alters, or nothing! Whats the scoop NWN nerds?
*** End NWN Spoilers ***
- Hey, I'll play WWII Online too ya jerks!
- I got the new World of Darkness RPG and it looks cool. It is basically the Storyteller rules, revamped can called the Storytelling System and is a bit like a GURPS or a D20, in that it is generic, and you buy the sourcebooks to play other versions of the game, ie Vampire: The Requiem. It's much the same, sans NIN quotes. I think our group is geared toward using a system like this when we get together because we seem to be more about the story and the hilarity that ensues over rules-lawyering and min/maxing. There were some VERY memorable moments using this system over the years:
1) After siphoning some gasoline from a car in the El Camino parking lot, we flee the Camino Police and to throw them off our tail, Rudy pops his head over the tailgate and changes only his face to a werewolf, and then gets shot in the face for his troubles... I think it put him unconscious....
2) Well, not so much using the rules but the fateful day when Jon and I played a Vampire run game my Mike and we became assholes and passed notes around on chips and then bailed out from the game before it really even got started to go to Bare Elegance. Jerks. I think I was a computer nerd....
So anyway, there is some cool stuff we could do with the system... not that we will ever, but we could...

There's some new "premium" content you can buy from bioware for NeverWintorNites :http://store.bioware.com/ Looks like 3 modules for like $7.99-$5.99 - I dunno - I'll wait to hear what peeps say about em, but there seems to be plenty of free homebrewed mods that are supposed to kick mucho ass.
I actually started getting into
(sorta)
Wolves of Calla by King, Stephen. Of course, today is when it was due to the library, and last night I just started reading it - I'm gonna try and renew, otherwise I'll jam thru it and pay the little late fees. Seems sorta decent so far - still, pages of shit that seem like they could have been trimmed or even completely axed.

Wait, I told that wrong...
I just finished the Blackguard NWN module series (BGI & II).. and will give it a thumbs up as a solid module to download and play. Warning, however.. the BGI module is painfully lame until you get access into the thieves' guild. Aparently it was the guy's first attempt at making a module and English is not his native tongue.. so some of the dialogue is painfully juvenile and hard to get through. BGII makes it all worth while, though. Very nicely done.
I've just downloaded "Honor Amongst Theives" and have begun playing that one. So far, it is hands-down the best "role playing" module I've ever tried, I think. A lot of thinking and "stealth" oriented gameplay thus far and I've really only barely begun. Looks like it's going to be a very fun one!
On a down note, I downloaded "Demon", the highly anticipated module created by the same guy that did the AWESOME "Dreamcatcher" series.. and have been very much underwhelmed. Started it and gave up in boredom within a short while. MIght get back to that one later, but it's hard to play something that isn't so great when you've got so many options of things that absolutely rock.
For those that have completed the original Bioware campaign, and are looking for something a little different.. I'd highly recommend the ORIGINAL "Penultima" series (not necessarily the "re-rolled" second set of modules which wasn't as good in my opinion). Download the Penultima City and the 5 modules/hak-packs that go with them and begin in the city... it's a humor-filled module that will keep you laughing if not from the dialogue and plot-line, then the custom equipment and descriptions. Very, very good. If you're in the mood for a more serious campaign, I'd strongly recommend the Twilight and Midnight Paladin series modules.. absolutely amazing.
Anyway.. I'm off of work now. Time to go home to mother and chile.. weeeee!

One time there was an ancient wise man with a sandwich in one hand, and a human head in the other. The ancient wise man's youngest daughter came up to him and said, "Why do you have this human head in one hand?"
"Because," said the man, "nourishment in one hand, wisdom in the other."
While they were talking a snake slithered out of a tree. They were in a jungle. The snake said, "I recognize that head. It belonged to a wise man." The daughter said, "Yah! A snake!"
A monkey climbed out of the tree and then Confucious climbed out of a stump. Everyone thought the monkey had a coconut in its hand, but then they realized that it was one of those round black bombs with a burning fuse. Everyone was like, "Aw fuck!" Then Confucious jumped 55 feet into the air and dodged the explosion. The jungle was on the moon!

- I put pepper and rocks on lot of things, but never salt or sand.... yeah, that's right, you just sit there and ponder THAT you two.
- Do we have kick ass room at GenCon yet? Should I call and get a room? Can you still get the hookups with the travel agent price Jael?
- Mike? Are you a doctor yet?
- My FF defense gave up 56 points or some such nonsense this week, WTF? All hail Costa Rippers for defeating, by 3 points, Bubba Smith the Team! Lets just not mention what terrible FF player I am and that my recievers don't do shizzle week to week, and that I never put in the right running backs week to week... anyone want to trade a star reciever for Bulger? The guy rocks, but he ain't no Culpepper... Any takers?

The Pickle/Mayonaise Jar
A philosophy professor stood before his class and had some items in front of him. When class began, wordlessly he picked up a large empty mayonnaise jar (might have been a pickle jar) and proceeded to fill it with rocks - rocks about 2" in diameter. He then asked the students if the jar was full. They agreed that it was.
The professor then picked up a box of pebbles and poured them into the jar. He shook the jar lightly. The pebbles, of course, rolled into the open areas between the rocks. He asked the students again if the jar was full. They agreed that NOW it was full.
The professor picked up a box of sand and poured it into the jar. Of course, the sand filled up everything else. "Now," said the professor, "I want you to recognize that this is your life. The rocks are the important things - your family, your partner, your health, and your children - anything that is so important to you that if it were lost, you would nearly be destroyed. The pebbles are the other things that matter like your job, your house, or your car. The sand is everything else - The small stuff.
If you put the sand into the jar first, there is no room for the pebbles or the rocks. The same is true for your life: If you spend all your energy and time on the small stuff, you will never have room for the things that are important in life.
Take care of the rocks. Set your priorities. The rest is just sand."

What is "Love" - Story of the old foolish King
Hey guys, this story just popped in my head, some of you may have heard this but this is how it goes. It's a little corny, but touches me nonetheless.
Once there was an Old Foolish King who had 3 lovely daughters. One day during dinner, the Old king asked his three daughters, "How much do you love me, my daughters?"
The oldest daughter spoke up, "Father, you are the most handsomest, wisest, King in all the Land, and I love you farther than the furthest point in the world!"
The old king grinned and replied "good, you must love me very much". Then the King looked at the second daughter and said "How much do you love me, my daughter?"
The daughter, not to be outdone by the eldest daughter replied " I love you more than the universe, more than the sun and the stars, as surely as your spirit will rule the heavens!"
The old king, impressed by this reply, smiled "Yes, I can see that you love me very dearly". And finally the old king turns his head toward the youngest daughter and asked, "How much do you love me?"
The youngest daughter, picking up a spritz of salt and a spritz of pepper replied to her father " I love you, as much as salt cannot be without pepper"
The foolish king looked puzzled and bellowed "Daughter, you must not love me very much!" and banished her from the lands.
Morale of the story: What the King doesn't realize is that Salt cannot be without pepper and that the youngest daughter's love was the greatest of all. It was not fathomed by words or guised in honey. Sometimes, I can't express in words and I guess I don't sugar coat stuff very well, maybe that's why I'm never good with chicks, and only the chicks that really care about me. But that's the way I am. =)
You guys are welcome to pass on the tale.

My mom sent me this. Thought that some of you might enjoy it...
A commuter, on his way home from work in Washington, D.C., came to a dead halt in traffic and thought to himself, "Wow, this traffic seems worse than usual."
He noticed a police officer walking between the lines of stopped cars, so he rolled down his window and asked,"Officer, what's the hold-up?"
The officer replied, "The President is depressed, so he stopped his motorcade and is threatening to douse himself with gasoline and set himself on fire. He says no one believes his stories about why we went to war in Iraq,or the worsening deficit and economy, or that his tax cuts won't help anyone except his wealthy friends. So we're taking up a collection for him."
"How much have you got so far?"
The officer replied, "About four gallons, but a lot of folks are still siphoning."
Don't fucking forget to vote for Kerry next Teusday.

**NWN SPOILERS WARNING**
Depending on how much "developing" you've done and how you've conducted yourself in those conversations (and maybe depending on Charisma as well, I dunno..) but.. at the end, if you've done certain things like hold on to her ring she discarded you can convince her that you're friends (or more) and to turn herself in peacefully and the two of you part ways as you forge on towards the baddies at the end.
Agreed about the vulnerability to some death magic and/or mind affecting spells. But, that's also why you can pick up items that give you added spell resistance and saving throw bonuses. You don't need outright immunity to survive such attacks with regularity. I think the truth is that most of us focus on building the biggest baddest tank of a killing machine we can which usually doesn't leave much room for defensive items. Why carry a spell-resistance 25 ring when I can carry something like a Brute's Ring which gives me a +4 strength and a -2AC penalty? MORE KILLING! Hehe.. an amulet of resistance, saving throws +5? Screw that! Give me my amulet of fireballs or at a minimum, amulet of natural protection...
So, likewise, I often found myself getting whacked by magic users as a result unless I had access to some kind of spell mantle protection. I would DEFINATELY recommend throwing down some skill points into magic-item use so you can read the scrolls or coming up with an item that gives you the spell-mantle or greater spell-mantle that you can power up once or twice a day as needed.

Re: WWII Online.. I'd love to multicrew a bomber with ya Rude! Maybe we can multicrew a tank too.. I love taking those fast scout vehicles on hit-and-run missions. I'm not sure what night I'll be on but I'd love to do it. Hmm.. maybe Thursday night a little late-ish like after 9pm? I think it would be easy to tack-on some WWIIOL time after flying rather than try to wedge yet another gaming night in on the family time. hehe...
Hey, check out my WWIIOL stats! *flex* LOL
Type in "Turo" in the callsign-search box and then click on "units" and check off "career" for best results. I haven't played under "Turo" in months.. been borrowing a buddy's second account for a bit. If you think you can get online Thursday night, I'll see about paying up my regular sub and I'll get online with ya for sure if you can make it a little later (like post-9pm?).

D'art Neverwinter
Aribeth portion was interesting. It seems there's a way for a multiple endings, but I don't think I developed the relationship very well, and at the end my only option was to slay her. But I wonder if it was possible to do elsewise. I'm not going to go back and do it all over again though, but if you can tell me what happens =)
I thought the Aribeth storyline was rather ... predictable and a common twist, Lord Nasher is an old idiot, and Morag was too easy 2 find and defeat.
What I really had problems with though is the Mechanics of death spells in the game. Either it's too strong or too weak depending on how high your fortitude is or if you have an immunity magic item. Its rather extreme, that either the spell works (game over - respawn) or it doesn't work and nothing happens. weak sauce. Also fear and mind spells are way too powerful in the same sense. The duration of mind spells are incredibly long.
Also some of the usefullness of skills can be balanced out. Some of the feats as well.

Ya mon! Cool hanging out last night art - hopefully next weekend everyone will be on board for sunday. After we got off chat, I d/l'd WW2Online and signed up for the 2 week free trial. I dunno dude - it seemed pretty sparse - I went to super-hot-spots, and still had trouble finding any baddies to kill. I'll try it again later.
Alright Mates!

WWII Online
If you're going to give WWII Online a shot, you have to try and get hooked up with a group of people and work together as a team. The game has a huuuge learning curve and beyond getting used to everything in game, it really helps to have a unit working together.
Do me a quick favor? Pop in at www.lafayettefederation.com and post a little "hello" in the open forums that you're a friend of Turo's, you're on the 2 week trial and you want to hook up with everyone to see what the game is really all about. I'm sure they'll get you the teamspeak info and text-chat radio channel info pronto. Before you know it, you'll be sitting on a truck with a dozen other infantry enroute to the front lines with bullets whizzing by and aircraft, tanks and boats all engaging one another.. so you can get dropped off, assault and capture a German town for the Allies.

NizzleNights..
Out of curiosity, what was it about the end you didn't particularly like? Too easy or not enough dramatical closure for your liking? Did you, by chance, fully develop the plot line and relationship with Aribeth throughout the module? That was an interesting touch at the end to see how it could go multiple different directions.
Rude-Meister and I played some NWN last night and had some fun, even if we only got to play for a little bit. We tried to hook up a game with him hosting, but for some reason I couldn't link up to his "server".. kept timing out. So, we joined one of the existing persistent worlds to have some fun. I think it was a bit laggy (possibly an Australian server?) with 30+ players on simultaneously.. I made a dumb-as-rocks barbarian type and he had a cleric. We started out ok and picked up a job delivering some supplies to an outpost. On the way, we took a side-trip into a cave where my barbarian was nearly killed by a mean pack of rats (diseased! Augh!) and then we were both promptly finished off by a threesome of ogres at the end of the cave that our level 2 characters just weren't up for fighting.. so we called it a night.
Still fun, though!
Hopefully next week we can get a large merry band of minstrels together and have some misadventures. Rudy has volunteered to play the lead Bard if Eric takes the role of Druid.

Hey Ry Ry
nope, don't know where you'd get a cheap Mot 400 on a 1 unit basis, plus it's a relatively new phones. Brokers sell in quantity and generally harder to acquire phones.
urm... on NWN news, I finished the Single player missions. Took a while, and the ending is a little weak.
But all in all a good deal. I'll get a mic by next week and I can call you mo fo's on VOIP! Booya
