The new lord of the king trailer looks cool...
Number 2 was decent, so I shall return to see the king! I just rewatched LOTR 1, was a lot better than when I saw it in the movie theatre. When it got slow, I just forwarded it to the next chapter! There were 3 or 4 chapters that could have been omitted. The rest were great!

correction... you haf bein terminated...
the "governator", that's what they called it last night... LoL!
I didn't like Bustamante either, and he was the next runner up. Camejo seems to be the best best candidate, however, unfortunately fighting for the Green Party doesn't have much party line influenza.
Too bad the recall passed.

Blood On Our Hands
Well, I hope at least everyone voted against the Terminator so at least they can sleep at night knowing they TRIED to stop the media/muscle/money/republikan giant from becoming our new governor. This country, this state, this planet is a friggin' joke.
And now I get to hear about it in my office all day/year. Grim times lay ahead my friends, grim times.

buy my record
Hey guys! Here's, I mean HERE you can see/hear/buy my instrumental cd I'm selling thru cafepress. If you're interested in getting a copy, i can for 1 day lower the price down to the super cheap $8.99 *cough* otherwise, I'm pricing it at $11.99 for now if anyone wonders onto it. They're shipping for cds is only $2.50, so its not so bad for the buyer (the seller isnt making much money tho - errr.) So, go check it out. I ordered myself a copy which i should be getting tomorrow - i'll let u guys no how the quality is.

New Record 7 viruses found!
on my computer. I was noticing a little slowdown but thought it was a small hiccup. So I think the viruses has been brewing on my computer for quite some time now. doh! Before I didn't feel it was necessary to put an anti virus scanner on my new Laptop. I guess I have been doing some pretty high risk activities, like searching for Warez, and downloadable shit like that. I've been visiting sites in russia, china, and probably even Bangladore!
Rich Dad Poor Dad eh!? Twas a Good book, how did you like it? I felt most of the anecdotes were really motivational rather than practical.
I am reading some books myself,
I want to check out the book called "Eragon"... written by a 15 year old, and is now the new best seller over the abundant Harry Potter books Yay!
Understanding Wall Street 3rd edition ****
Financial Planning *
The only investment guide you'll ever need ***
Finance and investement handbook ** (more of a reference guide really)
I put stars by them.... 1-5 ... 5 being the best
Oh by the way, jon and aaron... I read somewhere that the best way to launder money is to open a laundry shop, or in a suburban area a corner deli. Makes that magic skewer place kinda suspect eh? There are plenty of spaces in the mainstreet, why hide behind in a residential street?

Books I'm Reading
I have a problem with books. I rarely have the time to devote to them, and there are so many I want to read I usually have anywhere from 2 to 10 going at once. So here is what I am on right now:
1) It was Fun While it Lasted, the Bruce McNall story. Ex-Kings owner, in prison for tax evasion and other wonderful financial fiascos. Interesting "success" story. So far, he started as a rare coin collector and trader before college and now has dropped out from his PhD in ancient history to make a killing on the coin market. Mike? Ever thought of that? I'll partner with you!
2) Homeland, the Drizzt Do'Urden story. The first book of the Drow Trilogy detailing the backstory of my friend and yours, Drizzt Do'Urden. It's my light, endulgent reading while sitting in the bath listening to Kenny G.
3) Small Business Accounting for Dummies. Thrilling.
4) Just finished Rich Dad, Poor Dad. Ask Johnny about this one.
5) Understanding Cashflow for Non-Financial Managers. Again, thrilling.
6) Assorted rulebooks including: Up Front! and D&D Miniatures.
Also, NHL Hitz Pro is the best hockey game I have ever played, hands down. What it lacks in season depth (the rosters a bit outdated and are missing some semi-important players) it makes up for in absolute fun and excitement of gameplay. And its FINALLY 5 on 5 instead of 3 on 3!!! I am in heaven! AND hockey starts this wednesday! I played it while Peter and Denis were eating lunch on Sunday, and even they were hooting and hollaring just watching!

As much as I hate to say it...
The trade of Canadian Diamonds has been comprimised, as has all the diamond industry. Even the Candian Government has admitted that a certain amount of black market "Blood" diamonds somehow get certified as Canadian, even though the true mining location of those diamonds was Serra Leonne (sp?) or other war torn countires. However, the Canadian branded trade is only comprised of a small percentage of these diamonds, but they do make it into circulation. On the DeBeers note... The DeBeers diamonds are probably almost as safe from blood trade. They have been actively trying to remove them from their supply chain, again unfortunately they have no way of fully blocking them. The worst place to get diamonds is from any other market. Those diamonds coming from Tel Aviv and European cutting centers, outside of London , are the most infected with blood diamonds. That being said, the Canadian and Australian certified diamonds are your best buys, even if they are more expensive. Simply because they are not owned by DeBeers, a most constrictive anti-competeitive company, and they are the least likely to have blood spilled on them. It is the route I would have taken. On another note, DeBeers only has control of 50-60% of the world market anymore, thanks to the Canadian & Australian mines. DeBeers almost had the Canadian mine too. Lucky for us. Keep your eye on synthetics too. Next decade or so may change the trade and place it on its head.
Bortz a lot

I Feel I Need to Say Something...
...as I am the only one that can be looked at as Satan's Incarnate for having given a diamond ring to anyone. The diamond I bought is called a Polar Bear Diamond, and it is mined in Canada in a controlled, gov't regulated mine. This whole Conflict Diamond issue was a big one with Leslie and I (as well as with her brother and his wife). We did our research and one of the only ways to REALLY know where your diamond comes from is to to get one of these Polar bear Diamonds. They have a history included with them including mined date, location, original size, who cut it and everything inbetween. I believe they are even registered with the Canadian gov't. You don't hear about these so much because DeBeers is SO HUGE and has SO MANY subsidiaries and back-scratchers that they seem to do a pretty good job of keeping it quiet (see Grassolean). Also, the polar bears cost more, and no one wants to pay more money to keep their conscience clear it appears.
That is all. Denis, Peter and I played Crossfire today and it was fun. I also picked up Temple of Elemental Evil, but have not palyed it yet. Report to follow later. maybe.

Man, I miss and don't miss having a PC. On the one hand, I got a lot of fun from computer games. On the other hand, I got too much fun from computer games. Half Life 2 will probably be the r0x0rs. I'm looking forward to Thief 3 as well. My impression of Doom3 is that it will be fun and pretty but not too different from the other Doom/Quake games. That's not a terrible thing, but by the time Quake 2 rolled around, fun as it was, I was a little tired of the formula. Oh, shit... satanic heads on walls inside of pentagrams.
I played Bingo the other night. It was fun as hell! It was me and about 150 old people. When somebody was about to win a loud murmur would arise like angry bees. The few times somebody called "Bingo" incorrectly, angry old women shouted in cranky rage. I didn't win anything, but I did have a chili boat.
As soon as I'm done with Perdido Street Station (I'm on page 446/710, averaging 30 pages a day) I'll start up with Quicksilver and let people know. Why are there so many books? And why are they all so long?
That Diamond book sounds interesting. I've heard some pretty fucked-up stories about the diamond mining industry. "Here's your ring, honey! The diamonds were found by a slave who had his arms chopped off! It is a sign of my love."
Don't forget to vote for Arnold on Tuesday! He said he's going to fight for women's issues!
(Have you guys heard the sound bite where he apologized to the crowd? And right as he says, "...so I'm sorry for that," the crowd starts cheering, started by some total asshole sounding guy who goes "YEEEEE-AH!" I've been hearing that guy say "Yeeee-ah!" in my head all day.)

YEEEHAAAA, I made a hate list.
Do not forget about rubbing her boobs for good luck and her special ability, Rectal Fortitude, which gives her an extra anal wound. Sorry about that Jon, but I just could not help myself. I guess that is why my father tried to Kill Art and I at a restaurant two or three times. We just would latch on to something funny and drive it into the ground, much to everyone’s consternation. Jon, run what ever you want at the Khan, as long as it is not Gurrrrrrrrrrps. I am just amped to roleplay. I have not roleplayed in a long time.
Jon I think I told you about the books I have read of late except the most recent one, Diamond. Another non-fiction book. It talks about the DeBeers cartel and how diamonds make it into the market and all the dirty little secrets. Pretty good. I want to get the new Neal Stephenson book, but damn is it expensive. I hate buying hardcover. I mean they are cool and all, but expensive as shit. Sounds like it could be a good read though.
Three cheers to the new machine Rude. There is nothing quite like getting a large boost in your computer performance. Personally I can not wait for Half-Life 2 and Doom 3. They both look really good. Too bad Half-Life 2 has been pushed off until at least December and Doom3 into first quarter next year. Hopefully they will not get pushed any further back.
