More Bushisms

This was at Unity, the convention of more than 6,000 minority journalists that takes place every three to five years:

The first [Bush] moment came when Mark Trahant of the Native American Journalists Association (NAJA) asked him, "What do you think tribal sovereignty means in the 21st century, and how do we resolve conflicts between tribes and the federal and the state governments?"

Said the president, "Tribal sovereignty means that -- it's sovereign. You're a -- you've been given sovereignty, and you're viewed as a sovereign entity. And, therefore, the relationship between the federal government and tribes is one between sovereign entities."

What is this High School? It sounds like the Teacher directed a question to a student that didnt read the book. You know one of those moments when you are supar embarressed for some slacker classmate. Jezuz.

What scares me about him is not that he is malicious or has bad intentions, but that he is stupid and easy confused. Also easily led astray. Dick Cheney *Cough*. Rumsfeld *Cough*. As the leader of the most powerful country. Might as well be Emporer Claudius. I can say Clinton was a great president, but at least he was smart and charismatic, neither qualities seem to exist in Bush.
