Phoenix is...

Pheonix(AKA Firebird) is mozilla browser code that has been revamped, cleaned, and stripped of non-essential features. Mozilla was good, but it just got to sluggish after a while and loaded with extra schtuffen. Phoenix has No mail, no crap, less bloat. They are still in beta mode, but I find that it is as stable as IE. It has all the compatibility (HTML, CSS, XML, DHTML, etc..) of mozilla 1.2 or netscape 7.2, but is a lot faster. It does still have a few quirks, but it is really strong for a 0.5 release. They are trying to put out 0.6, but they are having a name issue. Trademark BS.
