When I was in 7th grade, I got my wisdom teeth pulled. During that opperation, the oral surgeon cut a nerve in my face so that about a quarter of my lower lip is numb. It stayed this way and is numb to this day. It isn't numb like you can poke a needle through it, but just numb enough so that when I am eating, sometimes food will be there and I can't tell. Not trying to one-up you, but I know what it is like to have a numbness.
