Spreadsheet, Clerks, The AT Book: Eject Functionality, NorCal, and Fuckers
Spreadsheet - There should be some more games entered into the spreadsheet cause we are having a small games day of sorts here. Me, Leslie, Heather, Ryan, his co-worker and uber nerd, Brad, maybe Denis and maybe Peter will attend. Hooray!
Clerks - Yeah, it didn't really look that fantastiche. Kinda like it should have happened first, then he learned how to make a better movie, and then filmed the first one second. You know?
The AT Book: Eject Functionality - I think, and this is without actually checking, but remember the Perl script you wrote to reverse all the posts Enron, and all that crap? Well, I THINK, I could have saved you a lot of trouble by simple changing a setting in Blogger as to how to publish the posts, and then re-publish the whole site. I think it would have been a lot easier on you....
NorCal - NorCal is still in progress. We have to stay away from Leslies family because they suck, and the problem with that is where we really WANT to live is Santa Cruz and the surrounding areas, which is off limits because of them. So, our hand is being forced further north, to the SF area, which is still probably too close.
We looked at Pacifica pretty throughly, drove around with an agent and whatnot, and if I didn't know any better, I would say that Pacifica is the Innsmouth of the west coast. Or the San Pedro of the North, take your pick.
It is a blue collar, run down, beach town. Strange. No one really was smiling, except for the scary Info Booth woman, who was TOO happy and nosy. There is a definate vato vibe among the youth, lots of saggin', trucks, and long wallet chains. No kids were really smiling and playing. The place was built up in the 70's and just never really grew past that. No movie theatre, schools are closing, the only place to by clothes is Ross, and yet, it is an AMAZING little pocket of nature. Ocean on one side, and national park on the other, seems like it should be thriving, but what I understand is the city council retards growth initiatives and assures a continued decline.
Yet the houses that were a stones throw from the ocean, with no ocean view, in neighborhoods that looked exactly like old Torrance, or Inglewood, and some of Compton, were on the market in the mid $700k's. FTW? On the market and selling are two different things, but still. Koo koo bananas.
The quest continues. We didn't really get to look at much else with the whole Leslie
s dad getting runover by a motorcyle thing. They caught the kid who did it: 17, with a record, sheriff's son, failed a polygraph saying it was an accident, and when they tracked him down, he was loading the bike that he used to hit him, into a covered truck and was taking the truck to a farm to hide it... Guilty! *sword thrust through the gut*
Fuckers - Fuckers.
