My friend who lives in Alameda says that the east side is nicer than the west and think houses run 550k-600k (maybe). The west side is more up and coming, so not necessarily a real nice area right now, but he says lots of families are moving into the area. Take that with a grain of salt 'cause my friends don't know SHIT!
