Clear Channel = Bush

Besides owning 1200+ radio stations and promoting the gentrification of the US, they also seem to be a bit amiss in morals. I found this quote in by a local new site.

It turns out that most of the pro-war rallies have been organized by and sponsored by Clear Channel Entertainment, under the name of "Rally for America(tm)," in a faux-grassroots campaign known as "astroturfing." Writes The Chicago Tribune, "The sponsorship of large rallies by Clear Channel stations is unique among major media companies, which have confined their activities in the war debate to reporting and occasionally commenting on the news." "I think this is pretty extraordinary," said former Federal Communications Commissioner Glen Robinson, who teaches law at the University of Virginia. "I can't say that this violates any of a broadcaster's obligations, but it sounds like borderline manufacturing of the news."

Hints of things to come? Maybe. But are they bastards? Yes. Beside they suck the fun out of Radio. I hardly even listen to the radio anymore. Just too much crap. In other news: I went and saw Mystic River last night. That is a pretty grim movie. I really liked it. If you get the chance, I suggest you see it. The acting was very good and the storyline has a way of asembling itself as it goes on. There was only one part that really bugged me, but it was at the end and I wont talk about it... Spoiler.

Johnny: If I dont talk to you before Monday, good luck on the GMATs. Gives us a heads up on how you think you did. And remeber, if you have trouble, just get under the table, call Jon with your cell phone and ask him what that word means.

Fuck-fm, kiss pigs.
