| Plan: Coming Together, Love it

- Wisdom teeth: I haz them.  They are all at cool angles, but I haz them and they have not caused me any grief over the years, which is why I make so many great life and career choices - I have +4 Wisdom Teeth.

 - Beer in my backyard:  How about this, Enron - I will pick up the cost of your ticket to the beer bash, if you get a ZipCar, or other such nonsense, and drive it to my house? Do it!

 - Beer in Santa Rosa and Petaluma - We should make a 2 or 3 day beer tour to Lagunitas and Russian River over the holiday break.  We get a room in the middle somewhere (they are like 30 minutes, maybe, apart IIRC) and take day trips to each, drink, eat, drink, get merch, then back to the room for more drink (growlers of Pliny, anyone?) and gamez.  Thoughts?

 - Run For Your Lives - the zombie run in Temecula sold out for Saturday, but they have added Sunday!  The family and I were planning on making a vacation out of it and going to Lego Land, seeing some family, etc. then we realized that Wylie will be in like 'real school' and you don't just take your kids out of real school for vacations, so we put the kibosh on that plan.

That being said, anyone in for a zombie run trek to Temecula on Oct 21?  Maybe drive down on Friday or Saturday the day before, to Temecula on Sunday for the run, and either back to NorCal (or SoCal, if that's where you live I guess...) that day, or take Monday off and have a more leisurely drive up?

Pliers! Yeeeegh! Nice to get it over quickly, though.

Rude, you never know with Wisdom teeth. The wife also has all hers. Since she has an underbite they seem to be in there happily enough. I got mine all pulled at once in my early 20s (then taped them to the Earthdawn GM screen). Nasty business, I got lazy flushing out the cavities after a week or so and the smell was atrocious.

I love the random aside in Cryptonomicon where nobody will operate on the main char's wisdoms because the roots are in so deep they're snarled around parts of his brain.
Hey look, an article about Strand Brewing Company in the LA Times. I think Eric is friends with one of them, or maybe that's a different company.

I've never had my wisdom teeth out! Is that something EVERYONE has to eventually get done? I've been dreading it since I was a kid.

We went a bought a new refrigerator for the house we're moving into next week. I'm so used to living in either apartments or my parents house, I'm overwhelmed by all the furniture you have to come up with to furnish a decent sized house. We have a pool, so I'm stoked over that more than anything else.

In gaming news, the Summoner Wars app is due out any day now on iOS. It got submitted last week, so maybe Monday or so. I'm stoked that I'll be able to stomp Johnny after he left us hanging on Hero Academy! ;)

| SAFETY NOT GUARANTEED

Just saw this 'indie' flick last night with the wifey. Pretty good! We laughed a lot. Pretty funny to see a big screen movie created out of what started off as an internet joke / meme. See: SAFETY NOT GUARANTEED Only semi-gripe I had about the movie was that they didn't include "Take It To The Limit" in the movie someplace. Would have been an epic tribute. Even if it was just playing on the radio in the background in some scene, or maybe as the credit-theme. Anyway, would recommend! In other news, had my remaining wisdom tooth removed yesterday morning. I was prepared for the worst (it had a cavity and significant decay, so all the dentist people were talking about possible fracturing / splintering and other negatory shizz). When I sat down, the dude numbed me up with a few shots (NEVER works the first attempt for me, but this guy was nails). Then, he says, "well, let's try some pressure on it and see what we get!" (cue the pliers). One quick grip/tug here, another quick tug there and he pulls the pliers out.. I'm thinking great, gonna have to get in there with a pair of pliers and a blow torch. But no! He says, "Well, that's it!" Me: "..." lol. He said he could put it back in and take it out again if I wanted more show for my money and I told him no thanks, lol. Been popping L-Lysine amino acids like candy (amino acid your body uses to repair soft tissues). Haven't had to take any pain pills except a couple of tylenol yesterday afternoon. The worst part about the whole thing has been the restricted food list. Couldn't eat anything but cold liquids the first 24 hours.. so I put down 1 x 32oz chocolate-espresso shake in about 5 minutes, then we stopped at the next coffee shack (they're everywhere here, lol) and got another one, this time without any caffeine (downed three shots' worth in the first one, haha). This morning I got some oatmeal and I just had a snack of soft crab meat. Finally, some real food. Anyway, that's my story and I'm sticking to it.

| It's quiet... TOO quiet.

(Rocket explodes)

What all are people up to? Radio silence lately.

Brief updates:
* Infant is crawling. Jeebus.
* Work is crazy. Oy.
* GenCon is right around the corner. Hooray!
* Thinking about picking up an airbrush to expedite painting my sweet, sweet minis. Fsssssh!

That pretty much covers it.

Anyone sign up for this Kickstarter for Mike McVey's new minis boardgame? It's 40x past its goal, the stretch goals just keep getting blown through, and now there's now just a LUDICROUS amount of stuff in the box. Something like 99 pretty nice minis in the base box right now, and who knows what all they'll throw in at the last second.

| Back from the Beach

Just got back from Kauai last night and I'm already back to work! Honeymoon was great. We over indulged in food and drink almost every night, but we also did a f-ton of activities. That place is rad and if it wasn't so damn expensive to fly out there, I'd love to go a lot more often. Meth is a scary drug, and hey, you get to see it's effects all over the place. Ryan, how's the Hawaiian Ice situation over in Maui? There were times where you'd feel equally uncomfortable from super rich golf dudes and then super sketchy meth peeps. Fun time!

Thanks for making the wedding super awesome everyone! Thank you all for the sweet gifts and great company. Aaron, your pics came out awesome. You should do that stuff full-time!

My mind is still super sun-burned but life will settle back into some kind of normaltude sooner or later. We're  moving in a few weeks, so that's the next crummy adventure. THEN I hope things settle down.

Someone in my cube or immediately adjacent just laid a nasty, nasty fart.

That is all.

| Mmmm... beeeeeeeer

Man I'd love to do that. Stupid time-space continuum. :(
Aeryk - I got pretty excited about that beer festival and even asked Matt Z if he'd like to go. Then I realized it's on my anniversary weekend...

But in the alternate universe where men celebrate anniversaries with the groomsmen, not their wives, I'm totally in.

We'll have to have a make-up festival at your apt sometime...

| Aptos Beer Festival!

Beeeeeeer

This is the festival that's in the park essentially in my backyard.  We can booze it up (all you can drink samples), eat some BBQ, and stumble back home to sleep/barf it off.  Who's with me this year?!?!

Last year was a blast all by my self, and I think it would only be better with some other drunken morons that I know and love, to blackout with.

Sorry, it's 3:30 or nothin'! :)

I have become absolutely obsessed with Doomtown again, specifically finding my missing cards. I absolutely have NO idea where the fuck the 1/3 of my collection with all my Dudes and faction starters is? :( Anybody have a stray set around?

Went through ALL the unpacked storage boxes I've got at the apt, and this weekend searched the closet in my old bedroom... no dice.

Man I really went balls-deep into that game. I started entering the cards I DO still have into a spreadsheet (obsessed!) and assuming the current ratio holds, I had something like 85% of the cards in the range.

I even started looking into the cost of replacing my missing cards. It would be... cost prohibitive. It would be really cool if FFG got the rights and rereleased it Living Card Game style. Alas, it appears AEG still has the rights and is not relinquishing them, they need to focus on releasing more L5R for fat dicks.
Had some tacos at rudy mamas house.  One of his nephews who called him uncle rudy (how cute, aww)  gave us a musical concert in the living room.  Reminded me a little of a Christmas carol in the living room thing.  then I went home and just slept...

Have a safe flight home Jon hombre.  Btw you and janice are totally welcome over.  I heard one of you say how about 3:30 AM and I was joking as reactionary saying "not THAT welcome", but you know, as long as it's not 3:30 AM, you are totally always welcome.  Anyways, no need for further explans.

I can't believe that was just yesterday! Congrats man, great ceremony and really fun reception. Bonus points for the awesome live Latin ensemble!

And yes Ja-El, I was wiped the eff out afterwards. I collapsed the second I got home and didn't move for two hours
