| Day 2 Summary Recap

Day 2 was another great day of BB! The match was a teeth grinder all the way though. First half started with the Orks winning the coin toss and electing to recieve first. However, bad die rolling plagued both teams from the get-go, with Rudy quickly blowing 3 rerolls within a matter of a few turns. The Orks also had their fair share of cursed die rolls, if not more. Ork Blitzers tried dodging out of tackle zones 3 times, needing only a 1 or a 2 to succeed, but dismally failed in all their attempts, tripping over the soft and plushy lizard tails. The orks also failed to pick up the ball with no one around on several crucial moments.

As Rudy mentioned, not having purchased any team rerolls didnt' help, and in a way it was deserved. However, in Orks defense, they are a pretty expensive team to field, and electing to choose better quality players over rerolls is a concious decision. In a long campaign, this works, as rerolls can be purchased subsequently, however, missed SPP points cannot be regained.

Anyway, the first half had all sorts of crazy difficulties keeping possession of the ball. In one wierd event, the ball bounced around through no less than 10 adjacent squares!

Second half turned out to be much more exciting for the crowd! Shaking off the nervous game jitters, both teams looked better, like seasoned rookies and not thumb-sucking retards . Rudy scored in 3 turns with a cohesive and well planned strike on the right side, and his skinks laid a nice protective path.

Even though the Orks played a full defensive position with 6 players in the back field, slowed their adversaries an extra round, but could not prevent the lizards from zig-zagging their way into the end-zone.

The damage to the dino-lizards is obvious though. At this point several of the skinks and lizards were badly injured. The Orks initially fumbled the ball, but recovered, and with a well connected pass-handoff-run, scored! With 2 turns remaining, rudy was down to 3 skinks, 1 kroxigar, and 3 lizardmen. Had there been more turns, the dino-lizards would have been in deep trouble. The game sounded in the nick of time saving the dino lizards from certain fate.

End score 1-1

Jon- it's up to you to stop Eric and his chaotic lot. Hand him his first LOSS. doit! Just be careful he doesn't pull some BB magic and do some crazy hynotic shit. Ayght?
