Yeah, I checked out the process from the Blizznard website and it was legit. So, after three failed attempts (the first they lost one page of the fax, the second the photocopy and fax of the DL was too dark, and the third the photocopy was too dark again) I have finally unlocked my account! Huzzargh!

Evidently nothing changed with any of my characters, I was in the same place as when I was kicked off the server, so apparently all is well. That was a fun experience.
