Michelle goes in for pre-surgery prep at 6:45am tomorrow morning and will be having the mass removed between 8-10am. We'll be staying overnight and I'll likely be mostly out of touch until sometime Wednesday or Thursday depending on how things go. When I'm able, I'll let everyone know how things are. Any positive vibes are appreciated.

Yeah, the last fight was pretty booty. You know, one thing I've always kinda hated about action movies is "the last big fight." It's usually always at NIGHT and more than not its RAINING. Least they did this during the day hahaha. A few movies do it right, but for the most part, I'm always let down in the last big fights (im thinking all the van damme and seagal movies, etc.)
But yeah, you never really got a straight-up shot of the bots fighting. I guess that's a michael bay thing. Everythings all hectic and all over the place. You know what's kinda weaksauce? I guess Hugo Weaving did the voice for Megatron, but the original voice actor tried out for it. Guess Michael Bay made all the OG voice actors audition and he felt the original megatrons voice was too high/pitchy for the way he envisioned megatron. Bummer. Least they got the original Optimus Prime voice actor. That was cool. (And I guess the og megatron dude got to do the voice in the video game, LOL, stay broke bee-atch.)

I hear you, I do. I thought the effects were totally kick ass. I guess I was just hoping to be able to see more detail in the battles between individual Transformers. Like the bumblebee fight..? And most importantly the MOST IMPORTANT FIGHT OF TEH MOVIE!!! Weren't you at least minimally disappointed that you didn't get any big payoff between Megatron and Optimus Prime? I dunno, I guess I was expecting something epic, like a huge knock down drag out 10 minute fight. Instead, we got what, two gun shots and a trip through a building and the rest was done off camera. Hell the fight between Optimus Prime and the freeway guy (forget who that was) was *WAY* friggin' better than the Megatron thing at the end.
Anyway. It was still a good flick, and I totally recommend anyone and everyone to go see it. But, do so understanding what you're going to see. Huge beautiful CG fest, product-placement & corny/hokey acting movie. Oh, and one SMOKIN' HOT chick. Meeow!

Snapetimus killed Dumbletron!
Yeah, just saw it today too! I liked it! Wasn't expecting much, and I was entertained. I dunno, I've seen a LOT worse acting in shit, so didn't really rub me the wrong way. Product placement shit? Hmm... gets on my nerves, but I just tried to block it out. Don't think I'd wanna see it again for a LONG time - was just so busy and overstimulating. But now talkin to some friends about it, I think i'll see it again someday. And the fuckin transformers were BAD ASS. When they were fighting through the city and changing etc, fuckin coooool.
I liked how even tho it was PG-13, it seemed to push that limit a few times. Like the classic PG 80's movies like Ghostbusters and Goonies etc... it's not like those movies, but it felt adult enough for me considering its based on toys. And i liked Bernie Macs part and John Turturo is just fuckin funny as shit.
OH MAN, you see the trailer for the next Cohen Bros movie? Looks cool... like fargo-ish. Dark, not like the last couple stinkers they made. Trailer!!!

So I went and saw Transformers today. Not bad, not bad, I guess.. but a bit disappointing, yeah. The effects were amazing and the CG was top notch (all done by industrial light & magic, as I understand it). The plot and acting, however... holy sweet baby Jesus.. so bad, corny and hokey. Even with that bad script, I would have given it an A- or B+ still, except for the last expected 'epic' battle between Optimus Prime and Megatron was.. well.. just not there. All this huge build up and then ... no payoff. Kinda strange.
Anyway. Probably worth seeing in the theater, just go with limited expectations.
AND.. last night, took the wifey to see "Knocked Up", done by the same folks who did 40 Year Old Virgin, I guess. We laughed the entire time.. it was very, very funny. Not exactly a pinnacle achievement in film making history, no. But there is definitely no shortage of laughs. Good times.

I can't believe I used to eat this crap
Tonight I was possessed by a bizarre urge to eat a Quarter Pounder with Cheese. So I did. It was the first one I've had in, like, seven years. My throat and stomach feel like I hosed them down with grease!
Still had that decent cheese-and-ketchup taste that I used to love, tho. I'd hit it again.

I love paying for other peoples' fuckups with my worthless time
The day before holidays, my company lets out between 12:00-1:00 PM. Funnily enough that often doesn't work out for my department. Instead, I'm sitting here on my ass while the fuckups in software try to get a build together.
Gee, it's awfully nice that their group decided to start doing overtime, considering that the product is shipping in, oh, a week and a half. Especially since my department has been doing a shitload of it, mostly to test their builds which, because they throw them together at the end of the day and then scramble outta here to relax on their fucking software yachts or whatever, usually, no always, completely suck ass.

- My belt holds my pants up, but the belt loops hold my belt up. I don't really know what's happening down there. Who is the real hero?
- I was in the Doctor's waiting room and this woman starts talking to me:
She says "What are you here for?"
I say "Hemorrhoids"
She says "Is that why you're sitting on that bean bag?"
I say "Look again"
- When I was a kid my parents used to tell me, "Emo, don't go near the cellar door!"
One day when they were away, I went to the door and opened it... and I saw birds and trees...
- "I saw Bobby Petersen from Grade school the other day, I hugged him and said how happy I was to see him, then he started to cry and I realized... Bobby would have grown up by now."

Thought this was pretty great. Sorry, I would have just linked to it, but it's in a private forum. Yes, it's a gigantic post. Sorry in advance.
=====================
So today while coming home from work on Man O'War (anyone from Lexington, KY will know the road) I witness one of those new Nissan Z's zipping back and forth between the two lanes of traffic, cutting people off, speeding up, slowing down and just all around driving like a jackass.
I'm about 4 car lengths behind this guy in my van, in the left lane.
This kid (he looked around 21 or so) is apparantly testing out the horsepower in his new car. It's a dark blue Z, shiny.. looked fresh off the lot though I didn't see the sticker in it and he had a plate.
Anyways, he keeps hitting his brakes really hard (causing traffic behind him to slow way down) and then gunning it.. I guess to test the accelleration.
Bottom line was, at the first light we came too, he exchanged some words and a middle finger with a guy in a jeep behind him. (I was still about 3 lengths behind, in the left lane.. he was in the right at this time.)
Continuing further, he keeps cutting back and forth, left to right. The two cars in front of me slow way down so this guy has plenty of room to do his tricks and not get creamed.
My turn is coming up in another 3 lights so I decide to get in the right lane. I get behind the jeep that had exchanged words with the kid.. he turned right at the next light. That makes me right behind this kid.
So along comes the next stop, and the kid decides, with about 100 feet to go, he needs to be in the left lane like NOW. So he guns it, slides right in front of the guy in the left lane.
P.S. - His music is really loud too, classic rules-the-world kid.
At this point my Ogre brain starts scheming.. mean and nasty thoughts of inflicting pain and anguish into him, etc start entering my brain.
Well I'm too old to be shouting at people anymore and since I've been diagnosed with an adrenaline drip, I've made a conscious effort to not yell, cuss and want to fight now.
So instead...... I scheme..
We come up to the next light. I'm one car behind him, in the right lane, 3 cars back from the light. He's two cars back from the light in the left lane. A maroon van of some sort is in front of him.
Our light is red, so we all stop. There's a left turning lane. The guy is diddy-bopping to his music being all big and bad, looking down at his dash messing with something.
Suddenly it came to me.
When the left turning light came on and the traffic started moving.. I honked.
Sure enough, the kid catching the traffic to his left moving forward, didn't pay attention and went..
Right into the back of the van stopped at the red light.
I heard a "WHAT THE F&*K" out of his window, our light turned green, and off I went.
People are right.
Think smarter, not harder.

Tracy Morgan is a funny dude. I gotta watch that show more often -- I saw it once and thought it was pretty hilarious.
A Sidekick is cool, I guess -- but c'mon man, the iPhones are coming out in four days! That's how you really impress the tech-savvy, bleeding edge mass consciousness that is The Action Team. $500 worth of impressment! That's a lot of impressment.
