Rod Stewart

I forgot to tell everyone, I saw Rod Stewart at Staples Center this tuesday. Don't ask, but in a nutshell Leslie's friends from Utah (Ogden, ugh) are HUGE fans and the husband, Kurt, has a dirt company that does the motocross for Staples Center. So, the guy that he works with at Staples, in exchange for some motocross tickets which Kurt has, offered Kurt his choice of events to go to at Staples, and Rod was it...

We had parking paid for in the closest lot, 7th row seats, four tickets for food that included ANY four items per person we wanted, including beer and mixed drinks, and to top it all off, Holly (Kurt's wifE) caught a soccer ball that Rod kicked to the fans during the show, it was signed and they sold it for $100 bucks before we left our seats.

We also ate at the Pantry. Anyone know about this place? Open 24/7/365, been open since 1920-something, has NEVER been closed in all those years for any reason, and has always had at least one customer in the restaurant for all those years. There are all sorts of other interesting tid-bits about the place that you can get in a booklet they had out. The doors have no locks because it never closes!

The food was somewhat rank, and the menu is very limited. FYI, if you order a hamburger, you get a mound of chipped/ ground beef and some hashbrowns on a plate. no bun, lettuce, or anything like that. Also, along with your bread to munch on before your meal, you get coleslaw(?). Check this review?
