Here is my contribution to your (our) quest for cash. In my office, there are really good business men. 100's of millions of dollars of total net worth businessmen. They know what they are doing. Right now, some of them are doing a website called consciousone, this site does online self-help/spirituality classes with known authors. From what I have picked up, here are the ingredients for success:

1) Viral Marketing
2) Databases of emails of interested people
3) Worthwhile content for your target
4) Money

So at least we have the guidelines, now we just need the rest of it.... but rest assured, I'm in. And if we have a great idea, the guys in my office will give us money and take control over 60 - 90% of the company, but hey, some money is some money!
