Ugh. WHY!? For an ironic trip to Tosche Station to pick up some power converters, with a pit stop for a little blue milk along the way? Maybe they'll have to rescue Boba Fett from the sarlacc pit since he's the only man who get can them out of whatever galactic jam they find themselves in? Is Luke going to teach his kids to shoot womp rats in the old T16 in a way that will evoke maximum nostalgia?

Or maybe they just need to pick up the still-smoking skeletons of Aunt Beru and Uncle Jim Nabors (I can't remember his real name). Actually if Han insisted they mount them on the Millenium Falcon it'd be pretty rad.
I'm sorta like that with comics too sometimes, burning through dialog and not really getting the complete picture, but I just gotta recommend this set because so far these books are REALLY good. You can drop the minimum and still get a few fantastic books. Or not! It's just such an insane deal money wise it blows me away.

There was already a picture from turkey or wherever they shot the tatotieen stuff with JJ there, so enjoy!

That's an intriguing bundle for sure... although I have so little time and so much other stuff to read, I'm a little hesitant to pull the trigger. I'm an idiot at reading comic books anyway. I read all the words while barely looking at the pictures and then wonder why I had so much trouble following the story. * idiot *

I'm tentatively hopeful about S7ar Wars. I mean, I want to believe again, but Abrams seems like a dude who excels at pastiche and individual moments more than being an actual storyteller. I hope it's great, I don't think it will be as bad as the prequels, but in my gut I think it's going to end up like the Marvel movies and be fun to watch while browsing the Internet on your phone, but forgettable. I want to be wrong!

I hope they skip fucking Tatooine for once. That was not a place we needed to visit in 5/6 of the Star Wars films.

| Humble

The new Humble Bundle for Image comics is KILLER. The only book I'm familiar with other than Walking Dead is LAZARUS and it's a fantastic comic. I recently bought issue one on comixology and was about to buy the rest but lo and behold here's the first collection for $1+ (I went $10 to unlock the higher tier titles other than Walking Dead - read a bunch already so don't need those volumes). Holy shit, get it for Lazarus if nothing else. (It's a dystopian near future post economic collapse- rad book!)

I'm actually excited for the new Star Wars.

I dig the new Star Tracks and fuck ya Larry Kasdan.

| If only they were drawn as ponies too

Princesses Anna and Elsa from Frozen would be good contenders too as they are both socially isolated, awkward shut-ins. I can also tell you with certainty that Anna is D2F.

Too awesome!

Smashmouth! Hahaha. "And follow it up with an ice-cold Mountain Dew, so refreshing!"

Oh man, I wish I was in LA in June to go to this -- Steven Seagal marathon, hosted by that film critic Vern. This is the first time he's ever appeared in public, nobody knows what he looks like or anything.

That really is a hilarious video.
Happy Easter to all the gang.

I rented Wolf of Wall Street yesterday and it was good. Didn't blow me away like I hoped it would, but it was entertaining. I kind of agree with some of the controversy surrounding the movie about them not portraying the main dude as shitty as he really was. I mean, yeah, he's "shitty", but it just felt too much on his side of things. Fuck that guy.

I went glamping camping with Dorian and our friend Genai this weekend out in Topanga Canyon. It was really fun! I haven't been old-fashioned camping in awhile. The only bummer about the site was that it didn't allow any campfire or bbq. You were allowed to use stoves, but that's about it. So we cooked some great meals, but once it got dark, there wasn't much reason to stay up. I'm totally not used to going to bed soon after the sun sets. Weird. But it was a beautiful area and we took a few rad hikes. You also had to hike-in about 1 mile through a pretty hardy-trail, so we ended up having the entire campground to ourselves the whole weekend.

Beer: I really liked a beer I brought on the camping trip: Samuel Adams Rebel IPA. Yeah, that's some mainstream shit, but it tasted great! It had drawrings of hops on the bottle, so I was hoping for that taste, and sure enough, it was hoppy and citrusy. I really enjoyed it. I don't know if that's similar to me telling you guys to listen to SMASHMOUTH or something, but it was a totally legit brewsky and I stand by my recommendation.

That video is hilarious! That little hot dog makes me laugh even before anything happens to it.

I'm glad you went for that one! Are you going for the rules for the mini game too? It sounds interesting.

I pledged for the new edition of Super Dungeon Expore. Why!?

In other news, Hearthstone's out for iPad! Uses the same login, and your old cards will still be there (they didn't wipe it).

I've been playing a couple games a day of it pretty consistently and still kinda suck at it, but I did finally manage a 6-win arena run by leveraging probably the first piece of information I ever learned about the game: the Hunter's card that summons all the dogs is really good.

| Turbotax Online to the Rescue

Not sure if that's the real name, or if I made it up, but last year we used it and it RULED.  We had gone to HR Blocksuckers for a few years prior and each time it felt like we were paying waaaay too much in taxes.  Like thousands too much.  Anyway, after moving to Turbotax we actually got something back, and this year we got a bunch more back, and we did it like 2 months ago.

The moral of the story is yay for me, and to hell with you.  But don't worry, you'll all get your chance when we're audited in 6 years...

Newz and Notez:

 - I'm trying to round out my project management skillz by training for the PMP, no that's not PiMP, it's the Project Management Professional certification.  It is so far the blurst.  I mean, sure it's good to know the official names of some of the stuff that I do anyway (balanced organizational matrix, anyone?), but I swear like many other certifications, it's just intentionally obtuse in order to increase the difficulty so the cert companies can make mo cash off of training and books.

 - Been watching Ripper Street on Netflix.  I thought it would be all about Jack the Ripper (at surfing), and there is a tie, but it's mostly a sort of period, procedural, police drama.  I like that era, and it's a pretty smart show, though rough around the edges.  I recommend.

 - So I kickstarted MERCs.  What an idiot.
