Johnny, I don't know if I had some new aged surgery compared to what you had, but she took the packing out the very next day and I could breathe normally. There are no straws or coagulated blood to speak of, just a little swelling. During surgery, she made an incision in my left nostril which was 90% closed, broke the bone underneath, and reset the cartilage. My left side had 60% closure, so basically she just evened out my cartilage. She put in like 4 dissolving stitches, and I have to do a sinus rinse at least 3 times a day for a couple of weeks. But aside from that, the worst part has been my throat, recovering from my tonsils being removed. The nose has been no big deal.

You said you'll be back in the Bay Area next month, do you think I live up in SF, or did you mean South Bay? My parents still live in Manhattan Beach and again, that is where I am staying. I guess you can look at my nose if you want, but I don't think you would really see anything. If you have questions, why don't I just give you the name and number of this doctor, and you can call her. She probably could tell you way more about your specific case than I can.

Rude, she said this should be permanent surgery as long as I don't break my nose again or gain tons of weight. If I don't do either of those, I should have positive effects from this for a very long time. If you have good insurance, VERY worth it.

Ok.
