| Boba Loca

Ok - I just stopped by the local boba franchise on aviation. The decor was alright, but nothing out the ordinary. To me it was kind of a starbucks knockoff decor? and the menu even looked like more of a coffee shop. I saw Boba listed on maybe two of the items on the chalkboard. I ordered a blueberry fusion - was really strong, which was good actually - if I added some water to dilute it, I think it wouldn't have been so sweet.

I think i'm more used to the tradional Boba Milk Tea you would find in Irvine, or even Tapioca express in Gardena. My favorite place is a place called Quickly. I'm undecided if I like Boba loca or not. Apparently by the crowd size, the boba fever is gone, at least here in southbay.

Wow, I don't remember ever seeing the pool but I remember those damn tents! I'm gonna bring my trunks and swim everyday, why not.

Does, the hotel have a pool? Yes. Unfortunately, Boobla Khan sometimes uses the "Pool Pavilion" setup right next to the pool. In past years this tent has played host to the flea markets, thank the lord that stopped that, and LARPS. Who knows what it will be used for this year. The Boobla Khan guide makes no mentions of it in the schedule this year, so maybe it will be unused. Then again, you might get seduced by an obfuscated LARP vampyre and end up with some form of White Wolf Syphilis.

So glad it's Friday. Done with this week. Ack...

Does the hotel have a pool!?

Fuck, I'm sick. At least it's the week BEFORE Kubla so hopefully it should go away soon. I've gotten more colds this year than I have in the previous two years combined. A harbinger of things to come, or pure coincidence? Who knows and more importantly, who cares?

I've got a half day on Friday and come over that night but this year I said fuck it and burned a vacation day. So I'm in the mix starting Thursday night. I'll be ready to r**k the f**k out with my f**king c**k o*t ready to r**e some fuck**g s**t d**e.

Since it seems like everyone will be there that night, I think we should play some Rogue Trader first thing on Friday!

The Rouge Trader official character sheets don't let you type the stuff on the pdf (as far as I can tell) so I'll have to print it out and work on it during the week. Searching around I found this stuff:
Tools which includes a character generator. I'm going to see if I can input my rolls and get it to work that way.
edit: doesn't let you change the random rolls, oh well!

The Library of Congress contains roughly 1,199 kilometers of books. Assume that each shelf is roughly 30cm by 30cm, you get a volume of roughly 107,910 m3. To fill that volume with barrels of oil...

A barrel of oil is 42 US Gallons, or 0.158987294928 m3. So, you need 6.29 barrels to get 1 m3.

So we should need about 678,753 barrels of oil to constitute one library of congress.

So, at a rate of 4 barrels per second, there is a library of congress worth of oil being dumped into the Gulf about every 47 hours.

Portal is free till the 24th on Steam! I think it's publicity for Portal 2 AND for Steam now being on Mac and all the games working on both systems. So, having only played the 360 version, I'm totally stoked! That's pretty boss.

Regrettably, I do not posses said Malifaux. I've looked at it, but have yet to pull the trigger. Don't know if I can get an order delivered before the con. Might be a challenge... hmmm...

I would like to pick the rogue trader, if that is ok thank you very much. I believe I will lead our ship to many victories and so on and so forth. If you are not to feel that is appropo, then I will accept a differnt position such as Senschal or even perhaps some may say, and lastly I would have to say, I would be a navigator, no disrespect.
