I hope you guys can join me and numerous other nice persons at the Poop Deck this year! As always, we will be there Christmas Eve (tomorrow) starting at approximately 3:00. We typically hang out until about 6:00 or so. It's a nice way to get in some relaxing time during the otherwise hectic holidays. Do it!
I picked up a couple of games today for cheapz0rs. One was Machinarium, a very fun and stylish adventure game. Seems worth the ten bones so far. I also bought Torchlight through Steam for $10 as well. Rude, you played that, right? I've heard nothing but good things about it so far so looking forward to trying that one.

Spark of WoW interest....
1) My co-worker is a SERIOUS 2v2 and 3v3 player, and he's in the guild. Like, serious.
2) We have a 10 man ventrillo server.
3) Paladins are probably the strongest single class there is. BUT REMEMBER, certain class and class-combos are just better at beating others, which means SOMETIMES you will get pwned. Also, you will be beat by people with better gear, so get used to it!
4) I'm a priest, and we have another really good priest and pally healer in the guild. If you wanna be the boss, run the show, and yell at other people for not doing their jobs right, you should roll a protection warrior, protection pally, or feral druid and be a tank.
5) I think you are underestimating the challenge and thrill of doing heroic dungeons and raids, not to mention the sweet gear drops and achievements...
6)I'm leveling a protection warrior right now, pretty easily. They have really made the trip from 1 - 70 fairly quick.
7) You can do a faction and server transfer of your character for a fee of I think $30 each (so $60 total: $30 for faction, and $30 for server) if you are interested in that.
8) Did you play to 80? I thought you quit at the 60 cap.
9) Here's a link to my main toon Acererak! Check 'The Old Guard' guild link from my toon profile and look at 'Black' for the arena pro of the guild.
10) Do it!

Interested in doing some serious Arena 2v2? 3v3 or 5v5? that's the only way I'll play that game. Evar. but I wonder if that's already overdone and there's not much to explore on that. Plus my characters on a totally different server so grinding my guy up to 80 again would be the suck unless there's some serious noob Pleveling and goodies from ur guildies and if we use voice chat programs.
oh oh oh and if you give me a million bucks.
And if you get blizzard to make paladins better. (but i'd probably restart as a priest just because this won't happen and priests or druids are waaay better at healing)
And if you get rudy to play his druid again so I can smite him with my paladin.
I'd probably also have to buy a new 20" LCD and a desktop, but that would be refreshing from this laptop so i would do that on my own.

I have cable now and have also watched some horrible shows. More often than not though I lean towards science/history/food programming which isn't too offensive. I do try to catch MTV's Jersey Shore though because that is possibly the best bit of reality television ever. I can't describe it but it is the ultimate. So good. Oh god, one day when I first got cable I got sucked into this horrible marathon of Intervention and Hoarders... my soul was so drained after that. Don't do fucking drugs or keep moldy newspapers in your house, that's horrible.
Eric is the king of WoW! Where were you when me and Johnny were the big addicts!? I'm still into console gaming. Assassin's Creed 2 is really awesome, as is Dragon Age. I'll give WoW another trial pretty soon and I'll check out that server. Everytime I do though, my interest fades sooner and sooner. It's all about being in a guild, so that's rad you're getting to see that side of things.

Two Douches Break Stuff: The Series
I saw about 7 minutes of the episode where they break a carnival up. It was some of the worst TV ever.
My 7 minutes in summation: "Carnivals have attractions, one of them is the fortune teller machine, it is made of wood, metal and glass. Can these guys use their feet to kick this machine apart? Let's find out! (man kicks glass with foot, shattering the glass, replayed in slo-mo from different angles, 5 - 9 times) Yes!"
I have been playing a lot of WoW and having a blast. Level 80 is a totally different beast altogether, playing in a guild with folks that are nice and run dungeons is totally fun, and the new patch that dropped last week that gives cross-server random dungeon groups has changed the face of the game in very significant, and fun ways. If you are at all interested in picking it up again, I'm on a pvp server "Bonechewer", on the horde side, and have two active characters Acererak and Robbase. Leveling is a breeze now too, and you can get mounts at lvl 20!
I know I'm just spinnin' my wheels here, but I gotta try, right?
Denis is in the guild, but Dragon Age has kept Kasiopaeia at level 23 for some time now... :)

I feel dumb
I spent a LOT of time yesterday watching the G4 network, aka the Ninja Warrior Channel. Also saw a show where two guys just destroy stuff (they spent yesterday's episode ripping apart a tour bus). What the hell?

I don't even know what that is, but fuck it, I'll take one!
So this weekend the ladyfriend and I went to Tahoe to scout wedding locations. The good news is I think we found somewhere pretty good! Basically it's two houses, one big, one small, with a big-ass lawn in between them, and a view of the lake, if you kind of squint and look to one side. It seems pretty ideal because if the weather is great like it typically is that time of year, the lawn will be awesome, but if everything is horribad, then the inside is pretty big too and will be large enough to support the relatively small wedding we are planning (roughly 75 people). Plus the house has a MAMMOTH TV (like, 60" or something ludicrous) that I expect will make for some epic Rock Band. Or porn viewing. We'll which way things go.
The bad news though was the weather. We knew a storm was supposed to come over the Rockies, but the weather channels all said that was coming in the evening, so since we were planning on getting out yesterday by one, we thought we were covered. Instead, as we were on our way to the property, it started flurrying.
D'oh!
By the time we left the property it was starting to snow pretty good. Neither of us has ever driven in snow before so this was not that rad. We made tracks to the freeway, but by the time we got there, it was snowing HARD, and cars were starting to skid all the fuck around the place. The freeway was totally stopped.
Us: "Fuck it, we need chains."
So we went and paid an exorbitant amount for chains and I somehow fumbled them on with the assistance of a friendly local. All the time concerned that I was fucking up the installation and that my actions would lead to our grisly demise and that shortly I would be simultaneously burning and freezing to death at the bottom of some horrid ravine. At the time we were parked on a snow covered parking lot next to the highway where people were constantly sliding and banging into each other, which added some texture.
Anyway finally we got things sorted out and got on the freeway. Where we waited at a dead standstill for about an hour next to the sign reading: "Donner Pass 1 Mile." My morbid jokes about the upcoming cannibalism fest were not well received I must say.
Finally we got moving at which point we did the roughly 60 mile crawl over the mountainous pass with extremely limited visibility at about 25 mph. Meaning it was about a two and a half hour journey. It was hardcore. I must admit the ladyfriend did all the driving (I volunteered to take over at several points, but she started it and wanted to finish it). My main job was frequently getting out of the car to tear all the snow and ice off of the windshield and wiper blades. Mostly it was very quiet except for the trundle of the chains on the road, and occasionally the sound of some retard zooming by at 65 mph in their SUV. It was kind of beautiful though. Really it was my first time in that kind of weather. At one point I saw a truck someone had abandoned that was half buried in snow.
After we got off the mountain we went to Islands. Islands, what the fuck! I haven't been there in years. Then I took over and drove home in a mammoth rainstorm in the dark.
All in all, an awesome day of driving!

Oogle Gave
Rude: I would be interested too. I am quite curious to see how the product works. It could be a great tool.
