You should have a friend distribute flyers in Strategicon about a grand opening date and 10 % disconunt flyers. Maybe even do a membership points redemption program for frequent buyers.

Thanks Mike, and best of luck finishing up your phd! That's a friggin' awesome achievment, and we know you'll knock it out in time! I know what you're saying about just cruising around in Vice City - nothin wrong with that! My own site is:

It's so great they you guys are doing so well! As you might imagine, for me the panic has really set in... one might even call it PhDschrek ! I keep getting threatening emails from the University and I'll be out of a home on October 1. It's bad, and I'm working these fabulous hours, but I believe I might just get it done on schedule so that I can get the fuck out of here and come home. Not that I'll be able to do anything with my degrees or anything, but, at least I won't be so far away... Well, that's all my news. Wish I was going to Klub-a-thon - Maybe next year. Did you guys get the volunteer offer for TrueDungeon? Sounds like perhaps it's not going to be at SOCAL, if, indeed there is a SOCAL GenCon. Righto. Sleep for me now, perhaps preceeded by some relaxing driving in Vice City. (Sad but true that I actually just drive around, not even running traffic lights - guess I'm just losing it...)

AOL is Ass On Line
Ja-El: Get rid of it! Copy the "You've got mail" sound file from the AOL directory. Delete the program. Use some other mail service, like maybe your actionteam email and set up Outlook Express or better yet Thunderbird for POP3 action and you can still access your mail via webmail if necessary. BTW, Tbird or other alternative email clients are less susceptable to virus infected mail since a lot of virii are specifically written to circumvent MS product security safeguards. Finally, access the windows sound control panel and apply the "You've got mail" sound file to the appropiate program/action. Problem solves and AOL will be out of your back pocket.

I only went to Video Archives a few times with Rich and Elrock, but I still kinda remember the guy. Anyway, maybe I will give the movies a whirl. Tonight I am going to try and see a documentary called Supersize Me. A SF Int'l film festival movie about a who decides he is going to eat only at McDonalds for a month. I guess his body just starts falling apart on him. I can not even image a month of McDirty's. Yuck!

Kill Bill 2 was much better than the first.
Here's how the movies break down. Vol. 1 is about The Bride setting off on her quest o' vengeance. Sounds good on paper, and I liked the movie, but it's a rocky start because there aren't tons of tense moments, surprises, or bits of character development, and those things are basically Tarantino's trademarks. Ultimately it comes off a little flat for most people.
Vol. 2 is all payoff. There are some very tense moments and there's much more emphasis on the characters. I mean, this is still a movie about international assassins, not a character study, but within that context they are developed as much as I could have wanted. The fights are better-staged, and resolve in interesting ways.
I would say that strictly speaking you don't have to see Vol. 1. In fact, there's a big plot twist in Vol. 2 which might work better if you haven't seen the first.
So, I thought it was great. I'm excited to see it again. (My mom looks kindly upon Quentin Tarantino because she loved going to Video Archives back in the day. So I always see Tarantino's movies in the theater with her.)

Kill AOL webmail stinks, Kill Bill good
For 5 bucks a month you get a non-dialup webbased AOL email account which compared to free web-mail isn't particularly great. My complaint is that it takes forever to load up the webmail which is probably because the jerks at AOL didn't dedicate enough Servers into the web hosts, or the administraters are constantly with their thumbs up their arse. Perhaps the latter would explain the frequency. So essentially snail mail is really snot mail. If I weren't such a sentimental relic of the "you've got mail" era, I would cancel my AOL account.
I liked Kill Bill 1, which was above average and Kill Bill 2 was okay, which was slightly above average. Both movies weren't the greatest tarantino films but still enjoyable vs. other films in the market. If you're expecting brilliant movies, don't. Time flys by
Well I was trying to figure out what day it is, I just dont know how tomarrow is Friday. I dont know where the hell this week went.
Elrock: That is sweet about the job ending. Sounds like you are feeling good about things. Cell phone camera. Why? You slut. Those are evil. I bet its for you panty shot collection huh? Jerk. ANyway... Hey I need to dump actionshots off of the studio server. I never got the login info for FTP to actionteam.org to put that stuff on it.
Rude: Yeah the Metallica thing was very cool. Fortunately, they dont seem to dwell on Drugs in the movie. Supposedly, Hammett is clean since he started surfing a few years ago. That guy is a little perma-fried, but as it goes on he seems to get moreand more lucid. Hetfield went into rehab and is supposedly off the drugs and alcohol too. The movie is about their friendships/working relationships and not partying. You know somehow it doesnt surprise me that Pantera was into drugs. Just got that vibe about them, particularly Phil.
Jon: Keep me updated on Kill Bill, I have been interested, but I heard very mixed reviews on the first part. I heard the second is better than the first, but I am going to wait and see what the word is out on the street before I watch those two.
