quick, quick, fall. quick, quick, steponfeetouch.

Time for fun-filled days! I made a reservation for ye olde con. Three nights since that's what people seem to want or, at least, people aren't saying anything. If people do NOT want to stay one of the nights (Sunday, I guess) then please let me know and I will cancel that night ASAP. If everybody isn't interested in staying then I'm not interested in staying.

Aeryk! If you're gonna tell me to invite people over, then change the plan at the last minute, you gotta let people know. Gotta have the 411. Gotta have the info.
quick, quick, slow. quick, quick, slow.

now that i think about it, i want a car. LD's are the shit, but I bet if I had my own car I'd be getting poonanny out the yangyin!

review: DareDevil
Watched this modern-day masterpizza- sucked prettttty bad. It was SO bad. Not nearly as bad as Batman and Robin, but fuck- SO POINTLESS. Yes, I can't stand Ben Alfak, but it wasnt even about him being so unwatchable- the action was crap, the story was super-crap, and I'm sorry, but that chick from Alias just aint cute, IMHOPSAHJDKSNAWUAL. Just a total stupid movie. Spiderman was so much better, omg. And some of the CG was SO bad- fucking LAZY movie people- learn how to film stunts again. FAWK! Saw Phone Booth recenty too- jesus, pretty bad.

Yeah! Go to Thailland, dude, you can make those chicks dance for you until they pass out! If they make an excuse that they have to go the bathroom or something, tell 'em, "Just shit in my lap and keep dancin'!"
Screw that! You can get twice that...

by exploiting the 3rd world countries... 20 dollas can get you 4 TH's and so by spending 600 bucks for airline tixs, you'll have 1400 left for goodies. Forget the tips. You don't need them there.

Oh, by the way, you should probably spend the 60 bucks to take the car to a professional mechanic and get his advice on the car. My uncle used to help people with that at his shop. Old cars are good, especially benzs, like aaron said, german cars are designed fairly well. However, certain things always need checking, Shocks, alternators, sparks, brakes, timing belts... you never know.

Jael
i cant believe i hadnt thought of that! with average LD running about 2 minutes (if even that) I could be done in just over 2 hours! thanks for the first REAL advice i've heard all week!
Why waste your money? You can use that $2k to buy 66 continuous lapdances (+ $20 tip).

eggciting news!

interesting stuff on those mercedes enron! ya- i'm pretty afraid of buying a used car- i was just reading some buying guides and there seems like SO MUCH to look out for, cuz it seems like you can get pretty scammed/fucked by the whole thing. Ya man- I want a friggin Benz though- those 70s ones look really cool- the few i saw listed were around $2k, automatic, and supposedly in good condition. I was thinking, since their benz's, repairs would probably be real pricey and sucky- i guess i'll just have to be real thourow (how the fuck do u spell that worD???) with my research. thx for the info though.
Hmmmm....

Old Mercedes are pretty reliable. Its just, like most German cars, repars and maintanence can be very expensive. You might want to check what kind of engine it is. most of the older ones are Diesel. Diesel is a mixed bag. Better milage but more stench/particulate matter. Less fueling stations and typically more expensive fuel (but not always.. it really Depends on market fluctuations). They are LOUD; on the otherhand, diesel engine will drive forever, which is why a lot of the older mercedes on the road are diesel.

Yeah IKEA is cool, if not a overly generic. Bang for the buck is pretty high, but you have to be alert there, some of the stuff is not long for life. The fight club scene with the IKEA furniture is pretty tight. That was a pretty darn good movie. I gotta watch that again.

Go go gadget wire management! In what little down time we have at work, I have been embarking on an ambitious endeavor of cord management. This lab gives new meaning to spaghetti. "Dear lord, I have never seen such giganticism in a scrotum" I mean giganticism in wire heaps. Messy. Yeah fun ME!

Off to see the Lizard

are mercedes from the 70's still good cars you guys think? i'm lookin in the recycler, and there seems to be a lot of old mercedes benz from like 76 and 74 and they LOOK cool as all fuck, and they all say: run graet!1 , but i wonder... HMM. And theyre all priced at around $2k...
you are by far the most interesting one serving friend I have met

Clever movie. Fight Club is what I am referring to. The plot and ending are somewhat gay, but I found the dialogue fairly intelligent. The man's relelations is thoughtful and crisp. The part on IKEA was sheer brilliance. IKEA furniture by the way is the only thing I buy nowadays. Cheap, cookie-cutted, yet stylish and elegant. The essence of the 20th century. Aren't all of our lives similar, pumped out of "the factory"? consider... it starts from elementary school, then.. junior high... then high school... after.. college... after... we work. We work only until we've saved enough to retire... get married, and the cycle continues in an endless doldrum.

Jon, enjoy salsa!

Things I Like at this moment (a twist on erics take)

Permanent Markers (black): Possibly the best and most versatile writing util. It's great. You can write anything and it's permanent! I can think of a million uses, write on boxes to be shipped, initialing on your water bottle so yours won't get mixed up with others, write movie titles on blank DVDs you've duplicated, great to smell and much much much more! wow

Watermelons: Glorious juicy fruit, the only fruit that really carries the water content that you body needs to live on. Besides cactus, I think watermelons are the only other plant that carries it's percentage of water content. Fuck apples, pears, peaches, grapes... Also a good secret terminology for growing hemp.

things i hate:

1. breathing.

That power outage in New York is pretty epic! Hope it doesnt turn all "28 days later" when the sun goes down!

Elrock: I was in a Rhetoric & Writing class down in San Diego. I was a junior in a freshmen class (Go Aaron with forgettting to take this basic class my first year). This one 'Barbie Doll' freshman lady said "Like" with in the same 2 minute comment 56 times. I was instantaneously astounded at the brilliance of her comments. I kept thinking to myself that the professor was going to stand up and smack her across the face. But it never happened for me. Too bad. SDSU was the worst for idiot speak

Jon: My coworker is a Salsa nut. He just went to the Puerto Rico World Salsa conference a few weeks ago. Personally, I dont dance; so, Salsa just doesnt do it for me.

Ja -eL: Road trip it is. If at all possible I would like to try and get out even a couple hours early. I know I could swing it, but I do not know about Aimey or You. I was just going to come in an hour early and skip lunch/breaks.

Rude: I donno what to tell you. 2000 is not a lot of trash to purchize a car. Time to hit the recycler.

MotorByke: *Aaron turns the key*... Where is the pee? fuck'r!

Ry: You out of that joint yet? No need to torture yourself at that place... Tell your room mates where they can shove it.

Things I Hate, a List by Eric:

- The word instantaneously. When anyone uses this word, it makes them sound very 3rd grade. Someone in my office just used it on the phone and sounded so lame.

- When people use the phrase, "It's like (insert statement here that kinda sounds like an internal monologue)". Example: "I was driving down the 405 and the traffic was so bad, it's like, gimme a break!" C'mon people, let's use something a bit more illustrative. Say traffic was bad, say you hate traffic, liken it to sitting in a parking lot, but don't take the "it's like" way out of things. It's like, c'mon people! Also, used by someone on the phone in the office, actually the same person.

- Words or phrases that people either come up with that morning, or hear somewhere else that morning, or decide to re-insert into their vocab that morning, and then use all day long in every conversation that day. Example: (on phone) "Boy, we are just swamped over here! I've been driving all over God's green earth like a banshee the past couple of days trying to get things done with this company I'm starting. It's like, gimme a break!" I am guilty of this too, as we all are at times, but I think saying, "I had an AWESOME time" is okay for some reason. Also, used by someone on the phone in the office today. Repeatedly, and instantaneously.

- Some other things.

Salsa is hard.

I went with Jon T. to a salsa club tonight. There was a little lesson up front. The music and dancing were SO COOL, the girls were SO HOT, I sucked SO FUCKING BAD. Ohhhh. I don't exactly understand why I like salsa so much. It's just fucking cool looking but it's really goddamn frustrating to learn. Arrgh!

I'll probably head to the Torrance Marriot this Saturday... I'm becoming obsessed.
anyone selling a sweet car for $2000.00?

My car is officially "totalled" and the value of my car is about $2400.00. I know I have a $500 deductible with my insurance company, so I assume I'll be getting a little under $2k for all my worries. What would you guys do? Should I look for a used car priced around 2k or should I look into buying another new car - i hate car payments.

in somewhat maybe good news, i've probably got a second interview with Technicolor this week! Its in Glendale, I live in Los Angeles. Its 20 minutes from my house by car, about an hour by bus. Fuck.

-fuck me very much, thx!
