Wood Grindage
I hear there's some pretty good wood grindage shops around san jose. Sadly, I would not know... would have to ask some of my co-workers. The only wood grindage I get nowadays is from the office pencil sharpener grinding down my wooden pencil. Thats the action folks!
*Pulls out his pocket protector and does some heavy calculatin* 40 seconds of high-mileage grindage and 10 1 hour action packed brain stimulating strategies and calculating...
Eric, lets doooo it! Let's coordinate something on saturday. For some reason, I like the idea of medieval battles. I'm intrigued, plus I got a little spare cash to blow.

De Bellis Underneath Your Nose (now anyway)
Go to warweb and get it from them! Thats what I did along with some other obscure rulesets like Johnny Reb III, Beer and Pretzels Skirmish, Piquet and Face of Battle. I also ordered some terrain from there and thay have an ass-load of miniatures and other wargamin' goodies, it seems a good place, never had a problem with it. Also as far as the DBAOL is concerned, we can pay for 10 games for $9.95 also, which means no monthly charges if we don't play much over a span of time. Think about it!

De Bellis Antiquitatis - The hell, it's hard to find
Dboal looks cool. i doubt I would want to pay 9.95 monthly to play the online version though. The hotseat is pretty cool if stinky aaronovich will come over and play the game with me. Kingmaker and countless samurai games also awaits.
Anyways, from the replays, I like the simplicity of the combat. It seems like it's a mix between a really simple game like battle cry and a more complicated system like PBM. There are still combat values to account for, but combat resolution is very simple. The results are either death, retreat, or stay (stalemate).
Finding a copy of the rules seems to be the more difficult proposition. I looked at my local shops and I didn't see anything. There are several online retailers that the home site links to, but the sites are unnavigatable and using the search function hardly finds the game.

Hooray! Let's go to the POOB!
Mike Motorbike welcome to the fraternity! All that's left is the mandatory whipping and the box thing... and your done! It will all be clarified at the next convention. Coolio! Welcome to Theta Alpha Theta . org (TAT)
More important stuff:
Band: On the subject of this I agree with Oon, we are a cover band. We should "at least" be able to play the cover songs. This includes from our last session, Twisted Sister, but i think we need some more simple cover songs. Green day is always a good easy songs to play. I like Creed personally, and blink 182 but some of you may not. I also thought that we agreed to do an opener with "I like big butts" by sir-mixalot?
But once we get more serious, I tend to agree with rudy. How hard is it to fucking write some shitty lyrics and come up with 3 power chords to go with it? we should make lyrics and little bits.
Email account: I'll take an email account! sweatybeansandnuts@theactionteam.org
Firewalls: Also for everyone that has CABLE or DSL, make sure you d/l a free firewall like ZoneAlarm or Black ice because I usually get a few intruders a day, even though I'm only logged on for 2 or 3 hours. You can download them at ZDnet. Make sure you download the non-professional version as they often are only trial versions.

Hooray for Mike Motorbike!
Velkomen, Mike! But onto more important issues!
1) Jon, please change your "nickname" from "/images/jon.jpg" to "jon".
2) Does anyone want an actionteam.org email? We have unlimited accounts just waiting to be used. starkweathermoore@theactionteam.org is taken however, sorry....
3) Friday night is drinking and (bike)driving night in honor of Enron's last night here. I have three bikes, if anyone wants to come along, we need more bikes. Ryan is in, any other takers? And by any other, I mean Rudy cause I know Mike and Johnny will be there in spirit.
4) Rudy, could you send me that PSA again? My Antivirus was on freak-out autodelete any attachments for awhile and I missed it and really want to mix it in the tunes. At least I'll hear it if no one else does.
5) My choice of two cover songs are as follows: a) The Death of John Smith - NOFX, I'll get right on transcribing that one for everyone and b)Science and Myth - The Screaching Weasels, with c) Betty Crocker, Punk Rocker - Furious George, coming in a close third, unless of course I am kidding about the NOFX song....

Well, well well, gentlemen! You thought you could keep me away from Blogger by secretly arranging with hotmail to have them dump my addressess and set my account to exclusive so that I wouldn't get an invitation -- very clever. BUT NOT CLEVER ENOUGH! Now feel my wrath as I will assail you all with a blithering assalt of junk email like posts! Bwahhahahahaha!
Ok, so that's my first blog. We'll se if it worked, then, I'll figure out how to write more. I've somehow managed to get roped into "taking care" of all of the freshers (that's what silly Cambridge twats call freshmen) this year, so I'll be pretty busy from the start, but hey, who needs sleep?

There, doesn't that look and feel better
Ah, so now we are almost all on the level except for Jon.... next we have to get working on Jeff K's, er, I mean Rudy's caps posts....
When you change your profile nothing on the site gets altered until you post something new, and that still might not matter until Blogger changes its files because when the page posts it takes information from a bunch of different files and then plugs them into one html file and then FTP's them, so that is why the delay. Blah blah blah.
I thought you had to go to sleep a long time ago Ryan the Redass, hmmm, maybe a ploy to get me off the phone? Fucker.
As far as Mike Motorbike is concerned, I have made contact via his Cambridge address, APPARENTLY, his hotmail account deleted his address book and he had exclusive filters on which would therefore delete messages sent by us too.... somewhat suspect, but regardless, Football should be posting shortly!

Hey guys! I've been chewing over this whole music thing and here are my two cents. I think that we are straying from our roots as a COVER BAND. So, instead of making up songs or writing songs or all that bullshit, I think we should COVER SONGS like God meant us to do. We could get Matt there if he can come (he doesn't have a drumset anymore, just a bongo... nothing wrong with two drummers). Hell, we already have "We're Not Gonna Take It" down and we could easily do something else if we didn't -have- to play at the same time but could mix it. I still vote for Ring of Fire bigtime (...pretty easy to play, and cool, I'll even sing it unless "the producer" wants to).
